USB tethering - Droid Incredible General

I did a search but got no definitive answer. I have a friend with a stock incredible and wants to know if he can use USB tethering and if so how?
Thanks

Either by pdanet, which is a free software that needs to be downloaded for the phone and pc, or mobile broadband connect, which is $20 a month for 2gb of data. It is a vzw service that can be found when you plug the usb in the computer. I would choose pdanet.
Sent from my Incredible using XDA App

Thanks for the quick response...I assume you can use pdanet with a stock (non rooted) phone?

Yes. Nothing is required as far as mods to the phone is concerned. The "hardest" (which isnt that hard) part of pdanet is installing it on the pc. It takes some knowledge of computers but not much. It should take 10 min, if that.
The only other option for free tethering is root and installing wifo tether, which is not uab tether.

I don't remember the process for doing it, but you can edit the DUN settings in your phone to use your normal phone's 3g connection instead of the separate username/pass for broadband connect. In effect, this lets you USB tether using the mobile broadband feature, but using your existing unlimited data plan rather than an additional $20 one
edit: searched it for ya.
Step 1: reprogramming your phone
from your phone, dial ##pst
enter security code 000000
click "edit mode"
scroll down to Security
change the "S.IP DUN User Name" to "<your phone number>@vzw3g.com"
hit back
scroll down to "M.IP Default Profile"
change "DUN NAI" to "<your phone number>@vzw3g.com"
press menu, choose "Commit Modifications."
The phone will power cycle.
Step 2: Computer setup
Drivers: download and install VZ Access Manager from http ://www .vzam .net
don't run the program, you only want it for the drivers.
Next, plug your phone in to the computer. Let windows take care of the driver installation.
Per your version of windows, you'll need to set up a manual dial-up networking connection. Settings you'll need:
Phone Number: #777
Username: "<your phone number>@vzw3g.com"
Password: vzw
Step 3:
browse the internet.

I would suggest rooting and using the patched android-wired-tether app attached to the first post of this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=706602
It is patched to work with some of the newer HTC devices like the Incredible, EVO, Hero, Eris. I use it and it works well. I run a hydra kernel, but I believe it will work with the stock kernel.

before i got rooted i used easytether.. it was really simple. download it from the market to your phone and then it instructs you what software to download to your comp..and you are good to go!
move to general?

Again I appreciate your quick response. I will have him download and install pdanet and if needed I can help him install on pc.
Thanks again!!

Forgot to mention: my method doesn't require a rooted phone. All settings can be edited from stock. PDANet is nice, but it's not free (after the trial, all https sites become unavailable) and requires an additional service to run on the phone... I feel like the native tethering uses less resources and produces a more stable link. *shrugs*

You DO NOT need root to use that method. I used this method about two weeks before root was acquired. It works flawlessly and it just tags onto your normal data activity so you can't be charged for it.
I would advise using this method below rather than downloading a restricting app that disallows certain things (such as ssl or https) or paying for something like the "premium" pdanet that you can do yourself for free.

Welcome! Thanks to whoever posted the quote of the method, it was hidden in the xda wiki (which is sometimes offline) for the incredible and probably deep in the forums.

See the link in my signature. Full instructions.

How do I tether on Sprint plan without getting charged?

