SW Update on Vodafone

Woke up this morning to find a notification saying that an update is available, however unlike 024 that I could do OTA this one says I need to connect to a PC. Is this 026 or something else??

build number R2BA024.... no change? it acted as if it was flashing but upon restart, all i got different was a notification that Vodaphone 360 has an update, which i declined... lol
edit: and now i have an application in my draw called 360 Updates i opened it and it takes me to an install screen for vodafone 360.
how dissapointing!

Generic UK has 15 Mb update after 026 FW, I dont know what is it, never has a change to test cuz i cant stand for an unroot FW more than 1 minute, ha ha

Wonder if it is R2BA027 or R2BA028. Maybe it is to correct the WiFi bug that some have been experiencing.

Nope, as I said, I already update that file, same base band and FW ver 026. I think it is just some small update for fixing bugs. I hope that it is a incall volume fix but it seem isn't

Vodafone 151MB update via Update Service on PC...
Not too sure what this update is all about, am still trying to figure it out, I was on 024, it still says 024...WTH

nothing showing here ........ I unbranded originally from 014 voda branded to 016 uk generic unbranded ..I'm now upto Baseband 1.1.31 and firmware R2BA026 from a couple of days agos update not sure if this is most recent but not offering anything OTA or via SEUS either !?
Ive not seen the WIFI dropout issue with mine as yet so dont know If I maby got an after that bugged release fixed version?!

People just calm down, and stop blowing your own mind regarding FW updates. I'll rather dicuss when our OS get updatet to 2.1 etc later this month or end of September. And i got my hands on a test version for the X10i. So you can all soon been awaiting it on OTA or thru SEUS tools.

@All who are confused... The OTA version of the builds is a patch version which downloads only the bits that need to change.. the SEUS or PCC version downloads the complete file and in my experience the SEUS version was actually a bit slicker.

I agree its weird and messy, however this is just a flex rom update but still I agree I mean at least they could put a change log somewhere or something and get this some dude uploaded 4.010.39! What the hell? Talk about confusing 38,39... bla bla bla

I was rooted and got updated twice, from 4.010.22 to 4.010.30 then to 4.010.38.

Just received OTA from 4.010.24_COM_GEN1 to 4.010.40_COM_GEN1

Not rooted.

updated here in NZ to .40 as well here still 3.1 upate was thirty seven meg

Just got the update from .30 to .38.
I'm from Croatia.

Still no update in Czech Republic. I asked Acer when it will be available, and they said "We don't have any information about it."

What is this update I am rooted with adhoc wifi fix and failled twice to install it. I can undo both changes but was wandering if the update is worth it. So can anybody tell me what the update does it seem to be 42 megs.

I had only just rooted prior to the .38 update in order to replace the wpa_supplicant. When the update was being downloaded I used Iconia Root to unroot with the modified wpa file still in place.
The update was run and completed successfully the first time.
In Australia but running 010.38_GEN_COM1

You cannot install an incremental update if you've modified your OS in any way. Revert to original files and then it will work. Your SHA5 checksums don't match, that's why it's failing.

Just received an OTA update from 4.010.30 to 4.010.38. I am located in Archbald Pa.

Well, I'm running 4.010.08_COM_GEN2 and was rooted, but have since unrooted while I wait for the second update to come through. Nothing here yet (New Zealand, tablet purchased in the US).

I have the international version of I9023 and I just got the official OTA update of ICS some 10 minutes back.

guys please help me
I just got it also finally and it downloaded 100% and when it was supposed to reboot it acted like I pressed back or home, so it didn't reboot/install and the update dissapeared.
So it says the system is updated.
I dont want to wait for days again!!!!!! please help

What is your version Rom now in your Nexus S? ..and this version is officiale or it's a custom Rom ?
You must have official v2.3.6 installed on the phone ....after that you can update your Nexus with ICS 4.0.3...

I have the carrier-free version of the i9023 and I live in Pakistan. The update failed though. Don't know why.

Got the exact same issue (just posted in that big 165 page thread). i9023, stock as bought, no root. system still says 2.3.6 and manual reboot still does nothing but boot into GB as normal

Same issue in my spanish stock version!

