I have a nexus one running the froyo beta. I cannot send MMS messages. I've searched and tried everything, yet nothing works. I just can't seem to get the right MMS APN setting to be able to send an MMS on Orange Poland.
Looking in the log, it shows it trying to connect to whatever server I use and timing out.
I got it working
MMS
• Name of the configuration: Orange MMS
• APN (access point): mms
• User name: mms
• Password: mms
• Server: http :// mms.orange.pl
• Proxy server address: 192.168.6.104
• Proxy Port: 8080
• APN Type: mms
Internet GPRS
• Name of the configuration: Internet GPRS
• Data bearer: GPRS
• APN (access point): internet
• User Name: Internet
• Password: internet
• APN Type: default
That last line in the Internet GPRS section wasn't documented anywhere, but it totally fixed my problem.

Anyway, I hope between the messages its clear now?
Thanks again for filling in the blanks.
If anybody his using an unlocked Orange SPV C500 on T-Mobile UK could they message me. I can get the phone and SMS, GPRS Internet browsing to work but having problems with SMS. If I use the settings T-Mobile suggests (IP and Port) SMS works but not MMS; if I user another set of settings (IP and Ports) then MMS works but SMS does not get texts spontaneously only on reboot; T-Mobile have run out of ideas as not one of their phones.
Seems need to configure in the MMS section, the GPRS section and ?the Proxy section but getting confused as T-Mobile talk about Proxy and Ports but that can be entered in multiple places.[Current below]
Do I need to interface into WAP and if so how? Do I need to link to MMS networking which T-mobile seem to say I do not need to.
thanks
Paul

I would have thought your carrier should be able to send the settings to your handset if you call them. Certainly that's what happens here in the UK for Vodafone.
for any future HTC user from Kuwait
MCC:310 MNC:260 works!
for internet still working on mms
Note : Your phone will mostly receive these settings (Airtel Live and MMS) as soon as you insert the Airtel Sim for the first time. In case you didn’t receive those settings, you can edit your connectivity profiles with the following values.
Airtel Live APN settings
You can SMS as MASALA ACTIVE to 52121 to receive the settings which have to be saved as default. The values will be as follows:
Connection name: Airtel Live!
Data bearer: Packet data
Access point name: airtelfun.com
User name: None
Password: None
Authentication: Select Normal/secure as you see fit.
Note: Some handsets may not have the Authentication field.
Airtel MMS APN settings
You should get the settings for MMS too with the SMS sent as described above. If not, here are the values:
Connection name: Airtel MMS
Data bearer: Packet data
Access point name: airtelmms.com
Username: None
Password: None
Authentication: Secure or Normal as you see fit.
Airtel Mobile Office APN settings
This APN will be used if you have a Rs.98 GPRS plan with Airtel to access Internet from your phone (also called Airtel NOP) (link). The values are as follows:
Connection name: Mobile Office
Data bearer: Packet data
Access point name: airtelgprs.com
Username: None
Password: None
Authentication: Secure or Normal as you see fit
Strongly agree
Okay, so it took me some time to figure out that I had no MMS info under APNs.
But when I tried entering them today there were so many options under new APN I got lost
So, could anyone tell me where to enter these:
1. Profile name: TUS MMS
2. MMSC http://mms.tusmobil.si:8002
3. Connection Type HTTP
4. Proxy settings
Server IP proxy 91.185.221.85
Server Port proxy 8080
5. Data Account TUS MMS
Tried my best at translating them
Profile Name - TUS MMS
APN - TUS MMS
Proxy - 91.185.221.82
Port - 8080
Username - Blank
Password - Blank
Server - Blank
MMSC - http://mms.tusmobil.si:8002
MCC - Default
MNC - Default
Authentication Type - Default / Not Set
APN Type - mms
Protocol - IPv4
If it doesn't work, then, remove the Proxy Settings and add them to MMS Proxy and MMS Port. Hope it helps.
