If it days t mobile on the top its the 1024 version, very high chance you have the eu 512. Any radio above 2.10 should enable the 512 but just read the guides, simple to install
No it doesnt have any T-mobile on it.So i should install whatever radio i want?

no.
Flash the 2.15.00 radio on it for best performance IMO.
some people report better battery life with 2.12.50

You at least don't have to worry too much about a radio bricking your HD2. Only T-Mobile USA models are instabrickable by flashing a wrong radio.
If you really, really want to be sure, check your model identifier while in bootloader. It'll be near the top of the screen and should be PB81100. On T-Mobile USA HD2's, the model identifier will be PB81120.

That page, while informative, answers absolutely none of OP's questions in its current form.
It doesn't contain any warning about flashing non-576MB RAM enabled radio's to TMOUS HD2's, only a vague warning not to flash a 512LEO ROM to a 1024LEO. It doesn't mention WP7 at all.
Reading through the stickies in relevant forums is probably a much better place to start right now.

Click to collapse
Yes, the main rom is the wm portion, but the radio also comes in rom format for flashing purposes.
- Does they both have Cooked versions ?

Click to collapse
No, the wm roms have cooked versions, the radio roms are normally just extracted from official roms.
- Being Locked or Unlocked to a specific network, to which ROM does this relate ?

Flashing roms does not impact on the locked/unlocked status of the phone.
- Do i have to Flash both .. or as my needs ?

Flashing the rom or radio is up to you. Depending on which rom you choose, some roms do require a specific radio version.

I see you have gotten this information .
- How can i know if it is up to date ?

Go to HTC.com and enter your serial number. As you got your device from the US, you will have to check up there as the devices are area bound wrt updates.
- When do i need to upgrade [Flash a new ROM] ?

That is up to you, there is no "must" update.
- How can i know the most suitable cooked WM ROM and Radio ROM to flash instead of mine ?

A matter of personal preference. wrt radios, try a few different ones to see which one works best for you.
- Will my phone stay unlocked .. OR will it become locked to T-Mobile again ?

As above, flashing does not affect the locking\unlocking, so it will remain unlocked.

I'll wait to see if the battery still drains fast
what about changing the Stick together Splash Screen >>> can i get ride of it ?
just a warning..... it sound like you have a tmous, therefore you ned to be careful what you flash.
ONLY flash roms or radios from the following section.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=631
or from the htc tmous website.

TMOUS = T-Mobile USA
spl 2.10.0000 can't be hspl'd, you'll need to downgrade your rom again so that you can get spl 2.08.0000.
Oh Oh
the newer version was laggy any way (responding very slowoly) ... and its touch senstivity is extremely bad
so i'll try to down Grade tomorrow after comming back from my eXam :S
where can i find 2.10.531.1 ??
if any body needs it

hey i recently purchased a tmobile branded htc leo the 1024leo for tmobile usa. I wanted to flash an official unbranded rom. Anyone know any that will work i downloaded RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_1.48.405.2_Radio_Signed_15.28.50.07U_2.05.51.05_2_Ship.exe
thinking it would work but after reading that not all roms work i realized this might not be compatible. So if anyone knows any unbranded roms that work tell me plzz. also any way can sim unlock the phone by flashing or using some software cuz im on att and i really wanna use this phone
there is no "official unbranded rom" for the tmo us HD2. You can download many different customized rom that is available such as the HD2.0 UnOff Series if you want unbranded. for unlocking please use search there is already a thread about that.
i don't know about that rom, but i always follow this rule when i download any roms:
PLEASE READ ALL THE INFORMATION IN THIS GUIDE BEFORE INSTALLING HARDSPL OR FLASHING A ROM/RADIO. IF YOU FLASH AN INCOMPATABLE ROM OR RADIO ON THE 1024LEO THEN THERE IS A POSSIBILITY OF BRICKING YOUR DEVICE SO PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL!!
Not all ROMs are compatible with 1024LEO, including old official ROMS.
Official 1.42 and 1.66 WON'T WORK on LEO1024, because there is no 1024 NAND memory support.
All custom ROMs which ARE NOT BASED ON 2.08+ T-Mobile ROMs WON'T WORK ON 1024LEO.

and this is the rule for radio
IMPORTANT: Do not flash ANY Radio before 2.07.x or the 2.09.51.03 Radio or you could damage your phone!!

it was just an suggestion about the rom, and shawnamin should have read the "[TUT] Flashing your First GSM USA 1024LEO ONLY!! (For Noobs)" and that would have given the answers for flashing roms.

no there isn't. Buy one online or get one from tmo are your only options.