In the quest for free tethering, I have got many different sources telling me many different techniques. Below are some of these techinques:
***IMPORTANT*** - Before you modify registry settings, make a backup using SPB backup or Sprite Backup. I tried to tether before changing the registry, and my internet got locked out permanently. I had to hard reset my phone because I didn't have a backup. If this happens to you (it will say your vision username and pass are incorrect, no matter what you do) then you can restore your backup and try again. You shouldn't have this issue if you change the registry keys and connect first before attempting to use the internet sharing app.
Here's the registry keys you need to change to hide that you're tethering:
get a registry editor like total commander, and go into
HKLM --> Software --> OEM --> Wmodem
Set every key in there (I think there's 4 IIRC) to zero.
This will disable tethering detection, and then you can actually go into settings --> connections --> Manage Existing Connections (under Sprint),and then change your default connection method to "Phone as Modem" instead of Sprint PCS.
after changing the registry keys and connection settings, you will want to soft reset, and then when your phone boots back up, you need to connect to EVDO by opening internet explorer. Once you are connected, you can close internet explorer, open the internet sharing app, change the connection from sprint pcs to phone as modem and then click 'connect' to start your tethering. It will do the rest by itself.
As a note, using the PAM as the default connection setting will give you a boost in download speeds as well, from what I've seen and what others have reported. Happy tethering!
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Now that I look at it, there are three keys to modify... CheckProfile, Multi-NAI, and WModemDUN.
I am thinking that the CheckProfile key allows the phone to check your profile on sprint to see if you have the PAM service.
I think the WModemDUN is disabled by default anyway, and am not sure what it does. But I do know that I can connect all day now using Phone as Modem and tether with no issues and no additional programs to install
______________________________________________________
you need PHM Registry editor found here: http://www.phm.lu/Products/PocketPC/RegEdit/
now navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\WModem
and set all the values to 0
ok, so if you disable all 3 then sprint wont see it as tethering then?

bump! anyone?
if the new rom then use the cab added just unzip it then install it to ur phone...http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=30265 here is the link I got if from it u want to read up on it.
-edit-
I forgot to say wait a few mins then do a reset for the settings to take affect.
all you have to do is load the sprint test rom and go into registry to delete the key that says ipsext.dll and tether away all day all long. umm... that is until they see your data usage amounts and cut your account off since there going to start limiting now.....

would you please elaborate on this, i.e. have you read an article somewhere?...?
well yea theres lots of posts on how to do this already....so im not taking any credit but heres what I did. I used the cokemans unlocker and loaded the alltel rom which I didnt like. So then I flashed the sprint test rom, after I did that the internet sharing under the com manager was greyed out or disabled. To fix this I loaded phm registry editor and went here...
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Comm/InternetSharing and deleted the value that said ipsext.dll and powered down the vogue. After booting back up my internet connection sharing was now working and not greyed out anymore. Ive seen other posts where the value they deleted was something else besides ipsext.dll but thats what it was on mine anyway. The data capping you can google and see there now capping at 5gig which is alot unless your using it for your only internet.

I have a Sprint Vogue (HTC Touch) and followed the registry path you said and found the value isext.dll not ipsext.dll. Do you think these are the same? After deleting it, the "use phone as modem" showed up in Internet Sharing.
BTW, thanks for the info!
If you go to PPCHaven, register, and go to Premium Content, DHarvey has posted a .cab file for fixing this.
crazy treo 800
I remove the dll in registry setting in internet sharing.
I can't receive phone calls, my internet hangs in 1x mode
and drop off evdo mode even having 5 bars.
anybody
Anybody know how I can fix this without adding back the registry setting.
I still want to tether
I have an mp6900sp vogu100 by sprint, and I can tether (with no consequence so far...) by doing the following:
1. Go to your comm mgr.
2. Turn on internet sharing.
Now comes the tricky part... If you try to connect, it will not let you unless you have a phone as modem plan. So...
3. Go to Menu (bottom right) and select 'Connection Settings'.
4. Select the 'Advanced' tab.
5. press the 'Select Networks' button.
6. Select 'My Isp" for the second drop down menu (private network).
7. Press the 'Edit' button under the second drop down menu (private network).
8. Press and hold down your stylus on the 'Phone as Modem' name until the pop-up menu appears, and select connect.
At this point, you should see a window appear which states the phone is dialing to make connection. If all goes well, it should connect, and all you have to do is go back to the first screen after turning on the internet sharing switch(by pressing 'OK' 3 times I think), and select 'USB' for PC Connection and press the 'connect' button at the bottom lefthand side of the screen. Hook up your usb cable at this time and you should now be tethered to your computer.
I believe you need to have active sync installed in order to create the actual network connection on 'Windows'. Linux machines should connect automatically using the rndis driver.
hope this helps

