I've installed this value added installer and it changed my whole phone to arabic. How do I get it back to english?
well the only way to solve the problem is to install the whole rom.. i.e. rom in english.. if thats difficult you can live with two lnguages.. in programs go to multilingual support.. unclick disable multilingual support then set ur language to English with arabic support

Don't panic mate. You can still return some english parts of it but not all. Try this first:
1.) Go to the Settings tab (that's the last tab in the slider, far right after the footprints tab)
2.) Count 10 from the very top of the settings and click it.
3.) From there Choose the 1st menu and try to choose english from the 1st drop downlist.
If this doesn't help just try to download this stock rom:

That happened to me before, i have managed to put back some english parts but still it's irritating if you cant understand something that you are seeing on your phone. I have managed to restore my stock rom back then.

well I've installed the value added installer and it did turn my phone to arabic,
disabling Arabic suuport means you're back to zero. however, you just need to change a few parts and all of the English interface will be back:
enable English with Arabic support from the multilingual support option, you'll find it in Misc in the settings tab, or in system in the winmo settings page (that's whn you click menu>all settings when you're in the settings tab).
now soft reset.
go to the settings tab again and choose locale and text > Regional. Personally I set it to UK because it's quite closer to what I use but if you want more advanced options, go again to winmo settings choose system and then regional, you'll be able ro maually adjust each value, even choose how the date will appear: Arabic, English names in Arabic, or plain English.
soft reset and you're good to go

note that the value added installer will be automatically installed whenever you hard reset, which means you'll have to do these all over again, a better idea is to install some of these backup programs which will restore the mobile to it's state at the time of the backup.

However installing skype... leads me to a japanese version of skype... Whatever I do... Whcih is reallya pain for me !

I've installed Skype on my X01HT now twice, once with the JasJam rom, and once with the new Softbank Rom, using Askuls hack.
The key is that I downloaded the CAB file directly from Skypes site, and then executed it on the phone after transferring it to the card. If you're having trouble getting to the english version of the skype site from in Japan, just scroll to the bottom, and select the english language version of the page. It took me awhile to find it, but you'll eventually get the language of the page, and program of your choice. Good luck!

Unfortunately that's what I did (get the cab from my PC, on the English website)
Anyway if it worked for you, it should work for me
So I am going to give it a try once again ! (And check each step this time !)
Skype CE is multilingual application, no matter what you install, it seems to check your localization settings on startup and change language according to it. On my x01ht I had to open Skype in Japanese and than change language in Skype options...
It should not be hard, just follow these steps (I assume no WiFi available):
1. Open Skype
1a. If you get warning that you can only use cellular network, accept it (I don't remember which button, try left)
2. Sing in with your username and password, tap サインイン button
3. Confirm WiFi not available windw (OK)
4. Go to menu (メニュー)
5. Go to setup menu (設定 (E))
6. Select English language in language menu (言語), confirm OK, OK
7. Exit Skype, menu (メニュー), exit (終了(G))...
At next Skype start, everything should be in English...

yesterday i hardreseted my BA and since then i have not been able to change the softkeyboard to the german layout.
i changed the registry entry "layout" in HKLM\software\oem\querty to 132105 but even after about 40 softresets nothing changed.
whats especially strange is that pcmkeyboard though i chose the azerty/quertz layout is also querty.
is there anything i forgot? as far as i remember the registry trick worked fine last time.
(i am using sundreams wm6.1 rom)

you need to search download and isntall this:
1.- Netcompact frameworks v3 (or newer)
2.- Advanced Config v2 (or newer)
3.- Searching time
hope this works... cause advanced config change the keyboard to many other lang i use qwertz cause my keyboard is german.
Did you get the german keyboard somehow?
I still use the patch from ZakMcRofl, it switches the hardware keyboard to german and adds an additional German soft-keyboard. It would be better to have the standard keyboard switched to German, though, instead of adding an new one.

It works, but as I wrote it would be better to use the standard keyboard in german. Now I have two soft-keyboards: english and german. Is there a solution without installing the .Net v3?
i get an error when installing netcfv35.wmmarv4i.cab. do i have the wrong file?
the installation runs until the end and then the following error appears (of course in german... though my rom is in english):
Installationerror.
Shut down all tasks and processes, maximize the available storage and run the installation again. supportinformation: 3
after pressing ok the normal "you have to restart the device to complete installation. ok to restart, cancel to continue" message is displayed.
but netcf is not installed
i choose to install it on the device.
are there seperate version for different languages? link to english and german version?
when you set the hardware keyboard to another language, exit the registry editor, then turn off the device with the power button (not softreset, not hardreset) turn it back on and THEN softreset.
I did that a few hours back and it worked like a charm.
The Device first has to write the contents into the database, it is NOT immediately saved after you exit the Registry Editor.
I found that one out after I restored my Blue Angel to an older ROM after I tried WM6.5 by xplode.
My Messages went missing after I restored them and made a softreset.
When you restore something, or change something in the Registry, it gets saved in RAM, but not written until you set the device to sleep and wake it up again.
no sorry still the same problem.
i tried to change it to the french layout and even after sleep, turn on, softreset the reg value is really the one for the french layout but still its querty nothing else...
it's like the rom is using another registry value, no matter what i write in there nothing changes

