I tried backing up Angry Birds w/Data, backup went fine but not the restore .. Angrybirds FCd on startup after the restore. Did not try to re-install the APK tough..
It works when I backup the data files.

Worked for me as well. I had to restore the app from titanium then restore the data separately.
works fine for me too
Alright.....Thanks for your replies....
It worked also for me!

Titanium Backup from the market will restore apps + data. But there may be problems when changing from 2.3.15 or .320 to .340 when restoring data.

As suggested Titanium is a excellent tool for back ups so isn't Google restore for Market programs.
When or if you restore with Titanium and can restore "old" data & settings which will cause issues. I use it as a safety net also to restore my game scores , levels and favorites . Google does the rest in 5-10 minutes depending on amount of programs you have.
Thanks I will try both titanium and google hopefully no lose, and backup my whole system before I do it.

Great tool, a must have, worth the few bucks as a backup of a backup ,
One time my SD crapped out my online backup through Backup Pro saved my butt.
Titanium pro has dropbox sync which is really nice for your backups just in case you end up needing to reformat your sd card.

Did you just back up the app or app and data? I think there was an update not too long ago that allowed for when user apps were backed up it would also do the data. I somewhat remember early on saving only the app and losing data as well though.
Titanium backup

Hi guys, I have a need for speed most wanted version 1.0.28 and there are some problems with it, i decided to update it ( game is not original ).
Is there any way to backup my progress or save them somewhere?
( I have origin account, does it save my progress online? )
tnx
Root your device
Install titanium backup from playstore(free)
Backup NfsMW
Install new update then go again to
Titanium backup and go to NFsMW
Restore DATA ONLY
or else if manually you wanna do.
Data is kept at
/root/data/data/here
^^you will find NfsMW filw there copy the folder in a secure place.
Install update ..then copy back the backed up folder at
/root/data/data/here
U can replace the existing one..then put permission as the other folders.
Thats it..now open the updates game
No technique without Rooting your phone. Sorry
-Rik[Rittik]
tnx, will try it, by the way I'm rooted
Or you could simply PURCHASE the app, replay it, and not have to worry about losing progress on future updates.

You can use titanium back to save and restore the data once you have to update installed. For that matter, carbon backup will do it for non rooted devices too.
By the app its worth it

If you don't want have problem with lost data, this is a good idea!
Try use Titanium Backup, or Nandroid Backup, Nandroid Manager of any backup software you like.
You'll ony give value for your data when you lose any information.
The best way to back up literally EVERYTHING is a NandroidBackup. Install a custom Recovery like CWM (Clock Work Mod) if you dont already have one. Through CWM, you can backup your phone AS IS, and upon restore, it will restore everything from Contacts, to text messages, to apps, to the Data of those apps, to phone call history ,,,, basically everything
Titanium Backup is the safest and the most reliable app
I usually use titanium to backup my installed application before flashing a new rom... N I hv to backup manually data of the big game.. Like one from gameloft..
Since I use color notes to keep everything n it has backup feature..
And I use google contact permanently to backup my contact n synced between my phone, tablet, and netbook..
For sms just go to playstore.. There is many backup program for it.. But I dont care this one being ridden.. So I dont back up it..
It suck to have generated 10 post just to tell how happy n thankfull iam for using a rom they make.

Backing up "whole data" sounds to me like wants to clone his entire drive.
