Over the last few days I've experienced problems with my G6.
Pictures that I have taken, and have viewed in the Gallery, are no longer there or unable to be opened later. I restarted my phone and they disappeared completely.
It could be my sd card, which I will replace later today; however, if that does not fix the problem, what should I do.
It's probably "just" a deffective or improperly formatted SD Card. You could try re-seating or formatting it and, if nothing works, maybe even try a hard reset of the phone.
It may also be Google photos app, if you're using it. I believe you can set the app so it deletes phone photos as it backs them up in Google photos. It's probably not this but maybe check just in case.

My gmail auto sync seems to have stopped working since yesterday. I have tried everything from unchecking/rechecking background data and autosync, clearing gmail/gmail storage data, pulling the battery and then finally doing a hard reset. But for some reason I get gmail only when my phone boots up for the first time or if I do a manual sync. I have no applications installed after the hard reset and I have the latest software update installed.
Can I format the SD card and see if that helps ? I am not certain what the SD card contains and if formatting it will mess anything up.
I'm having the same problems too, since earlier this week, have not been getting push Gmail with the Gmail app. Every so often an email comes through, but most do not. Very annoying.
I formatted the SD card and the sync seems to be working now. Don't know if it was a coincidence with some google backend push starting to work again. Gonna look at the SD card backup to see if I see anything that would cause this.
Sigh, I should have never returned my original EVO, seems like the new phone I got last week is giving me nothing but headaches. First it was rooting issue, and now I'm experiencing SD card unmounting issue, the phone will not recognize the card for no apparent reason during use (sometimes when I'm not even doing anything). Once it happens, I can't access any music, pictures, apps that are stored in SD card, and only fixes itself once I reboot the phone and after couple minutes it unmounts again. My beautiful widget will stop working and will be missing couple of numbers on the clock and that's how I know it has unmounted the SD card. Is anyone having the same issue as me? and if so can anyone recommend a fix for this problem?
I've tried reformatting, taking the SD card out and putting it back in, re-rooting the phone, nothing seems to work.
I have no suggestions other than returning the phone.

Hi everyone, im new here
So i recently upgraded my E7 to kitkat stock firmware and everything went fine however,
few days ago i noticed that there is no pictures i take with camera are saved to my gallery and once i opened the gallery
there was no pictures inside at all.
I rebooted my phone and the pictures were back but without the ones i took.
The small window in camera app is blank when its happening
Yesterday i have noticed same thing but not before evening and i have taking a lot of pictures that day so everythin
was lost. Like i didnt took them at all.
Sorry for bad English, hope you did understand me
Have you rooted the phone???
Same problem occurs to me too
Sometimes, suddenly my phone gets rebooted and after reboot Gallery seems to be empty. If i take new pictures from camera, those pictures doesn't get saved. I have to reboot my mobile to make it work again.
I checked, that KitKat when connect a pendrive by OTG, if disconnected by pressing the button on the top menu of the phone, what happens is that it's like also to expel the "Sd" phone memory. Thus the applications I have installed in the "external" memory of the mobile disappear. As the photos also go to the same partition, you maybe something happened.
The solution is, connect and disconnect "on the go". Not press this button. The system run and work perfectly!
Hey, so today I restarted my phone and was greeted with the error "Damaged SD Card SD Card is damaged. Try reformatting it."
Obviously I didn't want to do that. So I decided to check it and popped it into my computer and everything works fine. Restarted my phone. Popped it back into my phone. Still doesn't work. I downloaded SD Insight to verify the legitimacy of the card (which I didn't think would be a problem since I picked up the Samsung Pro one at Fry's Electronics).
Just wondering if anyone else has run into this as of late and/or has a solution based on past experience? I was trying to avoid reformatting since it works fine on my computer and it's a lot of data I'd have to deal with putting back...thanks for any help in advance!
Oh. And it's a Samsun Pro+ 64GB card. If that helps.
Had this happen on my wife's mxpe. I had to back the SD card to my pc, format it then put everything back on it. When. Doing so I noticed there were about a dozen corrupt files. Not sure how or why it happened, butnita been 3 weeks now and it hasn't happened again!

I gave up and moved everything off, reformatted, and moved it back on.
Just wanted to note: this may or may not be related to something I noticed with my music. I have some Google Play Music that I downloaded to my computer and then moved to my phone (because I hate the way Play Music only lets you download the whole album). After a few weeks, I noticed my other music players (Phonograph and Black Player Music) would stop when those songs would queue up. It would say "this song could not be played" and just quit. Funny thing is, sometimes those songs wouldn't even show up on my SD card. TIt had been happening for a couple of weeks, which prompted me to restart my phone today (though not the first time I've restarted in the same time frame). Anyway. Weird.
Hello all,
I have a Moto Z Force Droid (XT1650-02). It's running on Android version 8.0.0, and build number OCLS27.76-69-6. It was acquired from Verizon. It is not rooted (sadly), and the bootloader is locked. It has 32GB of internal storage, however, I added an SDCard(64GB) to increase that storage space.
I'm having some problem(s) with my SDCard, or more so its usage as adopted storage. I've had the phone with the storage for quite a while and everything has been fine. However, 3-4 days ago was when the issues started. One night, my phone was acting really laggy. Which I just chalked up to tech being tech. I let it sit for a bit, tried rebooting it, etc. Well, as time progresses it seems to me that Facebook Messenger is what's slowing it down. So, I try uninstalling it. Of course, this isn't working and android just keeps giving me a helpful little notification that the app is uninstalling (for much longer than it *should* take). I figured I'd reboot into safe mode and try uninstalling it from there. The phone powers off and reboots fine. However, when I tried to unlock the screen, the entire phone froze and crashed after a minute or two. Once it reboots, it gets stuck in the bootloader (or, more specifically, where it says "DROID" and there are little shiny spots moving around the letters). So I used the power button to force the device off and try rebooting again. Again, boots up fine but it freezes at unlock and the cycle starts again.
Around 2 days ago I took it to a Verizon store. Originally I was just told I was going to have to factory reset (which I didn't want to because all the pictures I have and such would be lost. Apps are backed up by Google though). They told me to take out the SDCard, to help save what I could. Then, I got the bright idea to try booting without the card. This time the phone booted fine and unlocked like it should (the only problem now is that I had no internal storage and all the apps that were on the SDCard aren't loading since no SDCard).
When I leave the phone on and install the SDCard, I can browse the internal storage again. However, I can't see any of the files when I try transferring them to PC over USB. As well, after a while of using the phone, or even letting it idle, it will eventually crash and go back to the above botting and not-unlocking scenarios.
Based on how/when the problem started, and the logcats I've grabbed as the phone was crashing, I have reason to believe it has something to do with Facebook Messenger not being removed correctly. [Logcats in the comment below.]
Any help would be greatly appreciated. As well, please tell me if there's anything that needs clarification. (Sorry for the wall of text. I just don't know what else to do at the moment.)
