co-pilot live 8 help - HD2 General

i recently downloaded the co-pilot app and it works fine except for the live friends portion. worked with alk and they referred me to t-mobile and t-mobile referred me to windows live.
the instructions says to add an account at live.alk.com which i did and when i tried to login on the phone app it fails - invalid login or password. i can log into the system on my laptop.
alk said my email address was to long, changed it and i'm still having the same issue. i'm not sure if i can use this feature in hawaii, the alk representative couldn't answer that.
is anyone having this same issue?

Blackberry configuration

here are two files to configure blackberry for microsoft exchange and lotus notes including pdf file with instructions
tried to set this up before and drew a blank big time entered the info as it requested pin and imei but it kept saying i was a registerd user ,spoke to a decent bloke at 02 got to speak to him 2mora see if blackberry can reset my account even thou ive never used it strange anyone manage to get an account set up at www.o2email.co.uk .....
Pen6uin, where did you find the PIN to enable registration.?
The Pin
Can be found once you open up the blackberry software and go to settings, make surfe you click 'enable' and 'start', it will then be below the IMEI. I must add that O2 told me quite emphatically that this service will not be available until Jan. 2005.
blackberry service
For what its worth; I called O2 this morning as was told the Blackberry service was due to be available from 1 Nov, but there is a small delay.
The lady I spoke to went away and checked with the "data team" and told me it should be available in the next couple of weeks....
(Surprisingly; she was aware that the new rom release for XDA II included blackberry software; usually the call centre staff seem to be the last to know such things)
Was playing around with the Blackberry software installed the in 1.72 ROM but don't think i can use it as i'm not subscribed with O2 UK
What about Wallaby ?
Any hint whether this BlackBarre application can be installed in anyway on an XDA 1 ?
I lifted the HTC_PocketPC_1.2.4.19_O2_England.cab
from 1.72.181 extended rom from hobbit http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=12526&highlight=blackberry
and tried to install in on a Qtek9090 (xdaIII, pda2k)
Everthing installs OK but when I am to connect to the device from the PC it claims that the "Services are not correctly configured"
I have checked for configuration files and settings in the registry but at a quick glance it seems that the configuration is hardcoded in some dll.
I have BlackBerry Enterprise in Sweden (Vodafone as carrier)
I wont give up yet but if anyone else succeds please write a few lines!
Best regards!
ok after a conversation with a rather upto date call center bod he has told me to call customer services and (get this he called me back lol ) they need to activate blackberry on my account and then try again apparently he said most off the setup is to be done on the handset so he will keep an eye on my account and then call me again (i feel honoured )when i have it activated to tell me the set up.what a nice man

Let us know when he gets back to you.
Have you got the logon to the site yet?
Did you have to ask for APN 57 (blackberry.net) from CS?
ok my quest continues ......
after speaking to cs this morning they put me onto data support who again are very knoledgable think there has been some training going on at 02 ,anyways he checks my account again and the usuall 'O' let me see if i can do it from here still no joy,he calls cs and does mention apn bydandie
he then transfers me to cs to give security details for the gzillianth time lol to activate it and says it should be activated within the next 24 hrs ...... so we shall see i will give an update asap
my surgestion is to mention the apn switch on for blackberry when calling cs to avoid the data support call .
Im getting the same issue about IMEI already being defined, and requested to log in with existing userid (which I havent set up).
Id also like to use my exisiting work VODAFONE SIM, which is GPRS enabled to our corporate BES (but Blackberry service removed) - will this work? (XDA is unlocked).
Finally anyone know if there's a true Vodafone/QTEK 2020 ROM upgrade - we've got these as work as well.
Blackberry Working!!!
Ignore my last posts - Ive now successfully got the XDA working on our corporate BES.
Was really a case of just following the instructions in the docs above, ensuring Blackberry enabled account (couresty Voda) being used.
No sweat.
Probably still some things to sort out for web based service though.

Hi. Great news!!! What is the actual cab file putting the BB functionality on the device? I would like to avoid installing the whole new ROM if at all possible. Has anyone tried installing just the BB? Thanks
Today I had time to test the BlackBerry client (look at my post above) HTC_PocketPC_1.2.4.19_O2_England.cab on a Qtek 2020.
And I got it working without any trouble
However, installed it on a 1.66 device and after a while the Bb client disconnected from gprs and I had to connect it again.
I connected it against a Blackberry enterprise server and, could successfully send & recieve mails and make address lookup to the GAL.
It also recieved the IT policy but I dont know what policy settings it applied
When I tried the same package on my Qtek 9090 it was very sluggish and never connected, so the client abviously works very close with the radio stack!? If anyone has better results than me please let me know
Best regards
Thanks for the guidance. Got the cab. Now, here's the golden question. What does BB enabled account mean? If I have GRPS connectivity is that not enough? I am guessing in order to control pricing packages there may be certain ports used by BB that the carrier blocks and then when you pay the fees for BB enabled account they simply enable them. Is this the case? Thanks for your clarification.