My LEO has english ROM and Its obvious that all of the apps and stuff is in english - and thats fine for me - i want it that way.
But when typing a message I would like my LEO to use polish language dictionary (useful to Spell Correction, to Word Completion
[XT9] and so on).
I know that it is possible to set different language for text input, but when I open the list of languages to choose from, I see: german, french, etc. but NO polish;/
Does anyone know how to deal with this? How to get polish lang on the list?

click AvailableLanguages and add 0115 to the end of the value like:
0109,010C,0107,0110,010A,0115
then go to

and add a new String value named 0115 with a value of PLlsUN_xt9.ldb
then go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Tegic\eT9\Sip\LanguageKeyBoardIDMapping
and add a new String value named 0115 with a value of 0915
reboot your device...

but I haven't tried so I'm not sure..
Also not sure CZ is in there.. there's no .ldb file with CZ or something.. any ideas what it might be called? I think the code should be 0105.

I opend text editor right after rebooting my device. I set language to Polish, turned word prediction on and started typing. I entered 1 word and clicked space button to start typing second word. And from this moment my device is not responding (I had to perform restart). I tried it for about 5 times - always thesame reaction.
So I performed hard reset, set device language to Polish (previously i had English). When my Leo was ready I changed the registry according to Your instruction and restarted the device. From that moment my Leo is restarting all the time long. I had to remove the battery and do the hard reset to make it work again.
Do You know what could cause the problem?

I just checked to add Polish but it works perfectly for me.. maybe check your spelling with the .ldb file and check if the file is present in the windows folder.. is it an original ROM?
When you set your device to polish (multi language device??), did you check if the dictionary was maybe already there before you changed the registry? A polish device should have a polish dictionary standard you should say..
Well it works (wejdz w jakies pole textowe->klawiatura->trojkat przy klawiaturze->ust wprow texty->wlacz sprawdzanie pisowni) type kocham then press it to keep it save on word list then type koham and you should be able to choices between both words. Correct one will be at center in order to press space to accept(space soft key).
Unluckly you have to type words by your own to have it in xt9
It loock like not all language could be activatet.

I have a touch 2 mega from Taiwan, I want to change system language to English but i can not. Can someone show me the path to change language by icons.
One more question. I think that the operation system got some error, OS stop working after 10-15 minutes. I have reset it several time, but still not fix that error. So, i must reinstall OS again or just update ROM?

try this... SETTINGS >> SYSTEM >> MULTILINGUAL SUPPORT >> there are 2 tabs here.. control and about.. in the control tab.. check the "disable multilingual support" on the upper part of the control tab.. restart.. thats it..

I saw in user guild that there are two system languages in my phone English and Taiwanese( i guess that because i see 2 tabs English and 臺灣 in the end of user guild) . I can not try SETTINGS >> SYSTEM >> MULTILINGUAL SUPPORT... because my phone system language is Taiwanese now. Can you show me the path in icons.
I also can not post the message error because it's also in Taiwanese.

So I couldn't find a thread about this issue, I hope you guys can help me.
Every time i open the stock camera app, and then go to "pro" mode, the app instantly crashes. I wrote a report to the developers of MIUI with the dedicated app but I don't think they'll answer me.
I'm using the pro mode a lot so it's a huge problem for me.

Clear data for camera, restart phone and check. If still the same do a backup and reset ROM. For me MIUI 11.0.1 global pro works fine. You could post it in 9t pro forum also as I don't know if cameras are the same for pro and normal ver.

Possible solution:
If your phone language is not English: Set phone language to English and open Pro mode in Camera app. If working, reset language to yours and it should still works.
EDIT: Seems like you need to keep "English" language to make it work...

I have the exact same problem . I changed the phone langage to english (from french ) and it worked , no more craches or bug report . But as soon i changed back to french and went to pro mode it craches again though . I tried with other language settings and it seems the pro mode work only when the phone is set in english .

So yeah English works fine, the pro mode is not crashing anymore, but I'm Hungarian, even the keyboard layout is different and for some reason I can't change it when the phone language is English.
And I've been using features I can only use with Hungarian language settings. I hope they can fix this, this is not the first time I've encountered problems with the software.
I've also tried resetting the camera app, restarting multiple times, deleted GCam (I couldn't even use any of the versions, it kept crashing).
So I've tried just about everything, the next thing I'll try is resetting the phone. Until then maybe someone finds a permanent solution.

You can go to Additional settings > Languages & input > Manage keyboards > Settings > Languages and install Hungarian and so this will turn up on the space key for you to longpress to switch.
