Hello everyone
I root, unlock the bootloader to install the recovery EPF21B and recovery-RA-nexus-v1.7.0.1, I have not changed my ROM. I followed the TUTO Modaco to unlock the bootloader and become root ( superuser.apk).
My question: Can i update manually for FROYO or the OTA update will I receive?
Because I have errors when i update manually for update.zip.
Verifying current system…

Thank you

Since you're asking a question, you may want to try the Q&A forum, mods will delete this one soon I'd imagine.

Hello!
I am considering rooting my beloved Legend, however i have a few questions before i start.
I´ve read that i can´t apply my own custom recovery, so how do the recovery work then?
After i´ve rooted the phone and installed a new ROM, can i just run the official update from HTC when they release Froyo for us, and have their update on it?
And the last question, in MoDaCos guide to root, it says the HBOOT should be of version 0.43 or below, mine´s 0.43.0001 - is this the same as 0.43?
Regards, patrick

Don't know how recovery works on other phones, but the ROMmanager app works as expected.

don't know. Mine offered me an OTA right after rooting (which also required a downgrade), but I didn't take it since I wasn't sure if it would break anything.
Custom ROMs that just take the official OTA and add root should be out quite soon after the official release though.

Same hboot here, worked just fine. I think some other guide actually stated version 0.43.xxx or below, so it seems the 0001 doesn't matter.

As the title says, is it possible?
I had read that creating a goldcard will allow me to install an older version of software than the one currently on it. So i can root and flash a 2.2 rom...
thanks.
-Nicky.
Not possible so far, as per my information.
darn...all i want is to oc my wildfire...
I rooted my HTC wildfire before xmas and now three have released the official update and i can not install this due to not backing up prior to rooting my mobile.
I was wondering if anyone has a CLEAN (not information on) nandriod back up of 2.1 i could please utilise to enable me to get the latest official three version
or a way to get the official update after rooting mobile would be great too
Thanks
Colin
There is an RUU at Shipped ROM's:
http://shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=android&model=Buzz
Look for this one:
RUU_Buzz_H3G_UK_1.16.771.2_Radio_13.45.55.24_3.35.15.31_release_131501_signed.exe
Remember though, you will not be able to root / install root apps / custom ROM's etc etc when you get the official 2.2.1 update.
Thanks

is there anyone with such a backup without number or software just as it is???
trying to update to official ics through stock recovery
The phone is running 2.3.1, do i need to update to 2.3.3 before i go to 4.0?
When i try to flash either official 4.0 or offical 2.3.3 i get error in
/tmp/sideload/package.zip
(status 7)
Installation aborted.
Any help guys?
What phone do you have (i9020A, i9020T, i9023, NS4G)? Also, you may need to update to 2.3.6, then to 4.0.3, to get it done in the stock recovery.

As the guy above me said, you first need to upgrade to 2.3.6 or at least 2.3.4.
Only then upgrade to ICS. It also should be written in the manual you upgrading accordingly.
You could visit this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1063664
It's a complete reference with links to each model.
As far as I know you could also download the full zip package of the ROM, and then install it without having to upgrade to 2.3.6 first.

Maybe you download custom stock ics.zip
Do you really download official zip file from google site?
