I'm using the Desire in my car with a Parrot 3100 carkit.
Phone call work perfect, but A2DP is not working. (Because the parrot doesn't have a A2DP profile ?).
However, on my previous WinMo (HTC S740) i had a small tool that forced A2DP to work.
Is there something for the Desire that can force the phone to send audio trough BlueTooth to the Parrot 3100 ?

Is their a way, through the registry or elsewhere (short of re-pairing) to enable two bluetooth headsets and then switch between which one is the headset profile for the XDA II? I have the Parrot CK3000 bluetooth handsfree kit in my car which, after the recent software release, is working great. However, it's hard to take with you when you leave the car. I would basically like to pair to both it and my SE HBH-65 headset and be able to switch between the two as the active headset when I am in or out of the car. Ideally, a small program I can run from the Today screen would be best.
Any help?

Hello,
Apparenlty does the bluetooth carkit Nokia CK-7W supports all bluetooth phones that have BT Handsfree profile.
Does the qtek support this Bluetooth Handsfree profile or does it supports only the headset profile.
or are they the same BT profile?
Thanks
sorry....
You wonn't be able to use it....although you can pair it the profiles don't match.
I own a bluetooth Nokia CK-1W carkit (has the same problem) and it's been difficult to use with my Qtek.
But for now i can receive calls via carkit. Better then nothing at all (if you don't want to remove the carkit).
You must install the Pocket Bluetooth Tools http://www.angeltowns.com/town/bluetooth/
Install it and delete any paired device you have.
Pair up with the carkit and select HEADSET profile.
Then, when the phone rings, bluetooth turns on automaticaly and pairs up with the carkit, then you press the Nokia button and talk.
It works for receiving calls through loudspeaker only.
I've contacted the author of the Pocket Bluetooth Tools and he already knows this bug and should be fixed next release.
Thanks for your answers.
Apparently this new nokia carkit has the pretency to be universal.
If the BTtools can help older carkits, I suppose we can expect that we may make this new one work with the qtek.
Or you can try the Ericssion HCB-30. I have that installed and it works everytime. Now all I need to figure out is how to boost the antenna power of the XDA unit
he HCB 30 works fine. I'm testing now a techart carkit.
Does any one have tested this nokia carkit?
This could be a very good alternative for BT carkits.
Has anyone got any suggestions regarding the following problem:
HTC Tattoo (UK Orange but flashed with stock ROM)
Nolia CK-1W Bluetooth in-car handsfree kit with Telemute harness(sound through car stereo)
Phone paired with system and connects perfectly every time I get in the car.
Outgoing calls work perfectly.
Incoming calls - mutes music on stereo, rings over stereo, pickup via phone or handsfree remote button NO SOUND from caller(though I can hear them on the phone speaker).
Seems to me that it's either a bug in the Bluetooth implementation on the phone or a setting I havent found. (It works fine with my Nokia E51)
Any ideas?
Thanks
Hi...!
I have the same Problems with my Nissan Car Headset from Factory with Android 2.1 and 2.2...! Similar Problems are with the HTC Wildfire and HTC Desire
I can connect the phone with the System, Phonebook reading, take calls and arrive calls but i cant hear anything (on both sides)
With my original Tattoo Rom 1.6 its working perfect and Audio Streaming too...
according to the German HTC Support the problem is well known and they are working to fix the problem... but i cant find other Android users with the same Problems except you
Why????
Thanks
Hi all
I have problems with my X10i and my Parrot CK3200 bluetooth handsfree carkit. They connect fine and there's no problem when I make or receive a call.
But I would like to play my mp3 files on the X10i and have the sound go through the CK3200 carkit and listen to the music over the carstereo.
But when I play my music, while connected to CK3200 with bluetooth, the sound comes out of my X10i's speaker instead of going through CK3200 and out through the carstereo.
Is there a solution to this problem???
Uhm.. Seems like the CK3200 isn't able to make use of the A2DP Bluetooth profile. Parrot is also not advertising with it and I also can't find any tech specs.
I have the MKi9100 installed. That one works flawlessly with X10 and Parrot is also advertising this functionality...
i also can't connect X10 with Alpine KCE-400BT to stream music to my car stereo. Other phones can wihtout any problem so the issue is X10 not the bluetooth module.

I just fitted a CC9060 Bury Bluetooth kit and it wipes the floor with Parrot gear, and even though Bury's website states its not A2DP compatible with android 1.6 it works flawlessley with X10 even allows you to change tracks on the unit and download the phonebook
As to the Alpine problem, just wait 2 weeks or so for the new 2.1 update that will include proper bluetooth 2.0 compatibility
Yeah, guess I have to wait for the update to 2.1 and hope that does the job...

Recently I flashed my HTC Leo with Android.
I am using the HTC Leo with a bluetooth carkit Parrot 3200 LS.
I would like to use the carkit for phone calls and for the sounds of GPS-software (TomTom navigator)
In Windows Mobile changing some Widcomm registry settings were enough to redirect a2dp-audio of the navigator to the carkit. There were dropouts, but that was not a problem (most navigators are talking to much).
After flashing the HTC Leo to a Android phone, I am using Sygic as navigator.
Sygic sends (like TomTom) messages to bluetooth devices that supports a2dp.
Because the carkit does not support a2dp, I need to redirect the a2dp audio to mono with an app called 'BT mono'.
That works but the carkit is switched permanent to Voice dialing.
After a call, it is switched off. Than it is necessary to restart the app.
Further it is not stable. Sometimes the carkit needs a restart.
I am looking for an app that redirects a2dp-audio to a a mono headset, but only when there is output.
So when there is a navigation message, the following should happen:
1. the carkit is switched to Voice dialing
2. a2dp audio is to redirected to mono
3. after the message the Voice dialing is switched off.
Any info is welcome.
Well we have got 2 cars with the parrot carkit installed.
On the oldest one bluetooth works fine on the newer one it always says 'connection failed'. I don't know why but it seems like the older the parrot is the better is works.
