Hi all.
Need some help really bad. Tried to upgrade my magician (s100) to ROM 1.11.133WWE from qtek.se.
Did exactly as it said I had to but as soon as I started the upgrading my magician went all dead and black and the install shield wizard went down. The only thing left on the computer screen is a box that says: "checking the information on your device... please wait...
Please dont disconnect your device from your PC until the update is completed".
So what do I do?!?!
Am desperate to get my device working again!
Please please help me!

As far as I know.. u have my to disconnect ur PPC from the USB cable, then restart PC, u should continue to upgrade after u PC restarts..
u may also try to change the port of the USB cable as well...
this may work on Win XP, I don't know anything about other OS..
I'm not sure about this since I did not face this problem b4..but this solution was reported in another forum ( and maybe here )
I hope this will help...and maybe someone else could give u more INFO...

Got it working!
Did a couple of reboots and that made the trick...
Now, my only problem is that I cant seem to restore my backup-files
Does anyone know where I can download the free program o2plus that I had earlier? Can´t find it anywhere. Loved that thing...

I believe it is better if u do a new fresh installation of everything instead of making a restoration
many users reported problems when restoring after an upgrade...
mostly, ur device will become very slow ....

I'm not sure but i think my blackstone is on its last legs.
It all started after i flashed to Dutty's last rom the r15 one. Did the usual uspl and eveything went to plan. Then about a week ago the phone frooze, i could'nt get it to reset so had to take the battery out (no biggy). Then tried turning it back on, and it just frooze again right at the windows start-up screen. So did a hard reset and the phone seemed very slow and jumpy.
Then i thought maybe the download of dutty's rom wasn't the best. So today i had planned to install a different rom and see if it was just a bad download or sumthing. And heres the big problem, i can't get the bootloader to connect to my pc.
And what seems strange is that when i enter the bootloader it flashes up with the re/green/blue/white screen andt ehn it shows a grey screen with "loading......." for about 10 seconds then comes back the normal bootloading screen. As usual serial pops up at the bottom, but when connected to my pc it won't show USB!!
I have win7 64, but i have set it up so i can flash using USPL as thats how i got dutty's R15 rom on there.
Any help would be great and hopfully i can get this sorted swn as i love my hd.

i've spent the past 2 hours searching here and havent found anyone with the same problem.

if you could update from the sd card that would solve some of your problems.but i realy do not know if it is working if you do not have HSPL.
maybe you can find some info on the forums about updating via sd card without HSPL.
or you could try to connect to a computer with other operating system than windows 7.
i am now installing the stock rom.
hopefully then i wil be able to install a cooked rom again.

I will see what the outcome is from the stock rom. And if i can't get it working again with win7 then i'll have to set up my mini pc (made a pc inside an old nintendo SNES) as thats got xp running

Well after more hours spent reading thro web page after web page, i stumbled over someone saying that it could be down to the usb cable and i have a few mini usb one, so tried them all, finally got the bootloader to show the usb.
I was then going to install a cooked rom, but thought i'd be the best to go for stock first.
All is working ok now. I'm not sure if it was down to the usb cable totally tho as it was a bit strange the whole grey loading screen on the bootloader which has gone now with the stock rom.
ah well looks like its fixed for now.

I have a problem, when I connect my phone with the USB cable to my computer, it doesn't do anything. He don't recognize the phone, doesn't make any connection nor see the SD card.
I've already tried to clear the box: Enable faster data synchronization, and tried to choose Disk Drive (Faster file transfer), it all doesn't do anything.
Tried different PC's, with WMC and Active Sync 4.5, with different OS's.
The cable isn't broker or something because the only thing that happens when I connect the phone with my PC is that the orange light (battery charge) is on.
I've installed Shadowline ROM, but it did work with that rom (active sync and disk transfer).
I think it is a problem of the ROM tho, so is there any way to flash my ROM without using a PC?
Answers would be realy appreciated.

You can flash from the storage card, just rename the .nbh file to TOPAIMG.nbh and put on the root of your storage card, go to bootloader mode and it will flash.
Your cable can be bad and still charge. I would try a different cable.
Also try deleteing the partnership in Active Sync and try to reestablish it.
I assume you hard reset after you flashed the ROM.
I do not think its a ROM issue.

And then he goes to the white screen with the blue letters saying: Loading...
(I waited many times, one time for 2 hours but nothing happend).
When I put out my SD-card and the battery and connect the phone with the USB (my pc still don't see recognize anything) it will boot to the exact same screen as I typed here above but then he stays at that one.
I can't do anything, already tried to hard reset him but that also didn't work.
It feels like im pretty screwed..

