You were warned to do a full nandroid backup before you proceed to flash Ubuntu. Next time you flash, make a backup. I would like to give you a in-depth on how to revert back to android but I'm in class at the moment. (LOL. Sorry. I hope someone will help you soon!)

Suppose you could read the guide Ubuntu posted on their FAQ on how to go back to Android...but then again that's far to easy
Here's the link as I'm feeling generous this afternoon...

i tried this in this afternoon but nothing happen. is there any another way?

just flash any rom/stock rom/nandroid backup through the recovery that ubuntu installed on your phone.
you don't have a rom to flash on your phone?
use ADB to push it to your phone when you're in the recovery.
FFS why can't people read simple guides and use their brain for a second?

could you please help me more clearly, im noob and try to reinstall but not working !!

If you're a n00b why on earth did you flash something so radically different? Surely you thought to know the restore routine before hand?
Read efrant's guide in General, it has every step in there. If you can't follow that then you're on your own...

finally i can reinstall anroid to my phone using adb push thanks so much

So you didn't even follow efrant's guide? What's the point in asking for help if you don't bother to take it when offered?

First thing is, Official Android 2.1 is not yet available for the HTC Hero, so the only way to get this is to use a custom build.
To do this you will need to 'Root' your phone and install a recovery image. Just do a search in these forums there's loads of help around here.
Then you will be able to flash a custom ROM to your Hero...

yeah upload what you have got then we can debug it ourselves, will make it easier than trying to tell you what to do.
Try clearning cache and data in recovery before installing
im uploading now yes i edited the boot.img using the sdk version and used several bits from the desire honeycomb port not sure if its right at all and haven't changed the modules yet. If im completely heading in the wrong direction please inform me and i will give up
Here is my original attempt i've made several edits since but none have worked so here http://www.mediafire.com/file/vcn45ihdfgcjmhg/honeycomb.zip
right, what you have uploaded looks to me like its purely a Desire rom, you have not changed anything at all... no wonder its not booting!

Need Help Rooting, Really Confused!

Guys I have Nexus S i9020T runnig Android version 2.3.4, Baseband version I9020XXKD1, Build number GRJ22. I have looked around a lot and am confused on how to root my phone, is there any simple way of rooting my phone with super user? I run a very old PC so installing the sdk is pretty hard, so could anyone give me a step by step simple tutorial? This is my first Android phone and am a complete noob at this
Did you read the sticky yet?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1007782
It's a step-by-step tutorial and exactly how you should do it.
The SDK shouldn't really be a strain for your PC.
Good luck,
Greetz
You don't need the entire SDK. Grab PDAnet USB divers and then choose to download just the 2.3.3 SDK and Google USB drivers from the SDK. Worked fine for me this way. You don't need all the stuff the SDK wants to install by default.

Yes that guide works regardless of what Android version you're using because Android version is not a factor. It's the bootloader.
No, it is impossible to root without the SDK because you have to unlock the bootloader using the SDK. You won't get stuck at the Google screen. People are messing up because they're unable to follow instructions.

I've helped people in this topic many times.
The easiest way I can say is to first download the Android SDK listed in that step-by-step thread. It's not that difficult and you shouldn't be scared to do it. Unless you're flashing something for another model of the phone (such as NS4G) everything should be fixable.
Download http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html to your respective OS. If its for windows, I know it says recommended for exe but I prefer using the .zip version of it. So download that first if you haven't already.

I'm on.. like I said, I don't browse XDA 24/7. You want my help, I'm not going to come looking for you.
If your internet is really slow and you have to download ROMs after rooting. It might be rough on your end because ROMs are at least ~80MB+

Don't know why you're downloading the JDK but okay. Extract it and rename the folder android-sdk-windows-r12 to /sdk/ and place it on the root of your C drive. So it'd be located in C:\sdk\
You need to put your phone into bootloader mode (while phone is off; VOL UP + Power) while plugged in. Do what the instructions say and set up the drivers.
The step-by-step guide is self-explanatory. I don't really want to paraphrase what the guide says because it's pretty simple. Follow the guide you linked earlier and tell me if you experience any problems or have problems understanding what is being asked.
Edit: In part 2, where it says:
switch to the directory where you downloaded & unzipped the ..\android-sdk-windows\tools

download: http://www.mediafire.com/?y3is5c9n5fi1sd6 instead
when you finish downloading it, place it in C:\sdk\tools\
and type:

HTC HD2 - Changing to Android. Pls Help

Hi,
I have just purchased a new HTC HD2 on T-Mobile (U.K.) and I am loving it !
I am a total novice and wish to change from Windows 6.5 to the better latest Android OS.
Can anyone please tell me how to do this? I have no idea what I am doing and do not want to do something which may jeopardise the phone (I do know that it does affect the warranty) The only thing I know about 'Flash' it flashing my mobile in public.
I would really like if someone can give me Step by Step instructions via a video so I can see what I am doing.
Any feedback would be really appreciated.
Many thanks

Don't rush anything. Make sure you have a good idea about what you're doing and what you can do if things go wrong. If you're unsure about anything just use the search feature first and if you're still iffy about something, ask a question.

I think you are making this harder than it needs to be. Just follow the instructions given to you in your previously started thread about the same thing. The link to MSkip gives you detailed instructions on how to install Android on your HD2 and how to revert back to WM6.5 if you so desire.

Google is your friend. Haven't used it in a while. If you are that unsure of flashing Android to your HD2 just buy an Android powered phone. Sorry to be so brash but just follow the instructions.

I'll try to explain a bit. First off you've got to install the things that let you install Android in the first place (HSPL, MAGLDR, CWM etc) and after that you install a ROM. A ROM is the thing that will decide what version of Android you phone will have. If you don't like the ROM you have, or if you just want the newest version of Android, all you have to do is change it. You don't have to re-install everything again, just your ROM.
You might have to change your CWM partition size when you choose a new ROM, but the chef (person who made the ROM) will let you know what size you need in the thread. This is also easy and doesn't require you to re-install everything. Don't worry if you don't know what a CWM partition is because it'll make sense eventually.