Does this cab file install other applications other than the BB client? Coz I dont want to install any other app except the BB client on my XDAII since its an Asian ROM 1.66.
I worked my way through the guide doc for Exchange all the way up to :
6. Tap the Synchronization tab.
7. Select the Enable Wireless Synchronization check box.
This checkbox is grayed out on my device. Were you able to select this checkbox? Thanks

Java & Tilt: Google Apps For Domain and GMail Not Working

Both of these apps worked on the previous version of the software for me, but now neither is for different reasons.
"Mail By Google" returns the error:
"Your phone doesn't support end-to-end secure connections (reason: Cause unknown). In order to protect your data, Mail By Google for mobile cannot be used at this time.
"GMail" returns this error:
This program required a data connection. Please contact your carrier, or visit the GMail for mobile FAQ on your ocmputer for more info.
The proxy has been disabled, both by running the CAB and by running KaiserTweak, and other browsers work fine, both Pocket IE and others that I have installed to play around with.
The phone is an AT&T Tilt, and it has the official ROM released a few days ago.
P.S. - I am willing to try one of the cooked ROM's if it'll work with AT&T's network right out of the box.
I'm having the same problems, please if anyone has suggestions please let me know. I'll even revert back to the original ROM if I could find it anywhere.
Same issue here as well using a cooked ROM. I've seen T-mobile related posts on blogs saying this is an issue with the GPRS settings but I've reset mine back to default to make sure and still having the same issue.
I am having the same problem since updating to the latest AT&T firmware. It worked fine with the shipped ROM (just got the device yesterday), but doesn't work with the new one.
You might need to unlock CAPTCHA on that email account, here's a good write up: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/...dentials-or-web-login-requires-failure-error/
NOTE: For Google Apps user, visit https://www.google.com/a/yourdomain.com/UnlockCaptcha instead, with yourdomain.com as the valid domain name.

[Q] Help needed please - wits end is where we are...!

Hi,
I am being asked by a family member for some help. I should know what to do but at my age memory has let me down a little so I wonder if anyone can give sensible advice?
They have a Tattoo and are trying to use the Market. When they run through (over WiFi or GPRS) the setup wizard it fails them. Always at the same point. When they enter their Gmail account id and password the wizard goes off to verify this. They have a Data enabled SIM and can watch YouTube, surf the web, send and receive pop3 mails. From the web browser they can log into their gmail account no problem.
So back to the Market setup wizard, we choose sign up and enter the correct logon details. It states that it is contacting the Google servers to setup the account. Then the logon fails and reports back that there is a network error. The exact message is:
Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server
This could be a temporary problem or your SIM card may not be provisioned for data services. If it continues, call Customer Care.
I have a painful memory that I had the same problem in the past. I cannot remember exactly what I did to fix it now (-(
I have created the gmail account separately and have entered the credentials but still cannot connect...
Can anyone solve this issue please?
All the best,
Sam
Have you tried to restart phone?
I once had a problem just as i bought it. I called HTC who told me to make a factory reset. It solved the problem.

"Can't set up your account" HD2 - WP7

Hello there. I have the 25 digit code, and have successfully activated my windows live account on my HD2. But when entering Marketplace, i get this message:
"Either Xbox LIVE or Marketplace for Windows Phone isn't offered yet in your country/region. Please check back later."
What can I do? WP7 is kind of boring without Marketplace access.
NB: I've tried to change my country settings under my windows live ID to USA, from Denmark. But still, same error message.

you have a make a new windows live ID from a country where it is supported. Change your locale to that country in your phone. Log in with your new information (you might have to hard reset), and BAM! it works.
I got the same problem.
I'm from Brazil and have a XBox Live Gold account (from that country).
I make the activation with that account and even the marketplace or xbox live games hub not work.
It's a shame that Microsoft don't make the MarketPlace available WorldWide when not exist in a specific region.
Anyone could make that work with a secondary account (just adding it)? Or have to hard reset?
Damn... i really want to use it with that xbox live account.
Microsoft just answer my question with this event: http://windowsteamblog.com/windows_...er-news-beta-mango-tools-available-today.aspx

Microsoft OWA "Outlook Web App" not working on Nexus 6P

My work organization has recently migrated to Outlook 365 and as a result I can now use the Microsoft Web App to connect to my mail/calendar/...ect
Problem is when I try to configure the application it always stops at the Encryption phase and for some strange reason it is unable to detect that my phone is already encrypted or even take me to the encryption setting in the phone, it just stops there and when I press the continue button nothing happens.
Anyone know how to get around this?
Here's a link to the app in the playstore: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.exchange.mowa
I'm going to assume you're not rooted or running any kind of modified framework. I had issue with an organisation running an older version of 365 (they were still testing). It came down to the security certs. I'd get your organisation to confirm their settings and set up your phone while on their network.
I use the Microsoft Outlook App to connect to my companies Office 365 email address. I didn't have any issues getting it setup.

That's exactly what I did too, I used the normal outlook application and it works just fine, but you have to wonder what extra functionality there is on the OWA application which is dedicated for office 365 only.
