Second this guys, as I want to install the 3-button combo fix on my GT-I9000 but the part about the ADB is what gets me confused, I have downloaded and installed SDK Tools as well as Odin (v1.3) and the .md5 file for the fix but I cannot understand the part about ADB...
I have read tutorials about ADB but it is still beyond me...
Please help us Noobies with an idiot-proof, step-by-f***-step guide on the ADB thingy! Thanks in advance and God bless!

Lately Ive been tryin to set up the sdk and I just cannot get it I wanna Root my MytouchSlide Can Someone Help me PLEASE!!!!!!
You need to be more specific with what you are having problems with.
Also pretty much every question about rooting this phone and flashing roms has been asked more than once. I suggest using the search function to find the information you are seeking. If you can't find an answer that way then feel free to ask a "specific" question regarding your issue and I'm sure someone here will be glad to help

That should solve any issues you're having.
bet your having the same issues as I did. Which is why i created a guide to help. It is in my sig on how to prepare root.
You only need SDK for the adb feature, you do not need to set up SDK other then moving the folder to the correct spot,(which my guide has directions on where to put it) adding tools from Eugenes post into the tools section of SDK.
Good luck on rooting your device.

Biggest issues while I was learning via this guide is the packages you install do not include the adb drivers for the slide which in my guide it shows how to do so.
I am about to give rooting a go, but I am struggling desperately with it. I got it all sorted on Windows Mobile 6.5, but android is making my head spin. I have a stock Samsung galaxy S Froyo 2.2. If people can just give me a yay or nay on whether the following steps are correct:
I have found this, one click root tool:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=803682
But before I can use it, it is telling me I need the ADB. I found the following link on how to install it:
http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile/...ll-it-android/
In order to
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/ja...ads/index.html
Following on from that, is it just a matter of downloading the Java SE JDK, then the ADB (Android Development kit) and then using the one click root to finish it all off?
Following on from rooting it, new ROM is it just a matter of downloading & installing them as I would have on Windows Mobile?
Many thanks guys
I don't see what is on oracle.com mayb wrong link...
But if u have instaled ADM and one click root tool you should be ok, it should work.
Just follow the spes in the first post of one click root tool on how to do it and you should be fine.
Many thanks mate!

I'm trying to root my MS2, but I found some difficulties on rooting.
When I run the Z4root, it stops and goes back to the Home. Nothing happens ever..
I know there is another way for rooting, but when I input "adb push...superuser.apk", the CMD says no such file exists.
Can any body help me?

Please search the forums BEFORE you start a new thread. this is creating unnecessary clutter. your problem has been answered in the [how to root] and the [video tutorial] threads in the android development for the milestone 2 section.
take some initiative and search through the forums. start a new thread IF AND ONLY IF you cant find a solution/answer to your problem. you will learn much more...

You were warned to do a full nandroid backup before you proceed to flash Ubuntu. Next time you flash, make a backup. I would like to give you a in-depth on how to revert back to android but I'm in class at the moment. (LOL. Sorry. I hope someone will help you soon!)
Suppose you could read the guide Ubuntu posted on their FAQ on how to go back to Android...but then again that's far to easy
Here's the link as I'm feeling generous this afternoon...

i tried this in this afternoon but nothing happen. is there any another way?
just flash any rom/stock rom/nandroid backup through the recovery that ubuntu installed on your phone.
you don't have a rom to flash on your phone?
use ADB to push it to your phone when you're in the recovery.
FFS why can't people read simple guides and use their brain for a second?
could you please help me more clearly, im noob and try to reinstall but not working !!

If you're a n00b why on earth did you flash something so radically different? Surely you thought to know the restore routine before hand?
Read efrant's guide in General, it has every step in there. If you can't follow that then you're on your own...
finally i can reinstall anroid to my phone using adb push thanks so much
So you didn't even follow efrant's guide? What's the point in asking for help if you don't bother to take it when offered?
