Has anyone conducted tests or compared PRI versions to see if they do really effect data speeds? Also does the new unrevoked method keep the PRI at the newer version or downgrade it to the older version that all rooted phones have from the eng release?

Ok just got prompted for this. I'm rooted, is it safe to update and reroot? Anyone know what changed? Thanks

Just flash a ROM that's based off the current ota. Or if you want to go the stock route there is a rooted pc36img.zip floating around development that will upgrade your radios, hboot, kernel and ROM.

Oh boy!...
Just flash one of the custom ROMs that already have this update implemented. There is no need to unroot and regain root privileges.
I don't want a custom Rom. If I can upgrade and reroot that is what ill do. Just asking is it safe.

That's correct. It's the easiest way to update everything to the latest ota without losing root.

Do you have a link. I actually tried to go through with the update via OTA and it failed during install.
Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
If failed because you still have a custom recovery on your phone. You can only install an actual OTA if you have a stock recovery. Sorry, no link. On the xda app right now. If you still need it when I get home later I'll post it for you.

Yes please thanks. Unsure of the fixes in this update.

I rooted with Unrevoked and running the stock rom is ok to run ota update?
Why do you guys want to apply an ota after going through root? There are completely stock roms from the latest update so it'll be just like an ota except keeping root. Steelh rom I believe is one of them

No, it will not work for the same reasons that I described earlier.
Here is the link to the thread that has the rooted stock pc36img.zip. Download the file, rename it to pc36img, put it on the root of your sd card, boot into hboot and run the update once it's done loading. More detailed instructions are in the first post of that thread. You will lose all your data so make sure to back it up with Titanium or MyBackup so you can load everything back on after the update.

Doing it the way I described will ensure they are fully up to date, including radios, pri and hboot. Simply flashing a ROM won't update those. I think doing it this way will be easier for the inexperienced, with much less potential for screwing something up.
I dont know if I really wanna flash my radio though, I heard flashing a radio can really jack up your 4G.
Ok so heres the details i have ATT phone with a unlocked bootloader on the latest Cherryblurr i cannot flash any radios i can flash roms and kernal just fine btw so i have tried flashing these ways
-CWM install ABORTS
-Fastboot installed successfully but in info it does not show the 91 radio only .30p radio
SBF-Flashes successfully phone reboots but still on the .30p radio
Can anyone assist me on this problem or is anyone else having the same issue??
.30p is the latest radio. The version numbers don't match the software build number

thanks i beginning to freak out
Hi, my dinc is flashed to boost mobile, it isn't rooted, and I'm planning to soon, but for now I want to try the ota since I don't have to be rooted to try it, if I download the ota leak link, will it ruin the boost mobile flash? I'm not sure what would cause it to ruin, changes to the radio? or etc, thanks

Why we need superCID on HTC device? what is the advantages of it?
It's stops OTA updates form getting installed on your phone. And I think its simunlock to
Sent from my HTC Desire HD using xda premium
It doesn't necessarily stop otas from installing. It depends on the ota itself some check the did and some don't. I believe on our device it doesn't check.
Supercid is used to allow a user to flash any ruu for its device. So say I have a branded vodafone dhd with super cid I could flash the unbranded wwe ruu or say maybe I need Arabic support so I flash an ruu that has that
I haven't been able to apply any OTA with supercid.
Sent from my HTC Desire HD using xda premium
You were full blown stock correct? No root. Just as if you have flashed an ruu and updated it on its own. Because I remember back in the firmware 1.32 days and even 2.x people were able to ota up.
Nop I was rooted stock with S-OFF and supercid.
Sent from my HTC Desire HD using xda premium
That's why you had issues. You were rooted. Otas don't work if rooted on our device.
Stop trying to OTA. XDA will always have the ROM up faster than most 99% of the time. Besides, it's easy to wait for people on XDA to get a safe package together. Especially with phones like the AT&T One XL.
So if I change cid to 1111111. Means I have sim unlock?
Even unrooted stock with S-OFF and supercid couldn't apply OTA. And now this was a long time ago.

Thank for ur reply
Anyone have the file? I need it bad
Flashed 2.1 and have major problems now.

I think t mobile has 2.2.1 only and that too you get a OTA update via wifi once you sign in your blur account