Tethering out of the box

According to ZDNet, the Droid Incredible does tethering right out of the box. Can any of those that have received it early confirm? The feature/app is called mobile broadband connect.
It is costs you money...Verizon charges $15 a month I believe.
According to user post at that blog, tethering feature from Verizon is not yet supported.
Tethering...
I spoke with Verizon and they stated that Tethering would be available for $30 per month for 5GB.
There normal Air Card plans are $59 per month for 5GB therefore the $29 you pay for the data plan plus the $30 for the tethering option = the $59 per month.
How they monitor and separate the 5GB is a mystery to me...
re tethering
i know the op just wanted to know about tethering out of the box.
but to all those that are confused about tethering.
There is an easy once time cost way. With things like
PdaNet / june fabrics.
its only 20 or so dollars and its a one time only price.
Just dont go too crazy with your data, ie keep it below 5gb a month and most likely you will never hear from your provider.
Or you could go the free / free route and root your phone and use on of the free android apps to tether your phone.
or pay $30 a month from verizon..
Im going to Pdanet route myself.
i tried today but it said driver not found for modem... disk drive htc sync and all found drivers and work... in the ppst on phone you can edit the dun username to remove the dun part so it see's it as just the phone dialing out... but now i need the modem driver...
Sent from my Droid using Tapatalk
Well, once the phone is rooted.. We just install Wi-Fi tether.

It's in the dialup networking configurations NAI settings - your phone has two usernames:
(phonenumber)@vzw3g.com
and
(phonenumber)@dun.vzw3g.com
when tethering, it automatically uses the second username to log in and track use. I haven't figured out how to get at the NAI settings on android yet (given the existence of pdanet, it's probably possible)...

Care to explain how to make a manual dun connection on the PC? Might also include what version of Windows you are running too just to avoid any confusion...
Edit: (On Windows7) Do you just create a new dial-up network connection, and when the username and password come up use the second loging (dun.vzw3g.com)? Or use the first one without?

perfect! thank you sir.
Though, I've only found the required username twice:
SIP settings (stationary IP, for those of you wondering)
MIP settings (mobile IP)
Then yes, make a manual dialup networking connection on the computer you're using to tether.

the dial-in phone number is #777
What about the driver? I wasn't able to get a working driver until I installed vzam. I tried HTC sync that was included on the phone, and the version for the Eris.

I went for VZAM first, so I can't confirm if the htc sync drivers included on the incredible work as stated above.
To Recap: In order to tether this without paying the extra $30 per month to Verizon, or installing PDAnet (and putting up with free pdanet limitations), here's what to do:
Step 1: reprogramming your phone
from your phone, dial ##pst
enter security code 000000
click "edit mode"
scroll down to Security
change the "S.IP DUN User Name" to "<your phone number>@vzw3g.com"
hit back
scroll down to "M.IP Default Profile"
change "DUN NAI" to "<your phone number>@vzw3g.com"
press menu, choose "Commit Modifications."
The phone will power cycle.
Step 2: Computer setup
Drivers: download and install VZ Access Manager from http ://www .vzam .net
don't run the program, you only want it for the drivers.
Next, plug your phone in to the computer. Let windows take care of the driver installation.
Per your version of windows, you'll need to set up a manual dial-up networking connection. Settings you'll need:
Phone Number: #777
Username: "<your phone number>@vzw3g.com"
Password: vzw
Step 3:
browse the internet. Duh.

[TUTORIAL] Flash Epic to Cricket.

