US Dell Streak unlock?

Hi all:
Still waiting for my order and I will go to Buffalo to pick it up this weekend...I am going to use it on Telus (Canada). I saw the post that someone called but no luck getting the unlock code. Anyone else tried calling AT&T or Dell and got a different answer?
I don't mind paying to unlock via a code but hate using a rebel sim. Anyone know where in Canada or online that can get the phone unlocked by code?

Just finished talking to someone name Shaquellar in the Dell Mobility department. She confirmed that the unlocked Streaks will be out this week and she also said "we don't have a way of giving you an unlock code today but we will a little later this week." maybe if enough people call and speak to them in DELL MOBILITY they will put a rush on it .. But you gotta get to the Mobility department .. sales or orders are NO HELP AT ALL.

Hey guys I'm new to this site and I just ordered a Dell Venue Pro from eBay. The listing said the mobile was locked to the T-Mobile USA network, I live in the UK. If I phone T-Mobile for an unlock code will they give it me so I can use it on the UK O2 network? Also once the phone will be unlocked to the O2 network will I be able to use it worldwide for example in India? Thanks!

tmo won't help you. email [email protected] with your imei to get the code

now a days i hear that neither tmo nor dell help you out unlocking the phone.
best would be to check on ebay. there is a guy with username fire who does it instantly it will cost you between 30-50USD but its instant.

just to add to my previous statement first try sending email to [email protected] as suggested by @weatherx and if that does not work only then use ebay to get it unlocked.

Phone Call
Well I phoned T-Mobile USA (08454125000) and asked them about my situation. The lady was very helpful and told me that when I receive my phone I should dial 611 and speak to the operator who will give me an unlock code and my phone will be unlocked to all networks in the UK. I asked her if there was any charges for getting the unlock code. She said T-Mobile UK defenitely charges but she wasn't sure about USA which is odd as she was there. So friends I will be receiving my phone tomorrow and I will try the 611 process. If that doesn't work then I'll email Dell. If that doesn't work then I'll visit the High Street. From all this bother I think I'll just buy an unlocked device next time no matter the price! I would also like to make you aware all UK buyers that a fully unlocked Dell Venue Pro is going for £240 and comes with a free headset and 1 year Dell warranty and P&P is free. Unfortunately this came on just after I purchased my device from another seller otherwise I would have bought this. I can't post a link on here but if you just search for it click on the first multi view option and its the first one from there. Please note I'm not advertising this, it's not my product, I'm not selling it, I am just making you aware.

Interesting and possible they got some of the Ones released in Germany (Their physical address on the site says "Warsaw, Poland"). I'd have to check on them before I bought anything since I've never heard of them.

It looks like polish land line. It isn't switched off, it looks like there's an automated secretary on this line.

Reaching Essential Customer Support?

Does anyone have a valid customer support phone number for Essential? Since they have shuttered their support webpage, I am feeling a bit cut off. I was one of the people sent a phishing email and took my appropriate defensive measures such as canceling my card. I just want to check-in to make sure my order is squared away properly.