I received the notification for the OTA update yesterday evening, downloaded the update but wasn’t able to install it because I didn’t had enough battery left.
I charged the phone during the night and was hoping to install the update this morning but I can’t find it anymore.
If I go to “About phone”/“System updates” it says the phone is up to date.
I have a carrier-free i9023 with stock 2.3.6 and live in Switzerland.
does anybody know how to install the update?

Hungarian too, with an i9023. Using official ICS since 16 dec. So that's not the problem. But if you are in hurry, and have 30 minutes, you can install CWM recovery and reinstall the 2.3.6, after a few minutes it'll ask you to update to 4.0
After update you will get back the stock recovery, you can even relock the bootloader if you wish, so everything will be stock, and official, and untouched. Look for root infos on nexus s general threads, also you will find the 2.3.6 ROM there ([REF] ALL Nexus S OTA Updates for ALL Variants, Plus Full ROM Packages)

Yesterday I received the update notification, but I was not home and I could not update, and after a few hours notification disappears :-(

Telus XT1097 5.1 OTA/Update

Hello All,
Today - - July 20th, according to schedule posted on Telus website, is supposed to be the start of the official 5.1 OTA roll-out for our XT1097 RETCA phones.
I am not yet seeing it pushed on my end but eagerly awaiting to test it out. I thought I would start a little thread here so people can post their results, upgrade experience, overall performance etc. [MODS: if this thread is deemed repetitive or unnecessary, please let me know]

Can't wait ! still no update

That was me. I was surprised that they answered me again. They said July 18th at that time. Then it says the 20th.

Thanks bertiespeed! Good link to have, I was wondering how active those Moto subforums are but it seems like a reliable place. So eager for this to land on my phone. I flashed the stock brazilian 5.1. firmware just to see the overall feel of stock 5.1 compared to 5.0 >> NIGHT and DAY. Huge difference.... looking forward to the RETCA version. I will post back here as soon as I get the OTA notification, for the moment back to NX rom :good:

Update 7/24/2015: All users on Retail Wind and Telus (22.121.11.victara_retca.retca.en.CA) can download and install Android 5.1.
I am unfortunately on the road and cant do anything till after the weekend. If any of you here using the Telus XT1097 RETCA get the OTA please let us know here....

I've been searching for 23.16.1.victara_retca.retca.en.CA full firmware to keep as backup, I still haven't found it. I prefer flashing full firmware using fastboot, rather than doing a system backup/restore using a custom recovery.

Thank you for that, I will try to download it, but I'm not hopeful, downloading a GB from Filefactory could take from 3 to 6 hours, if it ever finishes. Motofirmware still doesn't have it.

Android 7.1 TOS0431 OTA update

JToday I got a new update for the swft 2X the android 7.1 nougat update
So Its now confirmed that they are working on the android 7.1 update!
I'm now downloading the update but I think they did make a mistake by pushing it because the download speed is like 100kb/s for 1.5 gb so It will take a while!
Also I asked the support chat of wileyfox about this update and they didn't even know about this update so I'm sure it was a mistake, I'm downloading it right now and will update this thread when it got installed.
Btw are there other peaple with this update and what is your download speed?

It was a mistake by wileyfox they didn't want to rollout the update already, they also prefend me to install the update by unrolling the update.
But they said in the support chat yesterday that they didn't know about the update and they heart that it will come in 2 weeks so we need to wait a little bit more.....
I'm happy that they are going to update to 7.1 instead of 7.0 like most devices are now

Yeah I was stupid enough to wait I should have started a logging program to find out the location of the download location because they deleted the update now fully.
And because the update was downloading with 25kbps it didint download fully
So maybe someone got also this update because I'm sure that I'm not the only one who has this phone in holland or got this update becuase it got pushed pretty badly I couldnt even stop it (it also started automaticly)

Actually we wanted that update file to get something from your phone , i mean we have a device with SD430 and same specs as wileyfox swift 2x . so wanted to make a whole New Rom . well if you don't have that file it's OK it will be Public within few weeks

I know what you want but I didn't got the update it downloaded for 3 days and at day 2 they already switched the version of the check for updates back so it said "No Updates Available" when it still was downloading.
and at day 3 when it was at 75% it stopped fully with downloading the update, so lets hope someone else got this update and otherwise we need to wait some weeks