--**Here's a method to get the Epic flashed to cricket with internet and apps***--
***Edit- I cleaned up my post and attached a good PRL to use (42700) and "ConnectBot.apk". I also believe I have MMS sorted out. I'm gonna double check everything later tonight to make sure there's no issues and I'll update my post accordingly.
---Requirements---
*Download and install Qpst. 2.7 build 355
*Download and install normal Epic 4g drivers.
*Cricket prl. (42700 PRL is what I recommend. I've attached it to my post)
*USB Cable
*Your MSL.(I attached connectbot to my post in case you need it)
_________________________
---Getting your MSL---
-If you know your MSL already you can skip this part and start at the "Getting started and setting up QPST".
1. Find and install "Connectbot" found in the market or at the bottom of my post.
2. Select the dropdown box on the bottom left that says "SSH", and choose "local". Put whatever you'd like in the nickname box and hit "enter".
3. Click on "Android".
4. Use the command "getprop ril.MSL" and hit "enter".
5. Your MSL should now be displayed.
...If that doesnt work...
1.Type "getprop" instead.
2. It should show a long list, scroll down to the section that starts with "ril".
3. You should see "ril.msl", the 6 digit MSL number will be after that.
---Getting started and setting up QPST---
1. Plug in your phone to your computer and when prompted to choose between "Charging, mass storage, or tethered modem", choose "Tethered modem", then choose "3g modem".
2. Open up QPST > "QPST Configuration". Click on the "Add new port" on the bottom right. Uncheck mark the "Show serial and USB ports only". In the box above it, you should see your phone connected and the corresponding COM port. Select it and the "Port" and "Port label" will autofill. Hit "Ok".
3. Open up QPST > Service programming. Select your phone in the "Select an active phone" box.
Click on "Read from phone" and enter your SPC when prompted.
***(Note: If you are having trouble with QPST recognizing your phone, instead of using the "Tethered modem" method when plugging in your phone, dial ##8778# and switch both the "UART" and "USB" options to "MODEM". QPST should then see your phone. Revert the "MODEM" option in the previous menu to "PDA" when done.)
---For talk/text---
1. You will first write a new prl to your phone. Cricket prl 42700 is preferred.
2. Click on the "Roam tab at the top.
3. Click on the "browse" button under "Preferred roaming" and locate the prl file you wish to write.
4. Click on "Write to phone".
5. Let QPST do it's thing and voila, your new PRL will be written to your phone.
---For internet---
1. Click the "M.IP" tab (may be "M.IPv6") and set "Mobile IP Behavior" as "MOB + Simp".
Select any profiles listed under "user profiles" and click edit. Do the following for all profiles:
Make sure that "profile enabled" is checked and enter in the following:
NAI: [email protected]
Tethered NAI: [email protected]
2. Change "home address", "primary ha", and "secondary HA" to all zeros.
3. On both "HA Shared" and "AAA Shared Secret, select the "enter text string" and type in the following password (all lower case): "cricket".
4. Click "Ok".
5. Set active user as "0".
6. Click "PPP Config".
7. Click the "Um" Button.
8. Under user ID enter: [email protected] as well as for tethered NAI. If a text box is black with red lines in it, click it and press ctrl + D. Enter "cricket" in the password box.
9.Click the "AN" Button and repeat the last step.
10. Click "write to phone"...After that, you should now have the 3g icon on your phone.
11. Last step to get internet and apps working, if you're already activated on cricket, is to call customer service and have them switch you to the 55 dollar Android plan.
_________________________
*Please note: They have a 55 dollar "All-in" plan, as well as the $55 Android one. So make sure you're put on the right one. I've had most luck by asking to speak with the "Smartphone department" and then requesting them to have my equipment and plan changed.
**Thanks to anderdroid for testing Android plan with fascinate.
Hope this helps! PM me if you need a download link for QPST.
how would if you do it using QPST?
I am still waiting for mine to arrive but I always use QPST to inject to other networks and unlock the EVDO
wait for further infomation, because i want to use it in China, where the carrier situation is a little complicated.
cdma isn't carrier locked, if its the same frequency then you should se if cricket will flash it for u

Alternatively...you can install the regular Epic drivers and plug in the phone...when given the three choice prompt, choose "tethered modem"...then select 3G tether. The phone will then connect on a COM port and you can then connect to your phone using CDMA Workshop, QPST, or whichever programming tool you prefer and flash the prl that way. I'm still working on getting the data up and running.

