So i've been installing different ROMs to my T-Mo Wing every since i found out it could be done....i finally found a ROM that works for me...which is the JustStable V2 Build 8....and i love it...but recently when i plug it up to charge or sync to my pc...the green, orange and blue LEDs start flashing randomly....sometimes it flashes bright and sometimes it flashes very dim...i tried hard-resetting and even going back to the stock ROM...still does it. Can anyone tell me what kind of problem is this....ROM?? HardSPL?? Or Hardware??

Hello,
Hope someone could help a new guy with a Sprint 6800. A couple weeks ago I noticed the blue led switched on overnight and has stayed on. At the time the phone was running the latest stock sprint rom.
I did the usual troubleshooting - hard reset, clean wipe, pulled battery, ran it w/o battery, and made sure no apps where affecting. I'm think its a hardware problem since when you pull the battery and install it - the led stays on even before WM6 loads. Took it to Sprint and got a bit of a run around - they want to send it in for repair for 2-3 weeks, opposed to replacing it (I have the protection plan). I can't live without it for that long so I'm dealing with it right now.
I did try a few other things - some apps to power leds off - they work great with the green, but not the blue. I also tried reflashing it with other user built roms, upgrading & downgrading he radio, etc with the hopes of triggering it to off or changing its state.
Anyone ever have this happen or know of a simple solution?
Thanks so much, anything is appreciated!
Tom
umm do you have blue tooth turned on?
even with BT on the LED should flash intermittantly, not be on all the time
i agree it sounds like a hardware issue, you shoudl be able to tell sprint you cant be without your phone for that long, they might give you a loaner (i had this done once with VZW)
Comm manager button on the side, under power button. Make sure bluetooth has an x on it.
ok guys actually two problems here:
1. my wizard works fin no problems at all until i go to use the keyboard for txting or emailing, sometimes its ok other times the screen goues fuzzy and then a lot of lines appear?? any ideas is it hardware or software problem??
2. ive recently tried flashing a new rom to my pda actually a few bu everytime i flash its the same rom that comes up as before ive hard reset after flashing also soft rest but its still the same rom any ideas?
Have you CID unlocked your device?
I'm having the exact same problem with my keyboard, although it doesn't *only* happen with the keyboard. Every now and then--more and more often now--the device just stops responding for five or ten seconds, and then the lines appear, and the screen fades completely white after a few more seconds. Sometimes it reboots itself, but not always. It never responds to any input after that.
It really sounds like a hardware problem to me, but I have no idea what to do to fix it. A friend of mine who is very much into (read: addicted to) ROM flashing said that a re-flash would solve the problem, and suggested I go back to an official ROM first, just to be safe. I did exactly that, and it did nothing at all to help the symptoms. I've gone so far as to start using a Blackjack II for the moment, because I can't deal with my phone locking up randomly all the time. Any help would be very appreciated.
I too have a similar problem, except its just with my screen that occassionally i get lines down the screen then it fades to white, putting it into standby and back on again gets the screen back. My device still responds however.
Sounds like hardware issue. I have come across quite a few threads with similar problems
yes my device is cid unlocked i used to have no problem flashing roms but now it just doesnt happen all it does it resets the standard rom and all the tmobile gumf loads up
**also does anyone know how to get rid of the tmobile stuff permanently?
This problem is pretty weird. I put a new LCD screen in my wing and have taken it apart 3 times to make sure the connection is good but the problem is that i flashed Hardspl and then microlabs newest rom and everything was fine for like a day then it started freezing up and then the screen would fade to white and have little lines across the screen. then it would restart on its own and sometimes wouldnt load, then i take the battery out and then it does it all over again. i have flashed OT7.7 to see if the rom was giving me the problem and still same thing. then i reflashed hardspl and just kept that running and same thing happend. also i have tired 2 different batteries and even does it when its hooked up to usb. im wondering if anyone else has had this problem as it is very weird and nothing i do seems to work. thx alot
PS im curious if its the screen but i dont think it would make it freeze and restart
Hi everybody, i have a "small" problem on my G4.
One day suddenly screen start becaming white with some vertical colored lines.
No respond.
Tried to HardSPL, SoftSPL, remove battery, flashing different ROMS, disassemble to check if any HW visible problem.
Sometimes this phenomena apper on splash screen (only solution is reset and/or remove battery).
Sometimes load everything, the stuff can be used until the "randomic" effect.
Screen color became lighter until the whole screen is white with some vertical lines. It takes several steps to go totally white, 1 or 2 seconds.
Do not know if it is related to the above mentioned problem but most of the time i plug-in and activesync do not "feel" the pda i connected.
(tried on two different PC, tried with activesync later release 4.5 and also previous 4.2 )
What the hell can be?
Is it bricked or maybe i can try something else?
I read other post with people mentioning the same problem, but up to know i found no useful answers.
Any help will be appeciated
Thanks
i have the same problem...
Its totally random when it happens, like i used the phone all weekend / yesterday without a hitch and now, i have restarted 5 times this morning... anyone else had the problem and sorted it?
hmmm this had happend to me but only on a certain ROM that i flashed before...
what i did was that i flashed another ROM again and this problem disappeared... ofc after hardspl'ing and following the procedures on how to flash a ROM properly...
maybe you should try to flash another ROM downgrade to NVID rom first then hardspl then flash what rom you like...
good luck
hey guys,
so i had the LCD screen replaced on my Nexus 4, and it seems the LED notfcation light doesnt work. I decided that it was a faulty screen, so i went back the shop i had it fixed, and the guy gave me a new a screen. This is Still happening. Lightflow does nothing, and even the few things that do use it without 3rd party apps dont work. now im on stock 4.4.2 with an unlocked bootloader. should a try flashing the stock ROM again to see it if will help?
regards,
LED has some problems on stock rom. Try CM11 or Purity, they even light up the LED when charging
