ok what one do i use coz im confused :S
It sounds like this....
Type 2c: When the phone boots, it doesn't pass the windows mobile logo
What SPL do you have. If it hasn't been Hard SPLed (SPL : 2.10 olipro) before you started flashing you have a BIG problem and a LOT of hair pulling frustration ahead....
When its in bootloader it says HERM100 IRP-1.00 and HERM100 SPL-1.09
no one know how i can get it to work again?
Does it say 1.09 Des?
If so this is soft spl (SSPL). You should be able to put the .nbh file of the os you want to flash on an sd card formatted fat32. Rename it to "hermimg.nbh" and put it in the Hermes. Reset to bootloader - hold power, ok button above flywheel and reset with stylus. If it is SSPL then it should recognise the flash files on the sd card and ask you to hit the power button to continue. Once you get the os working READ ABOUT AND INSTALL HARD SPL - information and apps needed found here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=296722
Cheers...
erm can u give me more details how to do this please?
Before doing this try a hard reset - Both softkeys held down and reset with stylus. Hold all buttons in until it asks if you want to reset the os back to factory. Push r on the slide out keyboard then press space. If that doesn't work.....
SD card method...
1. Format sd card fat32. copy the .nbh file of the rom you want onto it. Rename it to Hermimg.nbh.
2. Isert sd card back into hermes. Reset into bootloader - hold power button, OK button above flywheel and reset with stylus. Hold in until tri-colour (bootloader) screen appears.
3. If its ACTUALLY registering sspl then it SHOULD register the flash file. Follow the prompts...
This will ONLY work if you have Hard SPL installed or doing it more dangerously with Soft SPL (sspl - 1.09 des).
Cheers...
ok im confused about the last step u said how am i spose to get the file on the card if ive not got a card reader ? and is there a step by step online i can have? so i know how its done?
Get a card reader, you can pick them up CHEAP.... Also make sure the sd cad is less than 2Gb.
All instructions above Are from on online, I just put them in step form...

not hard booting

hello
my phone is not hard booting or unable to flash from SD Card.
ROM Ver: 3.62.305.5
ROM date:11/06/07
Radio Version: 1.54.30.10
Protcol Ver: 32.87.7020.20H
ExtROm Ver: 3.62.305.116
or how do i get to to my EXTROM to try flash from there
I believe you mean hard reset.... Are you holding down the right keys or are you going to bootloader...
Hard reset - Hold both soft keys and reset with stylus. Hold in until it asks to reset back to factory. press "R" on slideout keyboard then space.
To use the sd card method of flashing you must first have hard SPL V7 installed on your Hermes so it says
IPL: 1.04
SPL: 2.10 oli
If you have any other spl lower than 2.10 it won't be able to use sd card method.
SD card method
1. format SDcard (2Gb or less ONLY) fat32. copy .nbh file on sd card and rename to "hermimg.nbh".
2. Put SD card back in Hermes and reset to bootloader.
3. If you hve formatted and named correctly, follow the prompts...
Cheers...
Hard reset
In case you have a preproduction HERMES and you can not update the ROM (due to the fact that your bootloader is <1.04) here the very easy solution:
- format a SD card with FAT32
- extract the .NBH file from the rom image you like
- rename the .NBH to HERMIMG.NBH and copy it to your SD card
- put SD card in phone and start it in bootloader (hold OK button on left side and POWER button at same time and stick with stylus in RESET on bottom)
- confirm flashing on screen
- flashing might hang after some time but this is normal. Just wait. Complete flash takes about 30 minutes.
This also works for normal (non preproduction) devices but keep in mind that if the CID does not match the flashing might not work.
Gully
You NEED Hard SPL to do this. You can't flash the rom using the sd card without having 1st flashed Hard SPL UNLESS you run SSPL.exe in windows. If you can't get to windows you may have a BIG problem...

Boot Screen Help.. Setting it back [ SG ]

Friends,
After flashing my HSPL and my ROMS so many times, I have suddenly gone blank.
If I need to flash my phone back to it's original state, and if I do not have my original ROM, what do I do?
Currently it's booting up with a picture of an Android and a Bird ( I forgot what I flashed to get that! )
I purchased this phone in Singapore.
Any assistance will be much appreciated!

To Remove HardSPL from your Device or Flash back a Stock Rom and Stock SPL for Warranty Purposes
You can remove the HSPL by flashing an original SPL from microSD card OR by running the HSPL3 application (You need select 2.08.0000 in the choose screen).
* You can also use the microSD Card method to flash back your Stock Rom and Stock SPL that you originally had on your phone*
- Download a shipped Rom from *HERE*
- Rename the extension to .zip
- open it with winzip and extract the RUU_signed.nbh file to a folder
- Rename it to LEOIMG.nbh and copy it to the root of a microSD card thats been formatted to FAT32
- Insert your storage card into your phone
- Enter Bootloader and follow onscreen instructions to flash
Thanks for the insight. Really forgot even what the process was called and couldn't do a read up I normally would. Appreciate your help Polo!

Hi,
You dont need to backup any files. Only way to revert back to original SPL is flash stock rom from your sdcard. By stock rom I mean rom that came preinstalled on your device. Search and read please, everything is on the forum. Try here:

I hope that helps.