Default 16 digit should be 01F2030F5F678FF9, give it a try. You can also use CDMA Workshop to read and change your Epic's SPC, which is the way I prefer.
So, quick question, do I need a specifically modded rom to run my Epic on Cricket, or is it that I can use any rom and then flash the phone??? I'd like to know this because I bought the phone off contract and would like to use it on Cricket. -thanks

Nope, doesn't need to be any specific rom. It can be whichever one, even the stock one.
Sick!!! this makes my life so much easier thanks!
I finally managed to write AN data parameter for EV-DO, using QPST 2.7 build 355, other version wont write the ev-do parameter. Data is ON now for my network.
This is only because my carrier using simple IP, I believe cricket is using a mobile IP, so the case might be different.

Assuming you have your MSL...
-Requirements
*Download and install Qpst. 2.7 build 355
*Download and install normal Epic 4g drivers.
-Plug in your phone to your computer and when prompted to choose between "Charging, mass storage, or tethered modem", choose "Tethered modem", then choose "3g modem".
-Open up QPST > Service programming. Select your phone in the "Select an active phone" box and click on "Read from phone" and enter your SPC when prompted.
For talk/text
1. Write a cricket prl using the "roam" tab, Cricket prl 32100 is preferred.
2. Click on "browse" and locate the prl file and then click on "write to phone".
For internet
1. Click M.IP (may be M.IPv6 and set Mobile IP Behavior as MOB + Simp.
Select any profiles listed under user profiles and click edit. Do the following for all profiles.
Make sure that "profile enabled" is checked and enter in the following:
NAI: [email protected]
Tethered NAI: [email protected]
2. Change home address, primary ha, and secondary HA to all zeros.
3. On both HA Shared and AAA Shared Secret, click enter text string and type in the following password (all lower case): cricket
4. click ok
5. Set active user a 0.
6. Click PPP Config
7. The "Um" Button
8. Under user ID enter [email protected] as well as or tethered NAI. If a text box is black with red lines in it, click it and press ctrl D. Enter cricket in the password box.
9.Click "AN" Button and repeat the last step.
10. Click "write to phone"...After that, you should now have the 3g icon on your phone.
11. Last step to get internet and apps working, if you're already activated on cricket, is to call customer service and have them switch you to the 55 dollar Zio android plan. They have a 55 dollar "All-in" plan, as well as the zio one. So make sure you're put on the right one.
I made this in a hurry, but I believe I got everything.
**thanks to anderdroid for testing Zio plan with fascinate.
***Edit- Since I'm a new member, it wouldn't let me post the links to the downloads of Qpst and the 32100 cricket PRL. PM me if you need either.
Now if there was a way to make sprint think this was a Hero and not an Epic then we could avoid the $10 charge. That's the only real reason I have went back to the Hero.
Wow, great guide, thanks! Just a couple o more questions, sorry. Where one has to input the 10 digit cricket number it is assuming then that you have an account already and that you'll be moving to 55 dollar plan in order to achieve that change to 3g enabled correct?

No problem, but to answer your question...yes, it is assuming that. You can get your account set up first and flash the text/talk portion using the steps above and once that's done, you can get the internet set up and working...
Perfect, thanks! :]
If anyone would like screen dumps I can do this... There were a couple of steps I needed to do to connect.
Thanks for the help everyone!
EDIT:
Rock on... Got data now! I had to do this all because my wife and I are going through a divorce. I purchased the phone, but it was on her account. Well she decided to turn it off, and I remembered hearing about how everyone changed their phone over to Cricket...
The store that I started my Cricket service with gave me the all in 55 plan. Had to make a call tonight to get it changed. Nothing happened after the first call and after the second call I asked if there was anything I needed to do. He told me to dial *228 talk and then it would reboot itself. I was hesitant because I thought this might be standard operating procedure for just the Zio. I dialed it and listened to the message. Then it hung up and a pop up screen said CDMA call dropped. There was an X inside of a circle next to the signal bars. I finally rebooted it and then the data worked.
I got the MSL by using ConnectBot from the market and followed this procedure, logging in local (bottom left drop down menu), typing a random username, connecting, and using the "getprop" command.
What will we have to do to get the Froyo update though?
I need those couple extra steps to connect since I'm having trouble getting the phone recognized by QPST please
Open QPST Configuration > Ports > Add New Port (you may have to uncheck Show Serial and USB....)
If you can't locate the port based on the results then go into your Device Manager on your computer. Check under COM ports there to see what your Samsung is under. After you add this port then you should be able to use QPST Service Programmer.
Uh another cool thing is that I can use the Sprint Hotspot utility. I took the security off and it works. 3g hotspot for free and without root.

