sprint Brick! freezes at yellow screen

I just tried to do the 3.16 update via dcd's instructions and now I see this, frozen at the sprint splashscreen. I tried a hardreset
I got until step 3 -- Flash new ROM, it went through no problems
WHAT TO DO!?
PLEASEe HELP <3 thanks in advance!

read..why flash a rom if you cant read?!
if i remember correctly, it is because dcd's rom doesnt include the new sprint radio.
either flash the sprint radio by itself, or flash the unofficial sprint rom followed by whatever ya want after that
of course it's gonna be a pita since you didnt do your research beforehand. tsk..tsk...

SOLUTION
Actually I think you did everything right...
... you just overlooked the same thing that I did ...
The instructions are a bit vague on one thing (for those of us who haven't done much rom flashing before)
You must load the new radio BEFORE your new rom will even boot!
----------that is why you are hanging on the yellow Sprint boot screen------------
1. This means you need to go back into "boot loader mode" (hold power and camera and reset with stylus)
2. Then run titan_radio_3.27.00.exe while your phone is hooked up via USB)
After that finishes you should be rockin with the rest of us!

Updating ROM

I couldnt' seem to find the answer to this but...
If I were to update a custom ROM on my phone (for example from version 1.1 to version 1.2), do i have to perform a hard reset before flashing or just enter into the bootloader screen and flash the new ROM onto my phone?

You don't need to hard reset before flashing another ROM. Why would you? And you normally don't need to enter bootloader either. That usually does that automatically.

if u r updating ur rom 1st time than u hav to 1st install spl and ipl than rom and than supported radio
its long process for 1st time
and if u done anything wrong u will brick ur phone

Can't flash my HTC TD2

Hello XDA-ers.
I've flashed my phone with the new ROM from the htc website.
And today i wanted to put Dutty's ROM on it, but it wouldnt flash.. the update would get stuck on 0% and then nothing happens for 20 minutes..
I also tried the udK_Lea_R5_MW6.5_WWE rom but the same thing happened.
Is there something wrong with my phone?

You need to use Hard-SPL.
READ THIS and follow instructions!

Simple things first:
Have you run HardSPL? (Latest version is required, 1.83 at time of writing).
Have you tried loading into Bootloader manually before attempting to flash? (Hold VolDown when powering on).
If those fail, try and identify what has changed since you flashed the original ROM.

Aaah didnt knew i needed HardSPL..
First time i flashed my ROM it immidiatly worked =p
Thought that ROM screwed my phone in ever being flashed again .

Need HELP ASAP! Max Sense ROM error.

I had flashed the Energy ROM and all the steps went well and the ROM was installed on the HD2 (TMo).
I then downloaded the Max Sense ROM and then it installed 100% but in the end gave me an error message. I went back to the Energy ROM and now it loaded fine but now on boot, it is stuck on "Internal Error". I tried a soft reset and a hard reset but it is simply stuck there. I cannot go past the message box. Please help.

Task29 and Flash it again, btw what radio version is on your phone , and which Energy ROM , You should always include the following info when asking about ROM problems, helps troubleshoot,
ROM date/build/flavor(know this Max Sense) and Radio Version...
also you really should have posted this in the Energy ROM thread .... the Main one not the one here, the one in the Leo section ...
Task 29>Flash Rom>Flash Radio>Hard Reset on First Boot
That is a good procedure to use when flashing a new ROM, of course flashing the Radio is optional, but doesn't hurt ...

hi guys.
at first i should say:excuse-me for my bad English
1:i root my hero successfully
2:i flash the froyo2.2 rom version 1.2.1 successfully
i install an app and then i restart my hero
and now problem is starting...my hero cant boot itself
i hard-reset it/but this way cant help my hero to boot itself/
what should i do now with my hero?

Flash a different (or newer version) of a custom rom. Sounds like something went wrong.

in this situation can i flash another rom?
anybody suggest any way?whit flashing new rom it will be done?

Yeah, what BTDAG said.
Turn it off,... Turn back on into recovery (HOLD HOME + POWER) then flash a new ROM.
It may have been that your download corrupted, you could just try downloading the same ROM again or try another.
