Hi, I bought two Vibrants. The one operates differently than the other. The main thing is voicemail. When a voicemail comes in, the phone signals two different voicemail notifications (one regular voicemail & one visual). The other thing that happens is the phone won't open visual voicemail when the voicemail tab is pushed when in the "Dialer". It will dial the voicemail's number instead.
Can someone tell me how to fix both of these things? I'd like to only have a notification for visual voicemail and I also want visual voicemail to open when I open the voicemail tab in the Dialer.
Ok i've noticed that ever since i turned the phone on the (new voicemail) notification is on in the status bar. when i click on it it dials the voicemail but i have nothing in my inbox. The notification continues to stay in the status bar and i have done multiple resets already. any ideas guys?
I think it has something to do with visual voicemail. I know the problems is also on the HD2. Do you ever get text messages that have "129" on them?

Hmm i dont think i ever had a text like that. but i sent myself a voicemessage just to see if that would clear it up but instead i got a email, the visual voice mail notification, AND the regular "dial voice mail" notification and the "dial voice mail" is the one thats been stuck there.
I've had my DX since last June and have always used Youmail for voice mail. Whenever I received a voice message, I'd get the YouMail notification.
For the last few days, I've been receiving a notification from the stock voicemail app saying I have unread messages, which I don't.
Anyone aware of this bug?
I should add that I'm using ADW.Launcher on top of MotoBlur.
Have you tried actually checking your VZW voicemail? If someone were to "reply" to your voicemail without actually calling you, you could get a VZW voicemail.
I would also recommend going in and making sure that there are no new voicemails in there
Judging by the thanks you gave me... i assume you got it?? lol
I started using Google Voice for my voicemail. Seems to work OK. But I miss having an obvious visual cue on my homescreen that there is new voicemail. Do I have to periodically run Google Voice and look for messages, or is there someway to get an obviouis notification on my homescreen?

I also do not get any notification of voicemail, but I don't think I'm using googlevoice as to get my voicemail I have to call myself. First thread I found about a similar problem to mine, still researching...
You need to download the Google Voice app. It will do everything you ask for and more.
I've been using this visual voicemail that registers an icon when someone has left me a voicemail....it is not working properly lately and I have been missing a lot of voicemail because there is not a real time voicemail icon being left. Is there a better voicemail service that you guys use?
