[Q] Comparisaon between Wildfire & Galaxy Ace

Dear All Wildfire Users,
I would like to know if you could provide me some information & comparison between Wildfire & Galaxy Ace...
I'm going to purchase among these two...
Thanks...
Just by going though the tech specs, the Galaxy Ace seems to ace the Wildfire everywhere (Far better CPU, a good GPU, Larger Screen, Better Screen Res, ). The only downside as of now I see is the lack of the modding community for it. (Expected though, since it is a new phone)
I think samsung is not too popular in usa & europe...only asia & india...
that's why not many modification...only thing is the Ace is not support flash browser
Even Wildfire does not support it, just FYI.

Absolutely not. Flash is a feature included by default in Froyo 2.2, but, it requires ARMv7 or newer processors to run. Wildfire has an ARMv6 processor, so, Flash will never work on the Wildfire (Unless Adobe redesigns it to work with old hardware, which is next to impossible).
The only thing that works on Wildfire is FlashLite, along with Sense based ROM's, however, as expected, this is nowhere close to the real thing.

well u don't have to download any flash player and you can download skyfire browser which plays flash by using the existing skyfire server. Try it ..

Which version? I've got quite different experience in that matter. Omnia II i8000 has too slow processor (old ARM11 unit), slow GPU and tiny amount of RAM (256MB)
I8000 really interesting

I do not understand why people intend to compare a phone produced in 2009 with Samsung Galaxy S4 or iphone5 hardware ?
When it was produced it was one of the best. Even today for someone that loves his phone, or simply doesn't wan't/ doesn't have to spend too much money for a better phone i8000 is very good and if you port android on it, with the combination of the two OS can do many many jobs
Now about Firefox OS according to this
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Firefox_OS/Introduction
YES, firefox os is possible theoretically to run on our phone.
The problem is drivers, drivers, drivers.
If any one of these phones will ever run ported Firefox OS, we may have chances to see it on our phone. If not i think none will write drivers from zero point.

Maybe but i dnt think u will get their version of android but surely good old devs are here to port it dnt be afraid go with the i9505 blindly its best
Pros for 9505: many roms including aosp and better community support, GPU with OpenGL 3.0, LTE, same hardware as google edition
Cons for 9505: about 10% less CPU power
Pros for 9500: about 10% more CPU power
Cons for 9500: no AOSP at least for now, worse dev community support, older GPU, no LTE (LTE version of 9500 is only in Korea), flawed CPU
No one knows if You will be able to flash google rom directly, but most probably it will be at least easily portable to 9505. For me the choice is very easy.

Anyway, get i9505 as it has much more development support and has 4g.

So the Gpu is better on the I9505 even though it's weaker?
Which one will show better performance in the future on heavy games (I know that at the moment, no game is a challenge for any one of them...).

See the gpu in i9500 has higher mhz but it isnt noticeable as no games are that high but for the future the i9500 has no support for glse 3.0 unlike the i9505 which does so u choose
samsung made this a controversy so that both devices sell
so....I9505 ? Or I9500?
iPhone 5 definitely :good: :good:

New graphics drivers from Note 8 - request for developer help

Attached is an APK of the graphics driver (newer than the ones currently on the S8) I pulled from a system dump of a Note 8. I was hoping to get some help from a developer if possible to be able to use with the S8.
It can be installed like a normal APK on the S8 or S8+, however it's not utilized because of the differing names:
S8: com.samsung.gpudriver.S8Adreno540_70
N8: com.samsung.gpudriver.N8Adreno540_71
EDIT: I have also attached the updated Exynos drivers: GPUDriver-N8MaliG71_71.apk
Hoping a developer would have to the ability to adapt this for S8 use.
Maybe this is a dumb question , but what is this for ? Thanks

Why do you think it will bring something useful? Absolutely pointless efforts and wasting of time...
These are updated GPU drivers from a Note 8 system dump. These are newer than the ones currently on the S8.

Well, these are a newer version of the GPU drivers we have currently in S8, so there may be a performance improvement.

I highly doubt that, even if so it will be miserable and absolutely not worth the efforts.

Don't say that. The Note is smoother than the S8. You know how bad mali drivers are in general

The note8 has a newer version of TouchWiz (8.5 vs 8.0), and is also running a slightly newer version of Android (7.1 vs 7.0), so those drivers have been specifically made for the note8. Like previous post said, trying to port the new drivers to a phone with older software will probably just be a major headache. Rather wait for the s8 to get updated TouchWiz and Android from Samsung.
ınstall s8 plus stock rom complate ?

LG really need to get their **** together.
I have LG k8 2016 and it have same chipset, only difference between your and mine model is battery and camera (and design obviously). Since my model didn't get nougat I doubt your will get it either. This is ridiculous. All 2017 models on mediatek chipset are running marshmallow and Qualcomm models are on nougat.

With custom ROMs things are even worse for mediatek devices.
Are you sure it doesn't have it? It's like LG's let's say trademark..
