Hello Everybody. I have been tested my hd2 now with the radio version installed:
2.10.50.28_2
Search on google and you will find it.
With this radio installed, your connection will be released, and you will not have to cancel connection before it will work again.
Before i had this radio installed, my connection was dropped like every 1 hour maybe.. it havent been disconneced since i installed it! SO YES!!
Makes the HD2 alot better!
I found this solution here on this site, so this is just a confirmation that it really works. Btw. I use Artemis 21.5 - just if you wonder.
Cya!
yup
that did it for me too for my stock 1,.66 rom.
have not had a disconnect in over 20 days now.
I've also had great luck with the 2.12 radio.

All,
I have recently upgrade to Xda Live v0.20 an has been working great since doing so...
I have never had any real problems with the device but latley calls have been hanging (Not able to end the call) call quality not all that good and calls cutting out....
Spoke to a friend who has upgraded his rom and said all the issues that he had went... Ah ha.... i thought... thats what i need...
So i ask... what is the latest radio rom that works and is there a small chance that i will brick my device....
Many Thanks

I'm running the LVSW Edition of WM6. I have radio 1.34.00.10 and seems to run fine though not had the OS installed long.
Would like to try radio 1.35.00.11 but cannot seem to download from xda ftp. Can anyone point to another source for this radio rom?
Cheers

Ok thanks for this....
Really worried about bricking the phone... Is it a difficult process??
Is it stable?

Are you trying this site for the ftp (Hermes Uploads)? ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/Uploads/Hermes.
Or this one ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/Hermes/Extracted_Radio_ROMs/
Both started downloading ok for me.
Why do you want to upgrade from 1.34.00.10 to 1.35.00.11? From what I've read in some of the other threads the only benefit the 1.35 radio has is that it is GPS enabled - not much use because the Hermes is no good for GPS.
I've made the above statements from paraphrasing others because I haven't compared these radios and don't need GPS - so I'll be happy if others correct me.
Maybe a bit of reading (probably lots really ) could save you the time of an un-necessary upgrade - but probably finding the info will take longer than flashing the rom!!!
so your saying that there is no need to upgrade my rom....
There is benefit for me in doing so?
GPS

Excuse me, but the Hermes is gooed for GPS. The only thing is that our Hermes-gods are working on an antenna. The antenna is not (yet) connected to the 'GPS-chip'. GPS worls, but there is only a weak signal.
Cheers

Sorry... tapped twice the button

Thats fantastic to know... and i am reading the forums on this development
But for the time being just wondered if there was a radio rom out there that improved the issues that i am currently having....
D
1.27
1.27 is good
3G works great on my HD2. But i've got some problems when I use HSDPA. After a while the connections stops. After a reboot the connection works again. Very frustrating.
I use the standard HTC ROM 1.66.....
HSDPA
A lot of people have this problem, including me. I've read almost all the posts on this issue and posted some replies myself.
Go to my profile and find the threads under the Statistics menu.
In the last few days the problem seems to have vanished but I need more time to confirm this as I don't want to get ahead of myself again.
If indeed the problem disappeared, I belive it did because I've found a good ROM - Radio combination for my location. I currently use Artemis 2.9b ROM with 2.07.50.27_2 Radio.
Please make sure you have the right connection setup before you begin flashing.
Good luck!
Right since this place has gone android crazy over the last few months, I thought I'd give it a go. Went through all the instructions, updated hspl to 2.08 updated radio to greater than 2.08. Ran android, boot screen shows all the boot up text then melts away into two lines, then....nothing (left it half hour just black screen and green flashing led). Anyway, reading though the 19900 posts on android I stumbled upon a post saying that to run android you need to flash a .50 radio not .51 What I want to know is as I am using the wwe stock 1.66 can I flash a .50 radio with no ill effects or will I have to flash a new rom as well?
If it means flashing a new rom then I'll just stick with WM as I've got my phone running nicely and haven't needed to mess about with it at all (to get it working!) for months
You can flash the Radio ROM only. As you are not using a TMOUS HD2 then there is no problem with bricking your phone.
I am currently using the 1.66WWE ROM and 2.10.50.08_2 Radio ROM.
I don't know how well this works with Android, as I like WinMo.

Ok cheers for that, will give it a go. Won't be using android as a day to day option, just want to try it out see what all the fuss is about.
Be careful: I tried THAT already (updating my radio on my 1.66-ROM Radio 2.06.51.07) to run Android but found out that all upper radios 2.08 and higher) from the radio-thread do partially not work on my HD2 (some of the basic functions Phone/WiFi/Wireless Router/HSPA etc. didn´t work anymore after upgrading).
So after flashing new radio CHECK EVERY function of radio if it´s working as before.
I had to go back to 2.06.51 to get my smooth running of my HD2 again with all Radio features working flawless.

