Ya I save them as jpg, the same format as x10 save it as. But is funny I uploaded it to facebook n is the photoshop edited version... I juz cant view the edit version in my x10... It seems x10 save the pic in multiple place, so when viewing it in x10 is the original version...

You should clear data too, don't worry, it won't ruin your phone.
I clear everything n is still the same... any other ideas?
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
Where have you stored them? Think you have to put them in a specific place on the SD card...
I save in the default folder... Root/DCIM/100androi... Folder

I would like to if there is any app in market which can compress the photos taken by x10? So tht it can b send faster whn u r on 2G n no access to wirless.
Thanks
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
There's several hundred apps to shrink pictures.
I use "Small Pic", because it lets you email the pictures directly from the app. I'm sure there are dozens that are better.
Hint: The market has a function called "search." In the search box, you can type in "compress photo" and the results will surprise you.
Thanks iead1 for ur hint . Wel i was looking for any good1 thtz familiar here. Wil giv " small pic" a try.

Hi
I dont know why the pictures and videos of my games shows up in the gallery. Is there a way to remove them without deleting them from the game directory?
It never happened before but it happened since i upgraded to darky 9.5
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
Simply place an empty file called .nomedia in each directory you want to hide. Don't forget the dot in front of the name.

I have tried this one. Not that helpful for Arc (maybe we need more options in the slide bar?)
IIRC, the write/read speed was 5/15 MB/s before I use SD speed increase. And after trying 1k,2k,3k, and 4k buffer, the read speed is about the same (4.8~5.7) and probably have a slight boost at the first second of writing. The read speed increased a bit to 17~20 MB/s.

For me sometimes after putting new photos or videos on my arc, it doesnt refresh gallery and all pictures are empty. I need to hit taskkiller and reopen gallery to fix that one, maybe we've got same prob.
Maybe the gallery thumbnails are bugged, causing a strange behaviour(albums appearing and dissapearing). You can erase them this way:
Go to SD(with Astro or similar) - Android - Data - com.sonyericsson.gallery - delete "cache" folder.
Then restart the gallery and let it load everything.
I hope it helps.
The stock android gallery is pretty slow and dreadful, it used to cause my htc hero to grind to a halt, and it's still not exactly snappy on the arc.
If you want a fast gallery app, try quickpic from the market.
Still got the problem... cant take screenshots on phone either so cant show how it looks. Ive put a 32gb card into the phone would that make a difference?? just took about 10 pics tonite and cant view any of them.... broken image thumbnail pic.
finally i found my solution!
my scans found no media, nothing in the gallery, nothing in the music player and i was going crazy, but then i found this:
If there is a (possibly empty) file named ".nomedia" (without quotations, and make sure you put the dot as the first character) in a folder of your card, then this folder WILL NOT BE SCANNED (if there is a .nomedia in the root of the SD card, then the SD card will NOT be scanned).
So make sure you delete any unwanted of those and then try
"Rescan Media" by Aditya Talpade (android market)
Disable Facebook inside Xperia, if you dont want to suffer from gallery load times, the gallery tries to sync a new folder called "new from friends" each time.
I didn't have a problem with the gallery till I got the 2.3.4 update. Like most, I have the same problem, it takes time to open a snap. Sometimes it's displayed as a broken image.
What would be the best alternative to the stock gallery app?
I've got one other problem. I had formatted my phone a month back. Before that, I backed up my photos. When I transferred them back, the order got messed up in the gallery and so are the dates. Anyway to rectify that?
Probably a simple answer, but how can I reduce the resolution if a photo for sending over email? Sending my 8mpixel photos is using too much data on 3g, and 640x480 will suffice.
I don't see this option in photo editor but I'm probably missing something simple!

does the factory Gmail app automatic resize the pic when u attach it to an email? I know Handcent sms app will auto resize the pic to whatever dimension u specify in the setting. Search the market for picture resizer app, i know there are plenty free one out there.
I normally use this: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.shoozhoo.imageresizer&feature=search_result
It does the job well and best of all it's free
Picsay or Photoshop mobile will work beautifully!

I'm trying to hide some pictures from folders that I need from the Gallery app.. I used to do this by adding a ".nomedia"folder.. But since I got the galaxy s3 it doesn't seem to be working that way.. I can't delete the pictures or the apps won't work.. Does anybody have a fix for this.. Without downloading a application for it? Thanks for any help you can give me!

I used to use a folder.. But either way neither of them work (file/folder)
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
just add the .nomedia file to the folder.
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda premium
How are you adding the file? Maybe I can walk you through it... check you private messages if you need help still
After you add the .nomedia file, clear gallery cache, reboot, and see if the pictures are there.
I did... I have never had a problem doing this before.. Until the galaxy s3 its soo strange., I appreciate everyone's help thank you so much.. I just can't figure this out. I will post some screen shots

You could also try deleting those pictures. Then they're sure to not show up.

I just sent you a link in a private message with the nomedia file i created - maybe the one your creating has a permissions issue, so maybe if you download that one and put it in your directory, then clear the data and reboot it will fix your issue...
I had this problem too. Download hide it pro and you can set pics to not show in the gallery.

I think your problem is using myfiles to create the file - try using a different file explorer - i use root explorer but there are others ones like astro that should work, then clear the data and reboot....
If you look myfiles doesnt see my .nomedia file but root explorer does:

If you clear data it will not delete your photos, it will just make gallery rebuild its database of the files...
Why are you adverse to downloading an app to accomplish your goal? There are free apps that do what you need and with a lot less time and hassle.
