Boot Screen Help.. Setting it back [ SG ] - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

Friends,
After flashing my HSPL and my ROMS so many times, I have suddenly gone blank.
If I need to flash my phone back to it's original state, and if I do not have my original ROM, what do I do?
Currently it's booting up with a picture of an Android and a Bird ( I forgot what I flashed to get that! )
I purchased this phone in Singapore.
Any assistance will be much appreciated!
Ben

To Remove HardSPL from your Device or Flash back a Stock Rom and Stock SPL for Warranty Purposes
You can remove the HSPL by flashing an original SPL from microSD card OR by running the HSPL3 application (You need select 2.08.0000 in the choose screen).
* You can also use the microSD Card method to flash back your Stock Rom and Stock SPL that you originally had on your phone*
- Download a shipped Rom from *HERE*
- Rename the extension to .zip
- open it with winzip and extract the RUU_signed.nbh file to a folder
- Rename it to LEOIMG.nbh and copy it to the root of a microSD card thats been formatted to FAT32
- Insert your storage card into your phone
- Enter Bootloader and follow onscreen instructions to flash

Thanks for the insight. Really forgot even what the process was called and couldn't do a read up I normally would. Appreciate your help Polo!

Question - Uninstall hardspl

I have an HD2 and it had a custom rom and hardspl.
something is wrong with it so i need to send it back to the store.
i just flashed back to a shipped (dutch) rom i found in on xda.
but i think i'm doing something wrong with the hardspl.
i unpacked the shipped rom,
took out the RUU_signed.nbh and renamed it to leoimg.nbh.
Placed it on the SD card (root)
hold volume down and boot the phone.
i go into the red green blue screen.
then it says loading for 2 seconds.
and then i go back to the red green blue screen and nothing happends..
what i see is:
pb81100 hx-bc
spl-2.08.hspl 8g xe
cotullahspl
i assume this isnt the original spl?
what am i doing wrong?
anyone???????????
Have you tried installed HSPL3 and selecting the SPL (non HSPL) version that was the same as the shipped one.
First you need to format the SD card to fat32? It is done? ... read and follow all instrutions. There's same ambiguous information in this forum, not your fault.
- Download a shipped Rom from *HERE*
- Rename the extension to .zip
- open it with winzip and extract the RUU_signed.nbh file to a folder

Some how i finally managed to do it.
i used the combination of both your sugestions.
formatted the sd card and placed the file on it..
then i synced it with my pc and opened the hspl3.exe thing...
and then it went for it!
thank you both for your help!

[Q] Backup SPL file before flashing HARDSPL

I am ready to FLASH HARDSPL on my hd2 but want to backup files in the event I have to flash an original SPL on my phone for warranty issues. DFT states:
"make sure that you uninstall HSPL before sending phone for any warranty issues and they also write in their directions:
“The only way to remove the HSPL is to flash an original SPL from SD card.
- Take any "RUU_signed.nbh" from a ship ROM and copy it to SD card.
- Rename it to "leoimg.nbh".
Can someone please help me back up the needed files? I don’t totally understand the instructions and any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
You dont need to backup any files. Only way to revert back to original SPL is flash stock rom from your sdcard. By stock rom I mean rom that came preinstalled on your device. Search and read please, everything is on the forum. Try here:

I hope that helps.

[Q] Hard reset?

I'm looking to put android on my HD2 but I got a simple question.
If I install a NAND Android on my phone and I don't like it or encounter some problems can I get windows back with a hard reset or does that option get lost when I put Android on?
I got the tip to "You simply put the stock rom you want on your SD card, rename it to leoimg.nbh and then go into bootloader by holding Volume down while powering on."
I have tried to find info about this, can anyone point me in the direction where there is a guide/tutorial on how to do this it it would be very appreciated.
Thanks for your help!
No, a hard reset won't do the trick, you will need to reflash a winmo rom to get it back, as installing a NAND rom (even magldr) removes winmo.
You can find info here
Flashing Via MicroSD Card
NOTE (PLEASE READ): If you flash a Stock Rom via microSD Card then it will overwrite your HardSPL with a stock SPL included in the nbh file. This does not apply to custom roms as they do not include an SPL. BE CAREFUL!!
1. Make sure your microSD is Formatted to fat32 (you dont have to delete all files but it is safer if you do)
2. Download your prefered Rom from the LEO Rom Develpoment Page and unzip/unrar it to your PC
3. Goto the Roms Folder and rename the ********.nbh file to LEOIMG.nbh
4. Copy the LEOIMG.nbh file to the root of your MicroSD Card
5. Plug the MicroSD Card into the phone
6. Reset the device while pressing the volume down button to enter the BootLoader screen, you will first see a tri-color screen with the phone and SPL Information at the top
7. Follow the On Screen instructions to start the update
8. After flash has completed, press the reset button with the stylus to reset the device.

[Q] Flashed back to windows mobile but auto reboot at htc boot screen.

So i formatted my sd card to NTFS and put LEOIMG.nbh into my sd card.
Now i booted my hd2 in boot loader screen and started the update. It complete sucessfully.
But after this,it reboots and when htc logo comes up with the white background,it auto reboots again.
Why is this and how can i fix this ?
Also if someone can give me the download link for the stock rom for HD2.
Can you still get in to bootloader? If so, I'd try it again. And here's the link...

Although you're probably better downloading direct from HTC with your IMEI number - that way you'll get the right one (in theory)...here's the UK link - not sure where you are in the world...>
http://www.htc.com/uk/supportdownloadlist.aspx?p_id=297&act=sd&cat=all
by the sdcard method you ned the correct rom for your hd2.
if you will flash another /custom rom, you need to reinstall hspl 2.08
and then flash your rom by the daf / ruu fläsher from windows and not by sdcard.

Is your SD card formatted to NTFS or FAT32?
And after the flash completed, did you press the red reset button under the battery cover?

Only tmous users should select 2.08.0000. 2.x spl is not a stock spl for regular hd2's. there are no reg stock roms that use spl 2.x.
edit - oops, double post