[BUG?] Wifi, Data Connection and Internet Sharing

Hi all,
Here is how to reproduce this problem (for my Omnia).
1. Have data connection and wifi on. Both data and wifi work properly (i.e. when outside of wifi zone, data is used and when inside wifi zone, wifi is used).
2. Enable internet sharing and using another device connect and navigate the internet.
3. Disable internet sharing.
4. At this stage data connection and wifi should be on again. Try navigating to a webpage. 3G/3G+ intermittently flicks on and off (as if wifi is not being used), phone experiences difficulty connecting to websites. Turning on and off wifi temporarily fixes this issue but it comes back after 3-4 minutes.
This seems to be connected to some other guys who have issues when data connection and wifi is on.

[XAP] Internet Sharing + Interop Unlock all-in-one for Samsung Phones tnx voluptuary
1.) First unlock your Samsung phone (chevron unlock)
2.) Use the Application Deployment tool to send THIS to your phone. You do not need to run it and you can delete it after it has been deployed.
3.) Install the Diagnosis app by typing ##634#
4.) After the Diagnosis app starts type *#9908# and select 'System Tweaks' press 'Save' then 'Close' and RESTART your phone.
5.) Your phone now has internet sharing and as a bonus is interop unlocked!
EDIT: I built the file depoyer app using the tools provided by Heathcliff74 so many thanks to him! Also ADC is built in as well so no need to worry about that and I also upped the max number of connections from 3 to 5 devices.

Hi guys, this is my first post...
I have unlocked my Omnia7 (already unbranded, with Vodafone Italy SIM) with Chevron Labs.
Everytinhg works very well, so I tried to unlock 'Internet Sharing' on my device following instructions provided on this post.
Now I have some strange effects..
Samsung HUB and Vodafone HUB disappear in the marketplace HUB and I've noticed that 3G navigation and mail check are very slow.
I'd like to know if there is any way to get only 'Internet Sharing' without interop unlock, or
- is there any way to repair network configuration (if i unistall Network Profile teh I can't download it anymore because I don't have Samsung HUB)
- if there is any way to 'rebuild' (sorry for my poor english) missing HUBs in marketplace.
Or is there any way to revert 'File Deplyer.xap' effects?
Regards
Got an unbranded Omnia with latest update and have no tethering....
I would like to know if there is a way to enable it without unlocking....
I think our unbranded ones are not getting it because it messes up Samsungs Network profile app and the users would have to setup APN's manually.

