Ok I am using darks eclair desire and miri extralite Rom. I haven't an issue but for charging. It says I am but isn't. Any help? Now the other question is this, when I download stuff from Android OS, it says it has no room. Now I have 10gigs left, but says no room. Where is Android saving stuff? Any answers for both of these? Thx crew

I got Android on my hd2 ya'll!
I am using Darkstone's rom and have no issue with charging normally.
That said if i forgot to charge it and it gets so low that it powers off, the only way to get it to switch on is too charge it on the mains for 10 minutes or so before trying to power the phone on.
As for your space issue, have you used the new data.img file or instructions to increase the size of your storage to 1gb? Sorry that's all i can think of for the space issue.
Update your zimage to the 23rd or is you have a non us hd2 you can use the 25th zimage from cotullas site. It may give you gsod if you have a sharp panel. As far as the space problem update your data image to a1gig version. There is a thread dedicated to this problem. Now that you have more info you should be able to research the rest.
sent from my hd2 , thanks dcordes, cotulla and darkstone

Well I hate to flip it but, let's go back to my dark eclair desire build if we may. The only prob I have with that is the charge issue. It show its charging but doesn't. Any ideas?

I've tried a lot of android builds whilst the development has been going on and found that Bangster's 1.4 coupled with Michy's R11 was the best for me with regard to screen sensitivity and keyboard accuracy.
I recently had a dabble with m-deejay's next-gen builds Desire HD/Z etc (which are excellent by the way, credit to him), and found that I was getting a lot of screen bounce, missed button presses and a very frustating keyboard experience (Hastarin R7.1). Pressing and holding the delete key for example would result in keypresses bouncing all over the place, sometimes several keys removed from the delete key. I tried a plain Froyo Sense build and found the same thing, although not quite as bad.
So, I decided to try the bare kernel from Michyprima's R11 (AXI, Desire, OC) on my current Froyo Desire build just to see if it was down to the kernal 100%. Instant bounce removal... keyboard is accurate and now when I press & hold on the home screen, I don't get the screen wobbling from side to side as the software thinks that I'm moving my finger around rapidly.
To recap; it seems like I was getting more bounce with Hastarin's R7.1 than any other, but certainly Michy's R11 (Desire based) is making my phone usable again. It really was bad before.
More messing required methinks... I may re-load the Desire Z build on to my SD card and try R11 to see what it's like. One thing I remember is whilst trying m-deejay's Desire HD 3.1 (which had an Evo kernel IIRC), keyboard bounce was almost non-existant. It wasn't until I changed to D-HD 3.3 that the keyboard became a pain to use (Hastarin R7.1).
Hastarin if you read this, please note this is by no means a dig, I have the greatest respect for all the guys posting builds here, these are just my obvservations.
As with all things Android/HD2 related, YMMV. Your thoughts are welcome.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Edit: I've taken a couple of quick videos of m-deejay's brand new 3.4 Desire HD build showing this phenomenon (kernal is huanyu's #21). Replacing the zImage with Michy's R11 virtually eliminates it.
Video 1 - homescreen
Video 2 - keyboard
Could this be Windows ROM related? Might flash another WinMo ROM to see if it's any different.
Edit 2 Sent my HD2 back to HTC today, hopefully for TS replacement... see relevant post here.
Edit 3 Received my HD2 back from HTC's repair department. Problem fixed. No more bouncing Relevant post here.
No-one else with similar experiences?
Me too!
previously was using M-deejay's froyo sense 2.2 and the keyboard was a great improvement from my old stock HD2 Windows keyboard, which was oversensitive and jumps alot, making typing a hassle. I did not have any problems with the froyo sense 2.2 keyboard, it was accurate and sufficiently responsive, and even have my essential chinese input.
However, after the 2.4 version was released, i updated it, and noted that the browser's bookmark crashes. So i though, why not give EVO Sense 1.6 a try?
Btw, i did not realise any problems with the 2.4 keyboard, so it's probably as good as the 2.2 version.
Then i ran EVO sense 1.6, and i feel that the keyboard is different. Firstly it's the additional arrow buttons below, which is useful, and more like the original HD2's keyboard. Then it also has chinese input.
BUT i experience alot of the "bouncing" problems, if not more than my original HD2 windows rom. tried calibrating a few times, and deleting the calibration, but it doesn't help.
i want to emphasize again i am very grateful to all the developers like M-deejay, Hastarin, for developing all these builds that are effectively working. this is likewise, just my observation.
Anyone else? I can't believe it's just us two!
Videos added to 1st post.
I tried to replicate your problem (m-deejay's Desire HD 3.4) but I coulnd't. I also thinkg that the keyboarad its not as accurate as some of the builds but its not that bad as yours.
I'm sorry to say but the lag with the keyboard kinda looks funny
My keyboard isn't very accurate too. Sometimes it just takes the wrong key. I mean when I press the backslash it takes "m" or something although i was pressing backslash. This was on Hastarin 4.1.
But it really seems to be kernel related. With the r11 my keyboard is okay.
I don't think is caused by the WM ROM, but which one do you use?
have the same prob!
yep...and I get phantom touches also.

Well.. i have the same thing in hastarins latest kernel
I dont have this on DesireZ out the box.
I have MDeejay's latest Desire HD build and have this problem, how do I fix it? If I need to replace the Kernel how do I do it? What side effects will it have?
Thanks in advance
keyboard bounce also experienced by me when i am trying to type fast, using hastrin r7.1 as well, maybe is caused by the touchscreen delay?
have you tried keyboard calibration?
in the setting menu ..
it ask you to type that ..lazy brown fox jumps..
it helps me alot.. well some of it i guess
and also try the schrub bartome build. the keyboard is perfect-iphone like. im using this build for day use
I experience the same issue with the new kernel releases. But with hastarin #3 the touchscreen works normally.

