Does this actually do anything? do you have any pics to upload?
I did the reg edit tsalate listed above, and I don't see any new options in the camera menus, and it doesn't seem to focus any different in regular mode...so I'm not sure if there's something else needed for it to work or take effect...?
i dont have any pics to upload at the moment im out of town. but after i did this i get better images when im taking pics really close up.

Cool..I didn't do any hard testing, I'll try some A-B comparisons and post what I find.
Thanks again for the find though tsalate, we do appreciate you sharing it!
i just did the same registry edit did'nt notice a difference although it did seem easier to focus up close, idk it that could've just been me though :/ would appreciate your side by side comparisons when you get a chance sirphunkee and i'll to do the same whats the best settings for shooting in macro?
I will deffinately give it a shot )))
You know what is weird.... I tried shooting some video really up close - it focused fine from an inch away. I shot it, stored it and once I tried the same routine it didn't focus that close anymore. Restarted the Camcorder and everything was fine, but after the first try it always messed up the focus thing? Anyone had the same issue.....?

Ok, if I were to try and duplicate/develope the iPhone's (sorry I hate saying that) web browsing/picture zoom feature and add that to a cooked rom for my Wing, where would I start? Or is there one already out and I missed it? I would want to run it on a Touch rom if that helps at all.
As far as I know, that's not available yet...
but check out the new TouchFlo that's coming out
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3LRbkHOllLA&eurl=http://msmobiles.com/news.php/6755.html
Whens this coming out?!? looks like exactly what i want!
No idea. Hopefully soon... so then someone here has to buy the phone, then extract the files ... so someone can put it into the roms... so I would say, it may be a while.
you know that in the pictureviewer, there is an option to zoom/crop and whatever? It may not be shiny, but it works.

Ya, I already knew that. I just want to be able to touch pictures and zoom/scroll through them, and not have to go to a menu to do it...
when the app is out, ill include in my roms
I've never used pocketCM's ImageViewer so I don't know if it's what you're looking for or even how well it works, but... http://pocketcm.com/imageviewer.php

Thank You!!! Thats very close to what I'm looking for, but is there a way to set this as my default picture viewer? And is there a way to rotate it manually?
Here's the flash menu ported from Samsung i718, Its very cool & working nice on my touch.
tHANKS!! I've got a couple of friends with i718's and always thought the menu was slick. Great job and thanks again!
very nice, well done working great on my hermes
So we must have flash player installed on our device prior using this application?
nope no flash player. it seems to be an actual app
Is that how you spell "Organiser"?
Also, is there a way to edit the programs targets in the registry or something?

i dono yet. found this over at Ipmart yesterday though. I tossed it on my touch and my brothers mogul and its sweet. Even my mom was able to navigate WM6 once we showed her this. I'm sure someone will find out how to edit it real soon. Possible skins anyone???
Nice find!
i find that the i718 or something like that, looks really a lot like the shadow,
maybe tmobile copied it
o, and by the way, nice find, but the launcher doesnt look like like the ones ive seen one the phone
I've read a few sites on this phone now and the opinion varies a bit. One place I found that was good for expert reviews and real life opinion on the Samsung SGH I718 even had a few photos and the like which i found helpful. Hope that helps others that landed here doing their own research:->
This is HEX-edit job not a regeistry job.
windows\launcher.exe can be HEX editet for customizing.

Yeah.. I'd really like to add my own menus to this.

Thanks Radical. But I have tried this, it doesn't give the option that we get in this viewer.. It's Photo contacts is very good and it's like Diamond one, but not the photo viewer. I am really looking for the one in the video.. It's really awesome, you can use the finger scrolling from the main screen to swipe thru the photos.
It is most likely that your device won't support it anyway... TouchFlo 3D is very graphics intensive...

