I don't think its bashing if its the truth seen over and over lol
I remember reading a forum whare someone said they had honeycomb or gingerbread for a certain phone just flash it with that .zip and you have it. Two responses later (Thanks for the Brick)
Look, i hear what you guys are saying about not doing your homework before asking a question but that thread is huge and I really don't understand a lot of it to be honest with you so I figured I would ask.. A friend of mine actually did the dexter rom on my a7 and i wasn't there when he did it. He was going to walk me through it before he went back to Afghanistan but we never got a chance to so here i am.
I am trying to read as much as i can so I don't have to ask you all. But for now I am a noob so you can get on me all you want but i am sure this isn't the last time i will ask a dumb question about something that was discussed somewhere else so please have some patients with me and the rest of the non-enlightened folk...
the A7 was very disappointing out of the box... i just want a better functioning tablet... same as you all.. and i am happy with it now.. I just need to figure out how to do the patch. I wouldn't suppose there a "for dummies" version of how to do this anywhere is there?
try out some video streaming sites thru the skyfire browser. if you cant find it on the market i could post a link for you.

Yes, there are some know it all butt heads in this forum that leave yo guessing and having to ask again. Ignore those idiots-some of us do care.

You can always PM people that you see that are frequent posting, because when you ask a question about something that has been covered it drowns the important information, then we have other be lost, but me and others here would be glad to help, seeing as the community has started to grow

Tell us what u want to know and we gladly will explain bout it ..about bootloader, basic user like us didnt have to know much about it..but, if u still want to know about it,its a sony program that checks every system [email protected]@kernel before booting into android..the file has some hash and signature and if u replace it with others, your phone woot boot again..thats what i noe about it feel free to asking.
anyway, wrong branch.
PEOPLE READ RULES ><
Just calm down.. It's not the end of the world if somebody posts in the wrong subforum.. As for what you said on another thread about other thread starters being banned for starting threads that have been previously answered, bit harsh don't you think? I don't like the forums being flooded with the same thing anymore than you do but don't be so f**king harsh to everyone, they're all humans and have made a simple mistake.
Hi guy,
want to know if it possible to root my xperia play without unlocking the bootloader and my phone detail is as below.
Android - 2.3.3
Model: R800i
Thanks
It's completely possible if you use the flashtool OTA method. There are multiple threads about it. It doesn't require unlocking the bootloader.
Sent from my R800
Basically you have to use flashtool to revert back to 2.3.2, run gingerbreak or whatever tool to to get root access, and then do OTA to go back to 2.3.3. It only works with ota, if you use our pc companion you will loose root again

is there a risk that i might brick my phone using flashtool to revert back to 2.3.2? also will all my file in the phone or sd card will be wiped out completely after flash back to 2.3.2?
thanks

please use the search button. You're not the first one asking this
yes you can
I really don't understand why people don't just answer questions for people on forums like these. Obviously he should've used the search, but that doesn't make his question invalid. You can save him some time and confusion by answering his question directly, I'm sure it would've taken just as much time as it would to type out "USE THE SEARCH."

Sure I can, but after doing it for so many peoples that creates new threads with the same question, you lose your patience.
Hahah I have been biting my lips in saying the same
There's a reason I said "there are multiple threads about this"
This question keeps getting asked over and over by people who don't bother looking at other threads or using google.
One or two of them actually contain instructions written by me personally.
It gets annoying when people expect you to write a whole guide for them, when they were too damn lazy to look beforehand.

urm have you seen the number of threads asking exactly the same question?
pretty easy you can just scroll down general and you will see everyone asking the same question.
A good official guide will solve that > > ' I haven't found much success with finding any good locked bootloader guises for nooobs.

I agree but you don't have to read them or respond to them if they get on your nerves? If you must then simply post a link to the forum rules or search results.
Searching forums can be time consuming and a pain as the information required is usually lost in a mass of irrelevant threads or posts like these.
Instead of flaming the noobs the posts should be removed or helpful answers provided so when these threads also show in the search results it does not waste peoples time.
Remember just because you don't want to take the time repeating yourself or replying to these posts don't mean other members with knowledge and time on their hands feel the same.
[nvm] i found my own answer that fast. delete this.
Hello everyone,
I just got my Xiaomi Mi 9T and i was wondering if it is possible to get a stock android experience.
Maybe someone can point me in the right direction on this forum?
It has been a while since i last rooted / flashed a phone and so right now i'm a little overwhelmed.
Can i get stock experience by uninstalling bloatware and installing a launcher?
Or do i really need a custom rom?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Mannnn.... People just don't lgot too lazy or just can't search anymore. Sorry ofr being unpolite, but it's frustrating. People asks questions without bottering to search.
Xda used to be a good development forum. Now, is the same question being asked again and again. No one even search or read a page. It's a shame.

I agree with you, but in this guy defense, by his account he is really new.
Anyway, stock android is Pixel Experience or LineageOS
