if I buy a German ONE, I wonder whether I can flashing the rom of USA one here,
thanks all!!
The european models have less memory. you cannot flash USA rom on the european models. There is a separate forum for the HTC Leo.

yes you can.
Its the other way that doesnt work, you cant flash euro roms onto tmous phones, but our euro phones will happily run tmous roms. Thats how we get our RAM unlocked to the full 576, , ,by flashing tmous roms and radios.

hey i recently purchased a tmobile branded htc leo the 1024leo for tmobile usa. I wanted to flash an official unbranded rom. Anyone know any that will work i downloaded RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_1.48.405.2_Radio_Signed_15.28.50.07U_2.05.51.05_2_Ship.exe
thinking it would work but after reading that not all roms work i realized this might not be compatible. So if anyone knows any unbranded roms that work tell me plzz. also any way can sim unlock the phone by flashing or using some software cuz im on att and i really wanna use this phone
there is no "official unbranded rom" for the tmo us HD2. You can download many different customized rom that is available such as the HD2.0 UnOff Series if you want unbranded. for unlocking please use search there is already a thread about that.
i don't know about that rom, but i always follow this rule when i download any roms:
PLEASE READ ALL THE INFORMATION IN THIS GUIDE BEFORE INSTALLING HARDSPL OR FLASHING A ROM/RADIO. IF YOU FLASH AN INCOMPATABLE ROM OR RADIO ON THE 1024LEO THEN THERE IS A POSSIBILITY OF BRICKING YOUR DEVICE SO PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL!!
Not all ROMs are compatible with 1024LEO, including old official ROMS.
Official 1.42 and 1.66 WON'T WORK on LEO1024, because there is no 1024 NAND memory support.
All custom ROMs which ARE NOT BASED ON 2.08+ T-Mobile ROMs WON'T WORK ON 1024LEO.

and this is the rule for radio

it was just an suggestion about the rom, and shawnamin should have read the "[TUT] Flashing your First GSM USA 1024LEO ONLY!! (For Noobs)" and that would have given the answers for flashing roms.

flash that rom, your phone will permanently brick. (A real case where saying brick means brick)

no there isn't. Buy one online or get one from tmo are your only options.
ok thanks so much guys i just put the new tmobile rom on it from tmobiles website.

Heh, wise move.
Your tmous phone cannot take ANY official roms at all, except for the tmous official roms, or tmous compatible cooked roms. All other official roms contain a radio that will kill your phone permanently.
Moved as not ROM Development.

Hi,
Very well indeed.
Regards, ansar.
Model #: PD29100 (DE/UK), PD29110 (US)
Passed FCC: PD29110 YES
O2 Germany/UK, T-Mobile Germany/UK, T-Mobile USA
Thread cleaned.
HD 2 discussions must be in HD2 forums.
Stay on Topic please.
Can this be applied to a US TMobile HD7?
Unfortunately the US version of the HD7 only ships with an English keyboard and i would like to have a ROM on there that supports multiple keyboards/dictionaries.

No , we first need a HSPL/"Goldcard way" to do that.

If it days t mobile on the top its the 1024 version, very high chance you have the eu 512. Any radio above 2.10 should enable the 512 but just read the guides, simple to install
No it doesnt have any T-mobile on it.So i should install whatever radio i want?

no.
Flash the 2.15.00 radio on it for best performance IMO.
some people report better battery life with 2.12.50

You at least don't have to worry too much about a radio bricking your HD2. Only T-Mobile USA models are instabrickable by flashing a wrong radio.
If you really, really want to be sure, check your model identifier while in bootloader. It'll be near the top of the screen and should be PB81100. On T-Mobile USA HD2's, the model identifier will be PB81120.

That page, while informative, answers absolutely none of OP's questions in its current form.
It doesn't contain any warning about flashing non-576MB RAM enabled radio's to TMOUS HD2's, only a vague warning not to flash a 512LEO ROM to a 1024LEO. It doesn't mention WP7 at all.
Reading through the stickies in relevant forums is probably a much better place to start right now.
hi
I bought my phone from USA unlocked T-Mobile and now I live in Finland.

If what you mean is flashing a ROM onto your phone then clearly seen as the actual phone is a T-MOUS phone you should use T-MOUS version.
yupp thats what i mean...
thanks

The TMOUS version has 576 MB RAM, 1 GB ROM, compared to 448 MB RAM, 512 MB ROM on the EU version so you can use ANY ROM - Just make sure that you set the System partition to the right size!
Hope this helps
So i was just playing with two HD7's that i have with HSPL loaded. And because i am a little crazy like that i decided to try and flash the RUU_Schubert_O2_UK_3.04.206.01_Radio_5.66.09.21a_2 2.48.50.21_Signed to my TMOUS HD7 (PD29110).
Well...it worked, radio reports 5.66 and rom is O2. UPDATE: Sort of, radio has reverted, I have converted this thread to debranding the TMOUS HD7.
So...does this mean i can now access the same radio bands as the UK version, i.e. the 900Mhz band that is missing from the TMO version.
I bought this to use in Australia where we have the 900 and 2100 bands, my old HD2 worked fine with just 2100 but i just thought maybe the radio is what tells the chipset what bands to use.
Either way this is a succesful test of flashing a non TMO rom to a TMo HD7.
Let me know your thoughts on this..
now to load RUU_Schubert_hTC_Asia_WWE_1.57.707.02_Radio_5.52.0 9.16_22.33a.50.10
as unbranded rom (after removing the spl.nzb of course) to unlock then upgrade to nodo and then to mango
Yep that's what the Hard SPL is for. But you were very brave to flash a rom that has a radio for another model of HD7 you could have had a brick.
But no you can't access the other bands.

brave or stupid lol my heart was beating fast as i watched my hd7 possibly being bricked. but alas not only was it not bricked but it now has new radio and an asia wwe rom to make it nice and generic.
UPDATE
so the radio is now back to 5.65, not sure if i missread (probably) or it reverted back during the "genericing" process.
I can confirm however that the debrands the tmous hd7 and all works as expected.

The Radio has nothing to do with the frequencies. This is a hardware limitation, not software.
GOSH I just dare flashing between Asia ROMs (707 and 728) Mine is Taiwan's 707 and flashed a SingTel branded (manually unbranded of course) 728 and using Cina Unicom 3G and worked well.
Yeah I was not sure if the hardware chip was actually physically different or not but the biggest win is the lack of op logos, just how I like it next job is to pull it apart and start customizing my first wp7 rom :-D
Sent from my HD7 T9292 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
