I wanted to put this idea of a model release form application up in hope some developer will see the need for this app for the android. They have several of them for the iphone and very useful. There are quite a few photographers out there with androids that would buy an app like this. I have even thought of getting a iphone just for the application.
The best one out there for the iphone is called easy release and I have used it on a friends iphone and it does make getting a model to sign the contract really easy and especially good to have on the fly if you you need to snap a picture and you want to get a release and not have your forms on you.
Sean
I concur. As a photographer and Android user I could really use an application that would allow me to have a model sign a release form electronicaly on my htc hero.
It would be cool if one could link a flickr photograph to this form.
I'm attaching a sample form.
Looks likes easy release that makes the app for the iphone has already developed one for the android and its in beta test right now. I am testing the application right now and its a great app. The signature parts is very smooth and you can get real look signatures. Very impressed.
Just go to their facebook page (easy release) and they are looking for more beta testers

The Android version of Easy Release is now available in the Android Market
The Android version of Easy Release is now available in the Android Market
The new and updated version of Model Release Pal for Android was just released today.
And it's free
"Release Lackey" is now in beta...
I recently released an app on the market for creating model releases as well as other relatively simple legal documents... while it is in "beta" it sells for only 99 cents. The beta period is expected to last for another 4 weeks (until June 13, 2011) or until I'm confident there aren't any strange issues with any of the many Android devices out there.
Search for "Release Lackey" on the Android Market or go to LackeySoft.com with your PC and click on Release Lackey to learn more...
At least while it is in beta I promise refunds for anyone who purchases it and decides it is not for them within 48 hours. Just "email the developer" and I'll give a manual refund through Google Checkout.
I'm always looking for feedback, thanks in advance
Alright, so most of you reading this post right now either have an Optimus 7 or plan to get one (perhaps). With the exception of the early hard button problems I had with this phone (which was mostly fixed after two exchanges), I like everything else about it. The softwares that LG released preloaded on the phone, as well as the ones on the LG Store are genuinely useful.
However, since the early rumours and in most reviews, a Voice-to-Text feature was promised for November. Now, I know Bing search has that little voice button beside it (that I have not noticed in other WinPhones), and we have other augmented reality apps, but where is this rumoured Dictation feature that was spoken about? I want to send a text message using nothing but my mouth (that sounds wrong).
I have owned a Nexus One for the past eight months, and now that phone has been given to my brother. I really don't miss much, except for multitasking and some widgets, but the Voice-to-Text feature is annoying. WP7 has Voice Commands, some of which are only limited to US and UK (WTF Microsoft? Canada gets the backend all the time? Same with Zune...), but LG promised me Voice-to-Text, and I want it
I might be missing something or misunderstood what this feature meant, and if someone knows where to get this, or how it will work, then by all means, please let me know.

EDIT: It is listen under features and specifications in both the Canadian and the UK page of LG Optimus 7 in the LG website.
Here is where this feature is promised on the UK site of LG:
http://yfrog.com/jpmdz0j
It honestly looks quite intriguing.
And here is the VIDEO from the Canadian LG Site:

Just contacted Canada LG Support Line, and honestly, their customer service is worse than any other manufacturer I have ever called. Completely clueless representatives.
UPDATE: Now it is available both on Bell and Telus offerings of LG WP7 phones.
apparently it's available in the lg app store in some other regions ... some guy on some other forum mentioned in passing that he had it ... iirc he was italian
At least there's hope it'll show up for us canucks eventually
It's available in the lg app store now. I haven't tried it yet :|
Yes, it is finally available. Apparently, the initial release was on Nov 31th, and it was VERY buggy. But the new version available in Canada is Ver 1.1.0.0. and it is very stable. Not one crash or lag. The interface looks like...well it looks exactly the same as native apps in WP7.
I am extremely surprised at the performance. It registered anything I threw at it, although sometimes it took a while, but it even transcribed my ramblings. Also, it does French quite well, even though I have a pretty bad accent. I am amazed.
Respect LG. You are good.
PS: I wish this was integrated into every place you use the keyboard. Kind of like Android...Also, did you know only on LG phones the Bing search has that microphone symbol beside it? I didn't...until I looked at a Focus...
I am thinking of getting one since it just went on sell at dell for $299. I would like not to mess with it and keep it at stock so wondering?
1. Gps with this phone? Works? Compared to google maps?
2. Can you allow pop ups with the browser?
3. Camera is ok?
Thanks for any help
everythiing you are asking pertains to WP7 in general with the exception of the camera; It sucks BIG TIME.
this is where megapixel count is stupid. the 5MP on DVP is just as bad as my motorolla V3.
Thanks for the info on the camera...i was looking everywhere and cant find info on if i can have pop ups for my work web site. Anyone know? Any info on gps nav would be great
I don't think popups are disallowed. This, however, is not the same as being allowed. Confusingl, huh?
As far as GPS, there are several turn-by-turn apps in the marketplace ranging from free to $6. Plus, in Mango there will be onboard navigation as part of the OS. We'll see if it remains tap-by-tap or if it goes to a turn-byturn system.
Otherwise, great phone especially with the newer firmware.
That is confusing for the pop ups lol......i really need them for work so hopefully i can get it to work. Is mango an update? When will it come out?
Thanks for your help
Yes. Mango is an update due out in September/October. A tweet hit yesterday which may have leaked a September release. But, we'll see. Meanwhile, here's a massive review of Mango for you to pour over.
http://pocketnow.com/windows-phone/the-ultimate-windows-phone-7-mango-preview
It might be sooner..

If that is true (i have my doubts) i'd find it hard to believe that japan would get mango before the US.
At last Sky TV is launching it's service on Android next month and here is a link:
http://hexus.net/business/news/internet/34577-sky-launch-internet-tv-service-brings-sky-go-android/
Does anyone think it will work on the Note even thought it is not listed as supported?
yeah that is good news and it's about time!
I noticed that sky atlantic is on the ios app now, and hopefully the android version will launch with all the channels mentioned in that article.
I'm sure someone will modify the apk to work with our notes once launched.

You can purchase the Yotaphone 3 from this German site:
www . cect-shop . com
XDA wont allow me to directly post the link.
Over at eBookReader.com, "Nathan" says that yota3 is available at aliexpress.
And for good measure, here is what I notice at cect-shop.
With good luck, xda preserved those links.