[GUIDE] Flash Sprint Moto X to Page Plus

Hello all! I recently won a Sprint Moto X on eBay for the shockingly low price of $130, and I decided to attempt to flash it to Page Plus. So, in order, that others may benefit from this awesomeness, I decided to post a basic guide. One thing to note is that, if you have flashed Sprint phones to Page Plus before, the process is very similar.
DISCLAIMER: This guide comes with no guarantees of any kind. If you lose personal data or service, brick your phone, or lose your arm to gangrene, I am not responsible.
Stuff You Need
A PC running Windows
Motorola Drivers (download here)
SPCUtility APK (download here)
DFS (download here)
QPST (download here)
Page Plus PRL (attached)
10.key file (attached)
Stock, rooted Moto X 4.4.2 firmware (you can try an older version, but I've only tested on this)
How to Do It
First, if you don't have one, get a Page Plus phone number and account. You'll need it for manually programming.
If you have trouble getting Page Plus to accept your ESN (which is the MEID you'll find in Settings > About Phone > Status), try live chat until someone is okay with activating a 4G phone. They will probably warn you that they offer no support for programming 4G phones.
Make sure to Live Chat with Page Plus and ask for your MDN, MIN, and SID. Most likely, your MDN and MIN will be your phone number.
Once everything on Page Plus' end is set up, dial ##DIAG# on your phone. In the screen that appears, click the overflow button and choose Edit. Then set Diag Port to Enable.
Now install the Motorola drivers so you can connect your phone to your PC. This is sometimes a tricky process, and I don't know why. Google is your friend if you have trouble. When successful, you will see this in Device Manager.
Before attempting to program, you need your MSL. Install the SPCUtility APK and use it to get your MSL.
If you haven't already, install DFS. Open the program and click the Ports button in the upper-left corner. Then double-click the Motorola QC Diag Port to select it. (If you don't see this port, the drivers are not properly set up.) Close the Ports window.
Enter your MSL in the SPC box under the Ports button. Then click the SPC send arrow. Your log window should show DEVICE UNLOCKED. (If the log window is not visible, click the Log button in the upper-right.)
(Optional) In the General tab, click Read in the SPC box. Then replace the SPC string with 000000 and click Write. This sets your MSL to all-zeroes, useful for future programming.
In the General tab, click Read in the Config box. It may already read NV_ONLY. If it does not, set it and click Write.
Go under the NAM tab and click Read at the bottom. The fields will populate with your phone's current programming. Now replace the numbers in both MIN A and MIN D fields with your MIN. Fill the MDN and PCS fields with your MDN. Finally, in the Home box, fill in your SID and click Write.
In the PRL box, click Load and select the Page Plus PRL you downloaded. Click Write.
At this point, you may click Reset and your phone should have talk/text. Try taking and sending one of each to verify that everything has gone right so far.
Now go back to DFS and send your SPC again to get back to work. In the Data tab, click Read, and then fill out all of the UID fields and the HDR AN NAI field with [email protected] (the X's being your phone number). In the PPP SIP NAI, use [email protected]. Put "vzw" (sans quotes) in all of the password fields, and make sure the authentication box is checked. Click Write.
Go to the Mobile IP tab and click Read. At this point, I admit that I do not know 100% what I am doing, but that these settings worked for me. Basically, make your settings look like these ones, but input your number where I scribbled out my own. Also, for everything in the Selected Profile Settings box, put it in both the first and second profile selections. After filling each of those out, click Write current profile settings. Then click Write in the left box.
At this point, reset your phone. You might have working 1X after a minute. Irrelevant, because we're about to go for 3G. Close DFS.
Open QPST Configuration (install it if you haven't). Click Add New Port... and select the only available port. Click Okay, then go to Start Client > EFS Explorer. Select your phone and enter your MSL. It will take a minute to read the phone's EFS data.
Once the EFS data is loaded, right click the root directory and click New > Directory. Name the new folder DMU.
Inside the DMU folder, click File > Open and select the 10.key file you downloaded. Verify the target path is /DMU/10.key.
When the file is copied successfully, click Phone > Reset Phone. When the phone reboots, wait a minute or two. You should have 3G!

MMS Fix
Download and install 8sms from the Play Store or their website.
If you're using KitKat, be sure to set the new app as your default SMS app.
In the app, go to Settings > MMS Settings.
Now set the following:
MMS Network: Sprint
MMSC: http://mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms?X-VZW-MDN=XXXXXXXXXX (the X's being your phone number)
MMS Proxy: leave blank
MMS Port: 8080 (if that doesn't work, try 80)
MMS over WiFi: Off
Volia! You should have working MMS.
Now, I freely admit that there are numerous places to go wrong here, but this is what worked perfectly for me. If you have trouble, tell me and I'll try to help. Also, check out this thread for general flashing reference. Viper is an expert at these kinds of projects.
Happy flashing!

Flashing between major, independent carriers is illegal. Legally we can only flash between MNVOs.
but what mean MNVO ? I am not USA citizen I live in Republic Of Georgia

It wants your MSL/SPC code. Look for the app called SPCUtility.apk in the OP.
I downloaded it from an XDA page by the guy who developed it but I no longer have the URL and don't recall his handle.
It will tell you your subsidy unlock code, at least it did for me on my Moto X and for several other folks with other Android phones.