Heh, wise move.
Your tmous phone cannot take ANY official roms at all, except for the tmous official roms, or tmous compatible cooked roms. All other official roms contain a radio that will kill your phone permanently.
Moved as not ROM Development.
Hi fellows,
I searched a while but could not find a solution for my problem...
I am using a HTC HD2 branded and "locked" by T-Mobile Germany.
Using my S/N I can not download original HTC-ROMs.
So my only option is using TMO-Roms from their website... :-/
I want to install NAND-Version of Android because WinMo is so embarassing. Especially the "Marketplace" is really NOT good... -.-
I tried to follow the manuals on your pages, but I can not find a hint for my problem...
Do I have to "break" anything to get any other Rom running?
I found sth. called "GoldCard" but... oh my god... Very complicated!
I hope you guys can help me.
It would be awesome.
Thanks a lot!

Hspl4, choose 2.08.hspl
can now flash anything, but use USB, not SD.
you will want to change radio first as things needed for android require high version radios. Go for 2.15.50.x radio.
If your current winmo rom is version 3.14 you wont need to change radio.
I've the same phone:
HD2 HTC with german t-mobile software, but it is not branded on the cover.
Also it says it has 512mb of rom and 448 of ram
SO I think it should be the EU HTC, and i should use rom and guides for the EU version
Can someone pleas confirm me it is the european version?
I don't want to brick my phone the first time i change the rom ahhaah
search the hd2 nand android forums and there should be a sticky for it
hi
I bought my phone from USA unlocked T-Mobile and now I live in Finland.

If what you mean is flashing a ROM onto your phone then clearly seen as the actual phone is a T-MOUS phone you should use T-MOUS version.
yupp thats what i mean...

The TMOUS version has 576 MB RAM, 1 GB ROM, compared to 448 MB RAM, 512 MB ROM on the EU version so you can use ANY ROM - Just make sure that you set the System partition to the right size!
Hope this helps
Been out of the HD2 forums for sometime so bit rusty & out of touch.
I have manged to get hold of a T-mobile HD2 & would like to know if I can put a standard WWE ruu 6.5 on if I need to go back to windows for w/e reason?
I do intend to put Andriod on due to the extra memory on the T-mobile version.
Thanks
If you mean a t mobile USA (tmous) then NO!! Never ever flash an unbranded or non tmous branded) rom. Tmous will ONLY take tmous branded roms, otherwise the radio in regular roms will brick it.
However yes its simple to go back from android to winmo stock.

As far as i am aware it's a UK t-mobile thats been sim unlocked.
Will this make any difference? How can i tel if it's a tmous or not?
Ta
Ah that's different, only tmous (green send red end keys) are affected by radio brick. (Well, normal flashing risks apply, of course, but there's no rom that can brick your phone just by flashing it.)
The confusion is your post 1 mentions extra memory(edit see **), , that's tmous only. Your phone is a regular hd2, rom locked to t mobile. (Not connected to sim unlock, it will always be rom locked to t mo, so your stock roms will be "HTC Leo UK tmo 1.43, 1.72 and 3.14.
The tmous can be considered a slightly different phone than the rest of us have.mines o2 UK, same as yours but different rom lock. Everything's the same tho, dead easy to go back to stock, various ways to do it should you need to.(I wont 1,2,3 it, go read the tuts and stickies)
Edit ** I assumed you meant 1024 rom instead of 512, but maybe you mean the ram, 576 vs 448, well that extra 128 is actually there in our phones, you just don't get to use it in the stock roms, it requires a tmous spl and radio to unlock it,, android will see and use it, you don't need to do anything.
