Gmail AutoSync not working - EVO 4G General

My gmail auto sync seems to have stopped working since yesterday. I have tried everything from unchecking/rechecking background data and autosync, clearing gmail/gmail storage data, pulling the battery and then finally doing a hard reset. But for some reason I get gmail only when my phone boots up for the first time or if I do a manual sync. I have no applications installed after the hard reset and I have the latest software update installed.
Can I format the SD card and see if that helps ? I am not certain what the SD card contains and if formatting it will mess anything up.

I'm having the same problems too, since earlier this week, have not been getting push Gmail with the Gmail app. Every so often an email comes through, but most do not. Very annoying.

I formatted the SD card and the sync seems to be working now. Don't know if it was a coincidence with some google backend push starting to work again. Gonna look at the SD card backup to see if I see anything that would cause this.

[APP2SD]When temporarily swapping mSD, corrupts programs

When temporarily swapping mSD, corrupts programs.
Temporarily swapped mSD cards so a friend could use my phone as a mSD card reader as he didnt have one handy. A bunch of programs failed to launched and were FCing. Which is to be expected, as the SD was storing them. But when i put my mSD card back in, the programs continue to FC, whenever trying to launch them. I ran fix_permissions. Didn't help. Even after upgrading to CM5.0.7n1-test2 (previously on CM5.0.6, and i didn't upgrade to fix the issue, i just upgraded around this time )
So is there a global solution to this? Or must I reinstall every app? (it was an awful lot of apps, events such as connectivity, receiving SMS/MMS and boot had occurred)
Also, i think APP2SD should have this little error rectified.... So when the program's are missing from mSD the programs crash, but dont get corrupt....

Persistent Sync Symbol

As far as I can tell sync is working. Everything is syncing as it should, but the sync symbol continues to appear in my toolbar. Should I be worried or just ignore it?
I rebooted but it comes back after a few minutes and doesn't go away.
Edit: Well, I am wrong.... it doesn't work, at least not for the google. Works for facebook and twitter though.
I had a similar problem and the sync icon was constantly on the notification bar, and with mine, my gmail was not syncing at all and I wasn't receiving emails on my phone on top of that my battery life was terrible my phone died within 3-4 hrs. I reset my phone and now everything is back to normal again
Well, I am getting gmail.....
When you say "reset" do you mean factory reset, because that would be a pain and a half, since the phone is rooted (will it be after reset?) and RyanZA's lag fix is on it.
Should I delete the calender data? Might that help?
You're getting gmail just fine though? So are you saying that other features of Google's sync (like contacts) aren't working properly?
I doubt you need to factory reset. But you may want to try removing and re-adding that Google account.

Auto hard reset - wp7

anyone else with this problem? i decided to stop using wp7 after a couple of auto - hard reset after every 4-5 days of usage and countless hours of deploying side applications and dreadful unlocking chevrons and activation codes and etc... %@$%
SIGH.
anyone who can solve this problem is much appreciated.
i once had this issue, too: turned my hd2.7 on in the morning, had a look at the display and voila - all settings are gone to factory state (brown tiles, english lanquage, all my apps were gone, too....) first time i was shocked; but then i discovered that this behaviour was the result of the non-compatibility of my sd-card! i switched my device off, pulled out the sd-card, re-inserted it directly after pulling it out and as i startet my hd2.7 again, all settings, apps and data were back!!!!! seemes to me, that any sort of cache or ram partition on the card runs into full after a few days of continouus using the device, and then the card disappears from the raid-system, looking to the user like performing a hard-reset... it's just like you would have startet your divice without the card insertet then.
for me, the solution was to buy a stated-as-compatible sandisk 8gb class 2 card - now all my wp7 problems are gone away
thank you my mannn!
edit: it doesnt work, it keeps auto reboot before even entering the home (tiles). and sumtimes when it gets in, it is factory resetted.

Disappeared pictures

Over the last few days I've experienced problems with my G6.
Pictures that I have taken, and have viewed in the Gallery, are no longer there or unable to be opened later. I restarted my phone and they disappeared completely.
It could be my sd card, which I will replace later today; however, if that does not fix the problem, what should I do.
It's probably "just" a deffective or improperly formatted SD Card. You could try re-seating or formatting it and, if nothing works, maybe even try a hard reset of the phone.
It may also be Google photos app, if you're using it. I believe you can set the app so it deletes phone photos as it backs them up in Google photos. It's probably not this but maybe check just in case.

Problems with Adopted Storage (a.k.a Flex Storage)

Hello all,
I have a Moto Z Force Droid (XT1650-02). It's running on Android version 8.0.0, and build number OCLS27.76-69-6. It was acquired from Verizon. It is not rooted (sadly), and the bootloader is locked. It has 32GB of internal storage, however, I added an SDCard(64GB) to increase that storage space.
I'm having some problem(s) with my SDCard, or more so its usage as adopted storage. I've had the phone with the storage for quite a while and everything has been fine. However, 3-4 days ago was when the issues started. One night, my phone was acting really laggy. Which I just chalked up to tech being tech. I let it sit for a bit, tried rebooting it, etc. Well, as time progresses it seems to me that Facebook Messenger is what's slowing it down. So, I try uninstalling it. Of course, this isn't working and android just keeps giving me a helpful little notification that the app is uninstalling (for much longer than it *should* take). I figured I'd reboot into safe mode and try uninstalling it from there. The phone powers off and reboots fine. However, when I tried to unlock the screen, the entire phone froze and crashed after a minute or two. Once it reboots, it gets stuck in the bootloader (or, more specifically, where it says "DROID" and there are little shiny spots moving around the letters). So I used the power button to force the device off and try rebooting again. Again, boots up fine but it freezes at unlock and the cycle starts again.
Around 2 days ago I took it to a Verizon store. Originally I was just told I was going to have to factory reset (which I didn't want to because all the pictures I have and such would be lost. Apps are backed up by Google though). They told me to take out the SDCard, to help save what I could. Then, I got the bright idea to try booting without the card. This time the phone booted fine and unlocked like it should (the only problem now is that I had no internal storage and all the apps that were on the SDCard aren't loading since no SDCard).
When I leave the phone on and install the SDCard, I can browse the internal storage again. However, I can't see any of the files when I try transferring them to PC over USB. As well, after a while of using the phone, or even letting it idle, it will eventually crash and go back to the above botting and not-unlocking scenarios.
Based on how/when the problem started, and the logcats I've grabbed as the phone was crashing, I have reason to believe it has something to do with Facebook Messenger not being removed correctly. [Logcats in the comment below.]
Any help would be greatly appreciated. As well, please tell me if there's anything that needs clarification. (Sorry for the wall of text. I just don't know what else to do at the moment.)
