Touch HD seems dead

Today my touch hd froze, when i removed the battery and put it back in it did not power on.
I can no longer get it to power on, with or without battery, with or without the usb charger attached.
I've been using a dusk evo build for more then a month so im quite curious why this suddenly happend.
Thinking of claiming warranty but im a bit worried with the custom rom installed, what do you guys recommend?
hard reset did not work, i see no led activity either.

Touch HD wont charge or turn on

Hi,
My touch HD has been in the drawer for a few months now and it wont turn on or charge. About a month before I stopped using the Touch HD it occasionally got really hot and I had to take the battery out to reset it. I then noticed it would turn its self off and some times not turn on for a few hours. But now it just wont do anything. I can only assume its the motherboard that's away. This leads on to my next question. How can I tell for sure its the motherboard, and if it is where is the best place to get a second hand one? I have charged the batteries and its still not turning on.
Thanks in advance
Jordan
1.check battery charge or if you can replace it with good one
2.check does phone goes to boot menu
about new or second hand PCB check on internet

Thanks for the quick response. Initially it had no change in the battery but i cut the end of a USB cable off and held it on the battery for a while and I did get a charge in to it but still nothing. It is not even trying to boot up. Nothing on the screen at all.
i think im having the same problem hahaha!

[Q] htc hd2 original charger is hot to 45 degrees without the battery, sim and sdcar

Hello and thx for any help!
i use: htc hd2
Android Vers. 2.3.3
Kernel: 2.6.32.15_r7_ga8bf8f2 (tytung ubuntu 27
Nexushd2 Gingerbread V2.4 NAND
My problem:
my htc hd2 with original charger is hot to 45 degrees (CPU?) without the battery, sim and sd card
when the battery, sim and sd card are in the connected mobile phone with charger, according SetCPU the battery has 45 degrees and stops to load.
Automatic loading / load controller broken?
many Thanks!
Your device get's hot without having the battery inserted?
Maybe your device is President Obama's Top Secret Unlimited Regenerable Power Source.
, You language is hardly understandable (to me), but I like the way you follow the rules
The overheating could be due to the Processor being overclocked? What is your SetCPU's profile?
Hi and thanks
Your device get's hot without having the battery inserted? YES IT CAN while connected to the charger
the same when the Batterie is in it and turned on
the phone is not overclocked with setcpu.
IT stops to charge at 45 degress ..... i charge my phone now with a coolingbag, wonderfull!
Do you have a better solution ;-)
Backup your ROM, flash back to WinMo Stock and see if the problem presists .. then Im sorry but it's probably a hardware issue.
And by the way, what are you exactly charging when you connect to charger without battery in? it doesn't even boot.

[Q] Android HD2 extended battery causing phone to crash

Hello, everyone. I have recently installed android on my HD2 using a guide here on the forums. Everything worked so perfectly until I bought an extended battery. The battery is 2300, and it is an official HTC battery. The problem is if i put the extended battery and turn on the phone, the phone starts fine, loads and but right after 1 second when the home screen is loaded the phone crashes. I tried with and w/o SD card, connected to the charger and the problem still persists. But when i put the old battery, everything works just fine. Do i need some kind of software update? a driver? or is the battery defective?
Try to charge your battery, with phone off, for a few minutes and then turn it on. Maybe your extended battery came empty...
