data connection not reconnecting - Galaxy S I9000 General

I use apndroid and tasker to switch off data and sync when screen is off while at work, and to switch on when screen is on. Seems to work fine most of the time but occasionaly the data doesnt connect for ages and can take 30-45 mins, i switch manually using apndroid it connects for a second then loses connection.
I just have to wait for it to connect it self, is this a bug? as I use the same tasker profile on my wifes xperia x10 mini and its instant, I switch on screen and within 2 seconds I have connection everytime with out fail so what could be causing delay in the SGS?

GPRS/3G data connection stop working after power off/on

If I have a 3G/GPRS connection working for downloading emails, surfing th web etc and power off the unit, and then back on the connection is still active, but it doesn't work any more.
I have to disconnect and reconnect in order to download again... VERY annoying.
Anyone encountered this problem, or better, have a solution?
(A work aroudn would be to have the data connection disconnect automatically at a predefined time, but I havent found any settings for this or any thir party sw that can manage that.)
Anyway - any ideas...?

Windows live Messenger always disconnecting, is it normal ?

When i connect thru EDGE or 3G i`ll always get disconnected by WLM on standby and when am using it...i don't know how often it happens when its on standby but it disconnects all the time and sometimes reconnects by it self...and it happens like every 5/10 minutes when am using it...what seems to be the problem ? it displays "wireless connection not available trying to reconnect"...it couldn't be a ROM fault because i upgrade all the time...thanks
It happens on my Omnia II also...
Samsung will auto stop your network after you don't use it for a while
And I use WiFi to login Messenger at home so that it won't always disconnect.
For you, you should aways chat to your friend so that the network won't stop

Connect to WiFi network timeout?

Hello. I'm sure that this must have been discussed but I cannot find the answer using search. As is surely normal, I use WiFi within the home and GPRS when there is no WiFi available. If WiFi is connected and I go out for a short while, then when I get back in a WiFi area, the WiFi is still connected. However, if I go away for a long time, and GPRS is used for perhaps a regular weather update, then the WiFi disconnects and has to be manually reconnected upon return to home. This leads to GPRS being used in a WiFi area unnecessarily if you forget to re-connect WiFi. Is there a WiFi connection timeout value or any other setting that can be changed? My old TyTN II did not have this problem. Thanks.
Try this CAB
It disable disconnecting WiFi when phone is in sleep mode and with this phone automaticly connects to WiFi when Leo will be in range.
Thanks Franq_23_pl. I think that the CAB just stops WiFi disconnecting when the device is in sleep mode. That will just drain the battery, surely? My old TyTN used to disable WiFi when in sleep mode, but as soon as you switched it on again, WiFi would be enabled and it would connect if in range. The problem with my HD2/Leo is that if I am away from my WiFi for some considerable time (ie, most of the day), then when I get back home and switch the device on, WiFi is disabled, and I have to manually toggle in on. So my question is..... What are the circumstances that cause WiFi to disable itself, and Is there some way of stopping it happening?
OIC now. I think you having some battery saving app and this app turning off WiFi when iz not used. What apps or registry mods you have installed on Leo?
You have the same behavior after hard reset?
My Leo don't disable WiFi. When i go outside (for ex to work) and back after few hours my Leo connecting to my home wireless network automaticly.
I remember, that i had the same problem like you and it was caused by app, which had duty to save battery.

Disconnect Data after certian time

Back with my Omnia 2 there was a feature when the screen is off for x amount it would disconnect data automaticly and i had it so my weather app would check weather updates every hour. So in the end every hour data would connect and update the weather and then after 2 minutes disconnect.
During the day i had it so when i opened Opera it would connect to data then and there otherwise was disconnected. Oddly though MSN would stay connect all day without issue.
So wondering if there is a way to disconnect data after like 5 minutes automaticlly and then when i lauch a browser/weather update it then connects. I guess this is the best way to save battery.

910F MM: WLAN doesn't automatically connect anymore

Hi all,
I noticed a weird problem after I installed the latest Marshmallow update on my N910F. The WiFi will not connect as soon as I'm in range anymore, but it will connect immediately when I switch on the display.
I noticed the behavior because I configured a Tasker task that will wake up my PC as soon as I connect to my home WiFi. The last two days I noticed my PC was off when I came home so I switched on my phone and saw that the WiFi was not connected, I was home for 10-15 Minutes. A view seconds later after I switched on the display WiFi started to connect (and my PC also woke up because of my Tasker task).
Once the WiFi connection is established it will stay stable - I checked my router logs, so turning off the display will not disconnect the WiFi. Of course I set my WiFi to stay connected in standby.
Has anyone experienced a similar problem?
I was having issue not this kind but whenever i diconnect to my wifi and then again teconnect it again it takes time to surfing the internet about 2 minutes.when i open browser and any site it first shows connection time out then i have to wait 1-2 minutes then it loads the site.i dont know i have noticed new settings under development setting there is network setting in there there are lots of option.one option is connect to lollipop dhcp .i tried to check and uncheck that also but didnt work out.

Today it did not switch on my display when I came home but waited to see how long it would take my Note 4 to connect to my WiFi. After 25 Minutes it connected. I wonder if this is some "doze" feature.
