Problem with Mobile Excel on HD mini. - HD Mini General

The Show/Hide Headers and Scroll Bars of Mobile Excel in HD mini is permanently greyed and non-functional. I can't make the headers and scroll bars disappear like i always do since WinMo 2003.
I'd typically work on spreadsheets on my phone with thousands of rows of data. Most of the time, i'll be working on and adding more info to the last rows. So the headers takes up a big chunk of column space unnecessarily.
How do i make HD mini allow this setting to be available in Mobile Excel?
Upgrading to Excel 2010 doesn't help either. The Show/Hide menu still greyed.
Anybody know any cab installer or registry tweaking to solve this problem?
I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

Add Application Shortcut to Today screen

Hello:
Anyone know hoe to put application shortcuts straight onto the today screeen??
I already have claunch for myself, buy am setting up a simple system for mum on an older unit. I was hopinh to get a shortcut to the simpler apps like contacts straight on the today screen.
I know if you install tomtom you get an option in the today list to show tomtom on the list - This is similar to what I want (but not tomtom)
any ideas?
I use Pocket Plus from SPB. It's a great little app that also includes repeating alerts and an option to make the 'close' button really quit the app and not just hide it in background. All highly configureable. Check out Handango for a trial and purchase.
I use cLaunch. It works great and is VERY configurable! AND it's freeware!
I use the following group-settings to get four full sized icon on each "page":
Icon size =32
Icon name enabled
Icon width = 48
Icon name at bottom
Icon name height = 14
Icon margins = 1 hor. and vert.
Window margin = 0
I have enabled "Tap empty space to advance to next group" so that I can page through the icon groups easily.
(edit: didn't catch that you already tried this app! Anyway try my settings. I can't imagine a simpler way to launch from the today-screen. BTW I have turned of the menu bar also because I just use a few icon (four in each group) just like you seem to want too.)
Another option is PHM Pocket Power Tools (or is it Toys?). It has a TrayLaunch application, which allows shortcuts to be placed in it and it displays at the bottom of the Today screen - where the NEW menu item is located. It's freeware as well.
yep: your setting worked great, thanks for the help - I never though of configuring cLaunch like that.

[IDEA] Is it possible to add this to TF3D?

I have a lots of programs installed. However when I go into All programs menu in TF3D it is somewhat annoying to flick through all of them.
Is it possible to add that Alphabet strip that you can find in contacts or in Weather-Countries menu. It would ease things extremely. They added it in Weather-Countries after software update, so I guess it is possible.
Dr Twin
Very nice idea...
Excellent idea - although I still resort to the old wm start->programs if I don't have an app on my quick list

Well, I do too. But I would like TF3D to be able to display all programs that are as quickly accessible as possible. It seems that Alphabet strip (or ribbon - I do not know the proper term) is elegant solution.
Hard to imagine why it isn't there by default.
Not only that, I can consistenly crash my diamond if i scroll the TF3D "all programs" list too fast 3 times in a row... (using the official 1.93 firmware)
I believe that it is all about layout and that it can be edited and added to All programs menu
good idea would be a search field where you can type in like in e.g. ubuntu
where -while typing- the fitting startmenu entries are suggested...
if nothing is typed in: whole startmenu (all programms) should be shown

Nasty problem on my HD

I'm a new HD user and noticed sth on the Settings->Menus and in Spb Screenshoot. Only on these two programs so far. Any suggestions how to fix this.
This is an issue with spb applications on the HD. A work around is to select the menu then use the arrow keys on a SIP to navigate the dropdown menu.
I have spb screenshot too but can access the dropdowns no probs, it looks to be an issue with the font\fontsize, try decreasing the default size (Settings\Screen\Text size) to the second smallest.. or use a different font