Got to admit after flashing 2.09.51 yesterday it actually improved things, got hsdpa at home (4 bars as well) never had anything other than gprs as I live in an old quarry, lowest it has dropped to is 2bars of 3g so as far as dial up connectivity is am better off. Not had other issues with wifi, phone or messaging either, not tried bluetooth or wifi router yet but would assume that they are fine also. Obviously if things do start going ary I'll flash the original back
BTW android now boots and runs like lightining!
So I give it a last chance. Didn´t try 2.09.51 (goofed the line and thought it´s for TMOUS). Tx for the tip
Did You change rilphone.dll and if yes to which version ?

Hi djingonthenet,
Can you confirm you have flashed the radio to 2.09.51 and not 2.09.50? Any issue observed so far?
I have the same configuration as your HD2 and would like to try the Andriod but worry that the radio may cause unknow issue to my HD2, eg phone,3g, or wifi, etc.
Hello,
First this is my env :
- ROM Winmo : ROM Pyrana V-H-11.3
- ROM radio : ROM 2_12_50_02_2
- Carte SD : 4Go
- ROM Android : FroyoStone_Sense_V3.1
My problem :
When I boot the rom android (manually in winmo), after few hours (about 9, 10 hours), the internet connection fail down.
Phone calls woks fine but not internet acces
I can do this : parameters -> com manager -> uncheck mobile network -> re-check mobile network
after that The internet connection works during few minutes and fail down again.
Thanks to give me some tips or link to solve my problem.
I don't know if that may cause your problem, but did you check if your phone is in airplane mode before you boot android? It seems a little strange, because it works for 9 or 10 hours.. but check this anyway.
Another problem might be your radio, but I think that won't cause your signal loss after such a long time. But just to be sure, why don't you flash another radio?
Cheers
JanssoN,
Thanks, I'm not in airplane mode under Winmo.
Which radio version can I install insted of mine ?
I was certain to have the last one and the best...
Thanks

No, there are two newer ones.
Here is 2.15 (i think the latest, dunno if it works good with android).
Radio 2.15
And this is an older one 2.14, but I've flashed this one and I have to say it's very good. The signal is perfect and the battery drain is about 7mA in standby.
Radio 2.14 (take the one on the top).
Edit: I've just found another tweak which maybe will work:
Try this out
Oh my god 2.15 !
Flashed !
I'm waiting to verify the stability.
I'll come back tomorrow to give you the result !
Thanks a lot.

No problem. If this issue appears again try the tweak I posted above.

Hello,
I come back after a week.
The new ROM 2.15 don't change anything. I regulary loose internet connection after few hours.
I must disconnect and reconnect internet connection in settings to reactivate it.
Thanks a lot if you have some tests to do.

In winmo turn phone signal off then boot Android worked for me not dropped in over a day
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
You could also try this..
Cheers
hi OP, did u find a working solution? i'm expereinceing the same problem
I have the same issue. After a few hours my wifi shows still connected, but there is no access the network. I have to stop and start wifi to get it to work again. Any solutions??
I was having issues with my HD2 rebooting randomly, and freezing in some instances where I would have to pull the battery to get any response, this was on the TMOUS 2.10.531.0 radio. I was reading on here that to fix that I could try flashing the newer radio, 2.15.50.14, which I did.
This fixed the reboots, but now I have no data services, internet, apps that require data don't work, marketplace doesnt work because of the data.
I can connect to all these with wifi, and everything runs good again, but if I disconnect wifi, i'm back to nothing.
The phone used to show H for the connection, and now i'm down to 3G.
Any info on fixing this other than reflashing the old radio that would reboot/freeze my phone is much appreciated
I'm using the stock 16gb card that came with the HD2 at purchase. (US T-Mobile)
Try 2.14 radio and another sd card...SanDisk preferably .. The original sd within tmous hd2 has been reported to have some issues
Sent from my HD7 T9292 using Board Express
redo your APN settings, just incase its gone a bit wonky, use HTC connection setup if you cant do it manually. might work!
Do you possibly have a link to the radio you suggested?, I'm having trouble locating one to download...
Thanks alot,
Michael
Found it in the master radio thread, installing now, to see if it fixes my problems.
2.14 seems to have fixed my data issues. I'll post back after a couple of days to let people know if it also DOESN'T cause the phone to reboot like the 2.10 radio did.
