I bought an acer s200 on ebay and it is different from normal. it has front camera. behind the battery above the serial number is written engineering samples. when I called the first time in the boot he said only for testing not for sale. with the original rom he turned on the camera but had a lot of bug's and I installed a rom from arto's. but now I can not turn on the camera front. someone help me?

At first on youtube ACER S200 F1 was anounced with FRONT VIDEO CALL CAMERA,but when it is released for the market sell,the front camera dissapeared,don't know why?!.....
And when you install ARTO's ROM the camera app is may be different from the ROM you purchased the phone with...
And another thing,I am using Pham Quang's ROM V7 from pdaviet.net,and it is the best ROM for now,AND IT HAS VIDEO CALL option in the dialer,may be he is using the same test version of this phone?You must try!
Hi,i m curious can you post some pictures?I ve bought on ebay the touch panel and look s like it has one more hole for the camera near the headphone,in plus the acer writing is near the headphone in upper right position,not in lower center like the original one
I ve found a picture of what i think is the engineering sample,looking at the left of the headphone i can see the front camera,and on the upper right the acer logo.This touch panel is exactly like mine arrived today from hong kong

Been using various itje roms since i got my phone (but 8 months ago) I noticed after I put on the touch vista rom that my camera was taking awful pictures. I dont think it should be rom related, I just tried the touch 7 rom and it was the same. I prefer the vista one so ive gone back to that. Is it worth going back to an official release and trying ?
Ive gone through all the settings, its on 2MP shooting to sd card, on single shot mode (all modes including video have the same look) Ive checked all the settings i can think of. Whitebalance is auto. Effect is None. Quality is 2M (1600X1200) Fine.
Ill attach a picture to show you. I really hope it is software based and not the camera itself. Phone has been well looked after so it really should not be damaged. Externally it looks fine.

honestly i would try touch it 4 and see what happens
but when you say it takes horrible pics is it blurred like give us a discription
I included a picture which I thought was fairly self explanitory. The pics look like they have been posterised. The colors are separating distinctly, almost like its working with a limted colour set.
well it could be that the connection from the camera to the phone is a bit outta place but dont quote me lol

Looking at that one specifically. My tilt has a bunch of chip/scratch marks on the shell. It is also crooked when the slider isn't open (the face goes down more than it should, not sure why). I want to sell the phone to get a new HTC, so I'm planning on buying the kit and pretty much making it seem as new as possible. Good idea?

They do not give enough info from the site to know if this is complete (battery cover, backing, front face, new key board, and new call/end key pad). I bought a screen from them and they customer support SUCKS!! The screen had a red dot and they basically told me to F-off. So I would stay away from that site. I did find a complete housing form e-bay for the same price, got it and now my tilt looks brand new. Look up "AT&T tilit full housing" on eBay. That way you see exactly what you are getting:
Remeber some are just front and back covers, others are the entire setup.

I've had my One repaired 5 times. This last time it was deemed warranty void because it had a little scratch on the front camera lens. I yelled enough to be heard at HTC and the authorized a full repair ( new grills, lcd, rear panel, speakers, front and rear camera) I was pleased. I picked it up today and found it would not power up, stupidly i listened to the Bell store rep who figured it was dead. So i plugged it into the charger and found it to be at 50%, the power button would not actually move, like it was bonded to the phone. I started to look closer and found that my rear camera was off center significantly. I like most of you have looked at a lot of tear down videos, and I know that there is next to no wiggle room in there. I can only assume that the asshat at FutureTel that "fixed" it didn't align everything in place before he forced the back cover on.
I'm taking it back tomorrow morning to send it out again, why they won't just give me a new one is well beyond me...

I have bought 2 nexus 4 and combined those two to 1 working N4.
I'm getting complaints from people that they can't hear me to well.
We I put it on speaker they can understand me perfectly.
Would this be a hardware or software issue?
I'm running M915A-CEFWMAZM-2.0.1700.98 hybrid radio and Nexus 5 experience Rom.

The only way you can find out is by flashing a completely new ROM (after you backup, of course) with a full wipe, and trying to call someone. If it works, then it's software. If not, it's hardware.
My take on it is that it's software; microphone is working while on speaker..

Ok, I found the cruelpit.
it was the usb port board that was faulty.
I ordered one from ebay because my port was broken, however it is missing something on the mic.