Service and Lock Screen : 245.5
Lock Screen With Service & Data : 258.5
Total: 283 Secs = 4.72 Minutes ????
Seems Like a Lot .. When WM Boots in what 1-3?
RAM was very fast .. But you had to boot WM First so .. 1-3 for WM and 1-2 for RAM ?

What build are you using? Mine doesn't seem to take that long (mdj's cm7 build) ... also how many times have you rebooted the device? I usually set critical things up first boot then reboot then set up personal non-critical things then reboot again so as to let the rom settle in =] you also should disable GPS and bt as those might cause delay in bootup =] hope that helped

hey,
nice idea what you bring here
it will help us to decide witch build is faster
for mine, it takes exactly 01:19sec from blank screen shutdown to receive the network signal and ready for usage.
I'm using Gingerbread recovery build at this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=877777
it is not very fast as I expect, but good one.
any way, thanks for this idea,

Wow Nice ..
I'm using NexusHD2 Gingerbread NAND (available here), and I'm gobsmacked by the above "speeds".
From power off to lockscreen with data it takes me 49 seconds.
An Android restart (not full power off, but an app running a reboot of Android) takes 20 seconds.
I didn't realise other builds were so slow

Get some Gingerbread on your phone. You won't regret it
I don't know that it's necessarily gingerbread. The boot time for jdms is about the same for me. Also it only took 14 seconds from power off to go go go. So it's a little wierd what your phone is doing, it's almost like it's running on reduced power or something.

Hi everybody....I just upgraded to the MT4G from my old HD2. I love the new phone, but I am having some issues with it working smoothly on the Edge (E) network. I've had the phone now for about a week and I have noticed that whenever the phone switches to the edge network, the data connection seems to stop working (i.e. Google Maps, Facebook, Internet Browser all don't work).
Whenever my HD2 switched to edge, it used to run data applications slower, but it never just didn’t work at all.
Has anybody else experienced this? I searched for this problem, but I had no luck...

check to see if you have a good or bad screen first before rooting, return it if its bad. As for the roms CM 7 (2.3 gingerbread) is very good, solid battery life and good overall UI. For more of a stock feel go with the ICE glacier, very solid rom as well. Those are the two main ones that I use, debating which one to stick with.

thank's avery one ! but you didnt answer my question , it possible that the rom support the fast boot that in the desire HD ? and the sense ?
The ROM - it IS the Sense ROM from Desire HD.
Fastboot - you have Nexus, not Desire HD. Fastboot is tied with the phone, not the ROM.
I believe you don't know what you're talking about yet, so you should read some more.
The fast boot feature the OP is talking about has nothing to do with fastboot, just in case anyone is getting confused at this point

Good one! Some more confusion. Sorry for being the confused one.
i meen what DirkGently1 said , so i tried: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=791151
and like i thought it doesnt support the fast boot , and it often stuck [maybe because it steel beta] , i search in google but i dont sure that the rom i find support the fast boot , may you please give me one that support it ?
I am not a dev but I think the major problem with Desire HD roms on N1 is that they used too much ram memory,an usual N1 rom is ~100mb while a Desire port rom 150mb and the Desire HD port...260mb!!!
Meaning every and each stock app is heavier and is slowing down the N1!
The only solution is to replace some stock HD apps with normal Desire ones to make it lighter...
Anyway the best rom will be Desire HD + gingerbread for N1
Perhaps I will buy the desire 2 before it will be available
ahhhh now i'm understand why tha N1 stuck often.. but the rom is great so i dont care , one of the most importent thing for me ib this rom is the fast boot , something that very miss to me ,
Well, as it usually happens, it's wrong, and on more than one point.
It's not RAM, but Flash memory that Desire HD ROM uses. And using Apps2SD, it doesn't matter at all. It doesn't slow down N1, it doesn't get it stuck, it doesn't do anything of the sort. The apps just run as they do - and the CPU between Desire HD and Nexus One is EXACTLY the same (minus GPU and some other small differences).
If the ROM gets stuck - it means that the porting didn't work 100%, and there are still unfinished corners left. The same about the features - what's missing is missing because the phones are different and some things weren't adapted to run well on another phone with different HW.
To OP: this feature - quick boot from hibernation - is specified in the ROM thread and is working, and it's even shown on Youtube. If you don't get it working - it means you don't know how to. You're probably turning off the phone instead of hibernating it, and expect it to boot as fast as it would resume from hibernation.
Remember to wipe phone before install a new rom. Plus do a back up before even doing anything. nandroid back up now...
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
i must to put the n1 on hibernating ?
in yhe desire HD it also like this ?
Of course it is. The ROM can't and doesn't boot in 5 sec - it resumes from hibernation in 5 sec.
so what is good in hibernating ? i can lock the n1 and it the same
Hibernate = power off, memory saved on flash. The power isn't drawn from the battery (well, almost).
Lock = power on, sleep mode. The power is drawn from the battery.
See the difference?
hi its about my HD2.
about 5days ago my phone droped from my hand and felt on ground ! ceramics !
after that my phone hangs after playing anygame even 2D games !!!!
well games are no problem i thinks its from CPU or the cooling system it got cause when i play phones temp. goes higher and higher and screen freezez in game and i cant do a thing only pulling out the battery and w8 around 2-3minutes to make phone chill out and its temp goes lower then plug the battery and turn the phone on !
any way to fix it ? or any hint ?
anything would be great ! thanks alot !
Have you tried reflashing it starting with a task29? This way you can rule out it being a software issue and focusing on how to fix the hardware issue.