Thanks guys for all your help in providing me with so many options.. I tired all the links you have suggested and most of the applications posted in XDA.. Thanks to all the developers and contributors for the lovely softwares.. Almost all the softwares worked in my phone & I love them.. But still none of the Picture viewer softwares gave me the function that I have seen in the video.. I will keep trying it.. I am pretty sure that someone will come up with this.. I will wait... again I appreciate your help

Actually i did a test like that for pictures first, but it isnt very usable.
I think that feature in Daimond is just to show, not really to use regularly. I prefer the Camera album to view pictures because you can see all the photos in a list and then choose from one.
It can easily be done in flash but the finger motion effects have a problem with the current 'players', if you press the screen and dont release it for a second only, it pops up the "about flash" window.
Still, if you use simple buttons instead of finger motions, like I did for my flash contact list, all you need is a ouside program to list all the images in \storage card\my documents\my pictures (or whererver) to a xml or txt file, then the flash would read all the picture names as variables and present them in that kind of slideshow (or even better animations, like 3d cubes turning or fade-ins) . Do remenber that the 'photo turn 3d effect' would slow things down.
So, depending on the speed of the pocket pc model it would be slow, it isnt very slow on my dual because it has 400 mhz, but there are a lot of models out there with 200mhz...
Also, for some reason, the flash lite engine works faster but has more bugs reading images than the flash 7 engine. :/
And then it comes back to the today plugin, the only good current one is from the Throttle author but it only has one hardcoded size, he is doing a better one, and THAT one I cant wait for... it sounds as good as melted cheese!
That's exactly what I am looking at.

IT's wonderful work twolf, and that is exactly what I am looking at... Will it be possible to post a cab file of the one in the video.. So that I can test and use it on my phone.. I have seen your website and is pretty impressive.. Will it be possible to share the work that you have done here.. So that all of us can enjoy it..
Thats not dependant of me, just of the trotthle author, sorry, like I said I gave that to him.
But after he releases his new plugin, I'll be sure to make a lot of flash goodies for everyone, always releasing the sourcode, because, as I said, I'm a iilustrator, not a programmer, and Im sure others can do so much more.
thanks Twolf

Thanks Twolf.. I tried this before and I am trying the Tempus V13 now..It works perfect, but the till still skips by 1 sec every 2 secs and becomes very slow during skip.. And also takes lots of memory around 3-4 MB on my HTC Touch... Which is a lot for my phone.. . is there is a work going to reduce this... I can't wait !!! for Throttle author to release new version.. ..Tempting
Actually the skipping is good, it does skip sometimes but thats my way of making sure the time is always correct. Otherwise the minutes could change before the seconds reached 59.
The slowness is really because of the 200mhz of the touch, sorry...
As for memory, thats flash...
Maybe in the next version of throttle since the weather and clock are separated and in flash lite, they may become faster, time and tests will tell.
Thank you Twolf
Thanks Twolf.. This is a great application and I am currently trying Throttle launcher works great on my Touch.. Thanks for all you guys work.. Fantastic... Hope to see more from you.. thank you..
Hi, don't know if anybody has posted something like this already, but i was wondering if a developer has already developed a tweak to allow moving around the picture when zoomed in similar to when you're viewing a webpage. Everytime i try to do that, i move to the next picture ~_~ i know it's such a small thing but it's bugging me a lot. thank you
just press and hold on the screen for a while, then you will be able to pan.

Yo,
Anyone got a cab that edits the 'People Favorites' tab to be 4x5 or maybe even 5x5 rather than the standard 3x5?
Sorry if this is on the forum somewhere already... I have been searching through the forum and google for something to do this for the last 2 days but can't find anything on either. This is me giving up my search and hoping for one of you good people to help me out here :-D
Cheers

The image resolution has been already discussed... and solved. Try to search this forum. Basically, you need to put the images on your Leo (SD card, if you wish), because the import from Outlook is low res.
I am looking for that tweak too
About photo quality...I have photos on sd card and the quality after seelcting the photo for contact is the same
I have my pictures through Facebook and can't complain about res. Does no one know of a tweak for this? If not, anyone fancy making one? i would but really don't have the know how of where to even start let alone do it...
I think that it doesnt matter how you add photo to the contact, because on the computer the contact photos are in good quality, it is just how the phone shows them in people tab and when someone calls you...
I guess it is something about photo resizing and all these stuff which are involved in raster photos, sampling, resizing....I guess that phone doesnt know to do it better...
