I agree its weird and messy, however this is just a flex rom update but still I agree I mean at least they could put a change log somewhere or something and get this some dude uploaded 4.010.39! What the hell? Talk about confusing 38,39... bla bla bla

I was rooted and got updated twice, from 4.010.22 to 4.010.30 then to 4.010.38.
Just received OTA from 4.010.24_COM_GEN1 to 4.010.40_COM_GEN1
Not rooted.
updated here in NZ to .40 as well here still 3.1 upate was thirty seven meg

Still no update in Czech Republic. I asked Acer when it will be available, and they said "We don't have any information about it."
What is this update I am rooted with adhoc wifi fix and failled twice to install it. I can undo both changes but was wandering if the update is worth it. So can anybody tell me what the update does it seem to be 42 megs.
I had only just rooted prior to the .38 update in order to replace the wpa_supplicant. When the update was being downloaded I used Iconia Root to unroot with the modified wpa file still in place.
The update was run and completed successfully the first time.

You cannot install an incremental update if you've modified your OS in any way. Revert to original files and then it will work. Your SHA5 checksums don't match, that's why it's failing.

Just received an OTA update from 4.010.30 to 4.010.38. I am located in Archbald Pa.
Well, I'm running 4.010.08_COM_GEN2 and was rooted, but have since unrooted while I wait for the second update to come through. Nothing here yet (New Zealand, tablet purchased in the US).

So the day OTA was released I didnt get it so I found a dl link and flashed it... but today I flashed. 26 then ota to. 57 but I can't get the at&t message for ota to. 83 and when I manually search for it in the phone or on computer it says no new update.... im on wifi with 60% battery.. any ideas

You could always download the SBF and do it yourself. Otherwise, you just need to be patient and wait for it. Imagine how much could go wrong if they tried to push it out to every Atrix on the network at the same time. You'll get it when they push it to you, don't worry. I'm still waiting too.

It got pulled it will go out sometime here soon.
I downloaded something before it got pulled. I can't install anything but here is what I downloaded on my phone.
It initiates the updating software wizard but since I can't install anything on this computer, I'm curious to know if it is any different than what is currently available on the motorola.com website.

I got the update notice as soon as I registered the product (which I hadn't done until today after owning since April 20th). Make sure that you've registered your phone on motorola.com

It did not break root for me. But even if it does, others have said it's easy to re-root.
Just got it in Maryland this morning. I have been going crazy. But to be honest did three speed tests and 2/3 had barely better than what your showing; third was four times! Got it over the air. Nothing to write home about unless you are dowloading video I guess.... Still, I was in your shoes yesterday and going nuts. I decided to just wait and not try all the crazy download sideload stuff......pushed check for available updates and what do you know????

yes it does. superuser.apk will still be listed, but nothing can get root. i just used the old method of copying my su over to /osh before i ran the update, then copied it back after

No update here when i check Kies, says latest version is installed, which is 2.0.2.11071_128. Maybe rolling out gradually to different countries.

How did you update with your computer and using Kies or within the phone to update over the air?
After so many hard time with kies , because i was unable to update my phone .
I downloaded the xkf3 from www. samfirware.com and installed through odin. . i installed it and then went through setting to register for OTA ,i mean on the phone. this has got nothing to do with kies or my computer. Ater 5mins the phone notify me with new update and i pressed yes that was how i got it. You can forget kies . It is not reliable.
No joy for me. I'm on similar free firmware as well

Anyway like i did mentioned is a matter of luck. I did first tried from the begining to install ke1 through odin and the went back on phone to register on ota and then i got update message to install ke2 which idid. after that i treid ke7 with the hope to get the same messa but failed. i then insatalled the kf3 and the registered again for ota on the phone and i got the message update available voila.
can you post a screen shot of the build info (*#44336#)

I got a message about new firmware update available for my 3g international version (rooted) today. I was out of network connection when I saw it so I haven't tried downloading it yet. Any idea what it is? ICS possibly?

I think this update has been around for awhile. Kies is showing mine as having the latest firmware (LA2).
LA2 has been out for a few months now.
Buddies hurry check kies showing firmware update for our device...also ota of 207 mb available...

updated my tab.just few changes, new key tone and the keyboard has been changed.now its better.
the update is of 207 mb it shows stability improvements.
what's the version? is it 4.1.1 or stil 4.0.4?

Why does the update show up in Kies but not OTA for my P3113?
So far these are some of the mayor changes I have seen,new browser look,new power menu,new keyboard which seems way more convenient.
I tried multiple times to upgrade. It timed out at max 60% after 2 hrs and could not complete.Then I quit. Looks like the server is very slow.. at least for me. How much time it has taken for you? Anyone updated their tab in India? (I have 4Mbps ADSL connection and get a speed of 3.5Mbps). So I don't think it is due to internet connection.
I upgraded my tab 2 and I am in India. But the update was downloaded 2 days ago and I have a 16mbps connection.
Btw does anyone know what that slashed "i" symbol for in the notification area? I had a rooted stock rom with cwm 6 and I got couple of error messages while applying the uodate(cwm recovery works well), though don't see any other errors since. Don't know if the "i" symbol is related though. - EDIT - found out that symbol was there because I had turned off notifications.

what mode you tried to update ota or kies???
Try other way to update that is kies ie you tried ota or ota if tried kies.

I tried via kies, I was unable to get OTA update. Let me try again tonight..
Update: Updated in single try on Friday night through Kies. Was updated within a hour.
C'mon Samsung.......how much will you copy Apple (look at the new keyboard) ? Stop now and try to do some Innovations (you can).
Anyways, can I Flash it through CWM 6.0.1 ? Any risks ?

Ok...so not showing in OTA (may be cause Device Status is Modified). Anyways could somebody upload their downloaded OTA (update.zip) and share it with us? Don't want to download this huge 758Mb file (got slow Internet )
