So youre phone is not turning on after flashing a new ROM? Sorry, its very hard to understand your post. The translation isnt the greatest... If you did try to flash a ROM and now youre phone is not turning on, do not tell T-Mobile what you did, it will void your warranty. Simply send the phone to HTC and tell them it just wont turn on. Theyll send you a new one under warranty. Good luck!
You tried to install a ROM for the Euro HD2 and that will brick a US HD2...the instructions here at xda clearly state not to use those on that phone.
As donkeypunch said, your only hope is to send it to HTC service directly, and not disclose what you did, just state that it suddenly won't boot anymore.
One person referred me to download the original rom for it is 2:13 ... and extract the file, you will see many files, has one. nbh, you rename it to leoimg.nbh, copy it pro sd, with the hd2 off you keep the volume down button and turn on the HD2, so install the rom by hd2 sd .. Already downloaded the rom just do not have these files available. Only the executable program's rom. Does anyone know where this rom down this way?
i also facing the same problem after i install ROM and now my HTC HD2 totally cannot turn on. Any solution? please help! Thanks in adcvance!
We have been seeing this more and more. I hate to tell you this but it is time to send it back as you have a very nice brick now. Please guys/gals Read before you flash, understand what you are doing before you try and you will save alot of time.

You need to unzip the exe file and it will give you the rest of the files. Good luck but dont count on it fixing it

I am interested in any possible solutions to my problems. I would like to be able to 'reflash' an HTC Artemis or XDA Orbit device (From the SD Card) with a modified NBH file (mods to the extended ROM section). Has anyone been able to figure out...
1) How do you reflash an Artemis device from the SD Card (if possible - I assume it is)
and
2) Is there any way of modifying the extended ROM section of the NBH file. Can you for example, extract the Ext ROM section using the NBH Extract utility posted on the site - modify it, recompile all parts back into NBH and then reflash device (from SD preferably, although via activesync better than nothing). I expect it will require a modified bootloader and possibly a Super CID device.
Many Thanks to anyone that can help.
no need of flashing etc.! simply edit it:

look post 8
Thats OK if you only want to modify one device. Not so great if you want to change 100 say. Flashing from the SD card is the way forward there.

L.O.L. ;-)
I might just do that if I get a solution
first thing done to the phone was to use Hard-SPL-V7 then I used OS 5.2.20924 (Build 20924.1.5.0 PV DVH) Black(Full) BS V27.exe changed to Schaps_WM6Pro_WWE_3.57a_Full_28-07.exe
phone work great radio was fine for a week and lost it yesterday change back to Hard-SPL
I can't load any radio alone but loaded full roms tried RUU_Hermes_CINGULAR_WWE_2_1_.15.502.3_6275_1.40.30.00_108_Ship loads all the way but no radio
Are you sure the stock rom had a radio rom in it? If you got from here and tried it may have been a stripped rom. Try running the Shipped ROM. It may recover or may not. Radio roms are the Achille's heel of the Hermes...