Maybe you have a problem with the mini USB.
Happen to me with Touch HD.
If so take it to a reppair shop.
Well, I borrowed and USB cable from my friend and now he indeed makes an connection. But no active sync connection. I also can't see my SD card in My Computer. He still only shows the screen that I typed here above, but then under in the white area a little text: USB
What do I have to do next to fix it,

I am concerned that you screen shot shows SPL 1.83.00, but you have flashed Shadowline's ROM.
It should say SPL: 1.83.00Olinex which would mean you have HSPL installed which is absolutely required to flash a custom ROM.
Did you have that ROM operational and just couldn't sync, or has the device not worked since you flashed this ROM?
Yes, I had the shadowline ROM, and it al worked good. I also could connect my mobile to my pc with the USB cable.
I don't know what happend, I didn't install any other program or something else but I suddently couldn't connect my mobile phone to my pc anymore.
But I wanted another ROM because I noticed that the Shadowline ROM feld a little bit laggy, so I found out that you can do that by your booting with the SD card.
And I know that you have to install hardSPL first, so I downloaded that one from the big post in this ROM forum from Topaz.
Booted with the SD card, and then when I started to flash the ROM he gave an error and now I have to problem that I can't do anything anymore.

I guess my point was if you had Shadowlines ROM, you were already HSPL'd, no need to do again.
Hard reset the phone and try to install ROM from SD.

i had once the same problem. No connection with PC anywhere. I couldnt do nothing with that and was quite desperate about that.
But once suddenly it came to work again. I am not sure what made it work again but the only thing I can guess was that I took out and gave back the memory card with the turned on phone. Since then I have never had this problem again.
I wish you that this taking out of memory card helped you too.

Just some points;
Make sure the .nbh file is named excatly TOPAIMG.nbh paying attention to the case of the letters.
When you attempt to go into Bootloader, Holding Voume Down and Power buttons at the same time when phone is off, what screen appears?

I had the same problem as well, so I deactivated and reactivated the SD card from the phone, actually I cant take out the sd with the turned on phone. It worked once, but it happened again so i tried to the same but know the deactivate function in settings doesnt worked. Now i dont know what to do. if anyone could help me i would be very thankful.
My handset is a xperia x10 with 2.1 generic flashed bb 2.1.54, and 2.2 wolbreak gingerbread rom.

My Phone does not see USB connection for Activesync but is does see it to charge. Also my PC doesn't see my Phone via the USB
What do I need to do to establish a active sync USB connection
It will connect via blue tooth - but I need the connection back.
Can anyone Help please
P.S. I have used serveral Roms on my device.
try to put ure phone in restore or boot screen mode then try to plug it in , coz it happened to me as well , as i m typing now....
That doesn't work.
I have installed a couple of roms since this issue became an issue but i installed them via the microsD.

check usb settings
Are you able to connect usb, and see the contents of mirco sd card
sometimes the "usb to pc" setup may be set to disk content instead of activesync
check : settings/system/usb to pc

For me an error comes up saying "device not recognised" (i opened up the device, checked for any hardware f ups, couldnt find any.. Although it cant be software either coz if flashed so many times after it with the same problem.. Really weird. If you find a solution, id love to know it to.

I have install roms before the issue and since it happened I have done via the MicrosSD.
There must be a way of sorting this

you could try a task 29 or install a original rom to see if the problem go away

Sorry I cannot connect to my PC in any way other than bluetooth or MicrosSD so I cannot use Task 29.
I'll try a stock rom.
Does anyone know where to find the latest stock ROM from orange UK

Task 29 cannot be done because of the USB port not funtioning.. and flashinga stock rom didnt work, maybe it needs to be done by USB?
BTW, should say this before, once you flash stock, you cant go back to HSPL as HSPL can not be flashed without USB..
Hello! I have a Nike 100. I had recently changed the original rom with a new one. I didnt have any problems till recently it stopped working on usb mode. Even if i try to put it in bootloader it still isnt recognized.. even though its charging normaly... I thought the problem was in the cooked rom for some reason and i tryed following the info on the forum to install a new one using the microsd and but it doesnt find it.. althougth when u look with file explorer on the cooked rom it finds it correctly.. i sync it with bluetooth since it doesnt work in another way.. Any Ideas are welcome! Thanx in advance..