satriani22, right click on the .exe file . It should have the option to "extract here". This will give you all the file. I believe you will need to search through the folders to find the RUU_Wrapper.nbh file.
Copy to an sd card formated FAT32 (must be 2Gb or less) and rename to Hermimg.nbh. Put in Hermes & reset to bootloader. Follow the prompts.
YOU MUST HAVE HARD SPL INSTALLED TO DO THIS.
This is not a sure fire way to fix this problem, you may not be able to fix this...
Make sure you flash the SHIPPED STOCK ROM, not just a stock rom from anywhere.
Good Luck...
Any Idea or link where I can get the stock radio could use the help still a little lost ..
What carrier supplied the device? If it was AT&T, doo a search for the AT&T ROM. I don't know if they still have an upgrade on their site as most carriers don't support the Hermes anymore.
Radio
downloaded radio1.54.07.00 which is strip out of AT & T rom tried from computer to flash fail loaded the RUU_signed.nbh renamed it to hermimg.nbh copy to sd tried gets about a quater of the way and locks up any ideas ?
Sorry I didn't get back to you yesterday mate, bit busy.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but it may be that you have a permanent brick on your hands....
The radio rom is the number 1 cause of permanent bricks. If the memory area of the radio is corrupted then its impossible to fix. I have yet to see ANYONE say that they have permanently recovered the radio rom successfully.
I'm not familliar with english, but i'll try my best to be understandable.
I've flashed my HTC phone with a firmware that don't seems to work. (Network can't be reached anymore). I think this is a HTC TOUCH CMDA, so why the rom does not work on my phone. This phone comes from orange france provider, and have 128/256MO memory, so it is if i understood well an ELFIN.
I've backed up my original rom before going up flashing, and rebuilt the rompack with htcrom tool (i hope i made it well or i kill myself down)...
Very simple question at least...
What is the procedure to flash it back ?
Help really needed quick...
Best regards.
Francois.
Hi,
Quite easy question
Download ELF_USPL_2.26.0000.zip from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=445666
rename ur backupped rom to RUU_Signed.nbh
copy the new one and overwrite the old one in ELF_USPL_2.26.0000 folder.
Now run ROMUpdateUtility.exe and follow instructions, this should work.
Best regards
Hi all,
I 've had my HD2 with T-Mobile UK for just over a month now... Love it, but as always the case with HTC phones, stock roms are noway near as good as cooked ones..
I have been flashing new roms with previous devices I owned (Wizard, S710, Diamond), but I am a bit hesitant with HD2. The reason is T-Mobile.. They told me that I'll invalidate my 2-year warranty if I do, so I was wondering is there a way to find the stock T-mobile rom and radio to go back if i need to send the phone out for repair?
Thanks and apologies if this has been mentioned elsewhere.. I did search, only briefly I admit..
by far the easiest would be to dump (backup) what you have on it now [i think there is a tut in the blackstone forum]
then hspl and flash a cooked rom after that.
dumps from original roms are fairly easy to put back together with one of the kitchen packages

Hi sgiannis,
Try the following, look at Pagnell's post (#6)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=607584.
This is Version 1.43 (t-mobile) and is where i downloaded it from and it works fine.
First link in the first post of this sticky thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=577717 is a shared folder for Official ROMs. I uploaded the T-Mob UK ROM into the 1.43 folder and it is the exact same ROM I keep on my storage card for warrenty purposes.
By the way, the best way to flash for restoring warrenty purposes is to extract the exe into a new folder, rename the RUU_Signed.nbh to LEOIMG.nbh and then place it in the root of your SD card. Enter into bootloader (hold the volume down when turning the phone on and then when prompted press the power button. This will restore your SPL, radio and ROM to the correct versions for warrenty. I keep the nbh in a folder on my sd card just in case...

thanks guys.. appreciate that..
one thing:when you say place it in the root of my sd card, is that in any folder I choose or does it have to be somewhere specific? sorry if that's too basic..
you should format your sd card to FAT32 before you do this
so back up all your stuff on your computer so you can put it back on once youre done

Flashing your Viva
Hey guys, I'm a newbie here also and you are right, it is confusing. But here's what I've been able to figured out.
Go to this thread and download the file Opal_HardSPL_v2_0.zip.
When you uncompress this file you'll find see the file Opal_HardSPL_v2.exe. This program is what you use initially to flash the ROM of your Viva so that it's able to be Flashed with newer ROMs.
Download the ROM of your choosing. Sorry, can't help you much here. There are a lot of different ROMs out there and everyone's tastes are different.
Some of the ROMs that you download come with an installation program and some do not. After un-compressing your downloaded ROM if all you have is the single file RUU_signed.nbh then all you have is a ROM.
If you need an ROM update program there are a few out there to choose from. Here is a link to one that you can use.
If your ROM didn't come with an instalation program then copy it into the directory with the installation program you just downloaded and uncompressed.
You need to have your Viva connected and synced to you computer before continuing. Once this is done Flash your Viva with Opal_HardSPL_v2.exe that you previously downloaded.
Re-sync your Viva to the computer.
Flash your Viva by double clicking the ROM Update utility executable.
It takes about 10 minutes or so, be patient. Your Viva will reboot when the Flash is complete and you then just follow the instruction of the screen.
I think that about covers it. If anyone has any suggestions or updates or knows of something that I forgot to mention then please post a response.
Thanks
thanks for easy and quick steps, but i dont have guts to flash my touch viva.
