Some speed questions

Hi all,
as everybody I am wondering what things I might do to speed up my small device.
-I have both Spb Pocket Plus 3.1 and Wisbar 2 to choose from as a task-manager.
-I would like to see the actual available amount of mem. so I know when it is time to do a soft-reset.
-I have Pocket Mechanic available. No doubles in the notification que.
-I have the Ext-Rom empty and available for use.
As I am installing the Task manager, would it be better to install it in the Ext-Rom then rather in the device-memory, would this change speed of the device ?
Which of the two Task-Manager (in its latest beta-version) is better to speed up the system, as I understand both do slow down. But which is worse ?
I did read the advice from craig in the sticky thread about our pda, but the information there is rather old already. Is it still bad to have task-managers show You the actual memory available ? and does this change the speed of the device ?

Started with the first one, and I think they are all good reads, so pls NO, for now I do not need any more references, I will be fine all day (or week ;-)

Hi friends..
I own an Orange SPV 3100..Over a period of time I am facing problems with its usage..I am going to post my problems I faced with it & some Queries of personalizing it...I request other SPV users to share this thread with their personal problems & not to litter here & there in the forum...This is my humble request to senior members to provide their experience to help [junior members like us] so that We can enjoy our ride of PPC world..

How to select more that one recepient in the contacts while sending sms
Hello friends & seniors,
This is a problem I am facing while sending SMS to my friends. The problem is that each time I can select only one contact at a time. I mean if I want to send SMS to more than one person I will have to select one by one not like Nokia & sony mobile phones where you can check the contacts more than one..I hope I have made myself clear..

Hello everbody again. This is concerned with the ROM updation of Orange SPV 3100. I want to know is there any WM6 rom available for the same model. Is there any issues as to to the upgradation of this PPC from WM5 to WM6. My front camera is not working becoz there is no 3G in my country. Is there any way to turn it on? Moreover is there any harm of softreset the Device. I mean till date I have soft reset my device for 68 times. I dnt know why I have to soft reset it but the performance is very low. Is there any way to increase the performance of PPC. My WM5 is not stable & shows lot of glitches.

problems with m3100
i myself have an m3100, unlocked and super cid. This meand i can flash and rom onto it. I also have hardSPL, which i think almost makes bricking impossible.
I would suggest you install hardSPL and make your devide super cid, by searching this site, then upgrade to windows mobile 6. There are many versions of it available, but the best i have used is probably TNT for its large free ram. This may solve your softresetting problem. I however soft reset every few hours purely to keep ym device running smoothly, and to undo the memory leakage [which is basically when programs use memory, then when they close, some of the memory they use isnt freed up, and over time this builds up, until you soft reset]
also i would install oxios close apps [google for oxios] after you ahve installed wm6. Then map it to a hardware button. This basically frees up memory that has leaked, but isnt as good as soft resetting, but is a lot quicker, so a good compromise.

Processes

i ask this whitin a rom thread but i've got no answer so i decided to open a new thread, maybe somebody would answer here
no matter what rom i use (6.5), when the phone starts following processes are loaded (among others):
- CommManager.exe
- AudioManager_eng.exe
- AlbumSearcher.exe
- tmail.exe
- JBlendDaemon.exe
- Opera9.exe
if i manualy close them, nothing wrong happens and the device works normaly.
can somebody explain what each of these processes does and if there is any way to stop loading them when the phone boots becase they eat a lot of memory and i belive they also lead to a longer boot time

i know is not realy rom related, but i started this on rom section because i imagined i have more chances to get answers there where guys dealing with infos like these are present, then in the general section where is most likely to be present beginners with HD
whatever, it seems that here nobody knows the answers

A - What you have to ask yourself is, "what type of phone do i have?" which of course the answer is an HD2. Now obviously your device has been reg tweaked to think that it is an HD7, so why would the update work? - To put it bluntly, no the update will not work for your HD2.

A - Change this reg key : HKCU/ControlPanel/Volume/MaxdBatten from 45 to 100
A - You can also change this key : HKCU/ControlPanel/Volume/MaxSystemUIvolume from 30 to 20 (this sets max volume to 20 not 30)

Q - How do i increase the in call volume, its set to max (10) but is still too quiet?
A - Change this reg key : HKCU/ControlPanel/Volume/MaxinCallUIVolume from 10 to 15 (15 is loud enough for me, be careful going much higher)

Q - How do I remove WP7 and get back to android?
A - Reboot device and enter magldr. Select opt 5 (usb flasher) and flash your desired nandroid rom. You will to reformat your sd card. Follow the very good guides in the android forum. For flashing to 6.5, enter bootloader and flash a stock rom (again you will need to format your card).

Q - The stock camera is shocking and quality is low, what can i do?

A - HKCU/ControlPanel/Sound Categories/Alarm/initVol - and change figure from 100 to 75 (or what ever you like but 75 is good)

A - try these settings on camera (switch back to auto for day shots) - SCENES - candlelight & FLASH - auto

internet sharing
two of the most wonderful features of the hd2 is that it allows internet sharing and it accepts 3rd party apps.
my ? is does flashing wp7 terminates these functions?
also can you dual boot win 6.5 and wp7?

[Q] Xdandroid on Blackstone

Hey everybody,I have Blackstone with FRX07.1 build and I want to know:
1-Is it possible to delete some of the home screens?
2-Youtube works BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD:
- Video doesn't work at all.
-The sound is really bad.
-If you close the app, all the video loaded will still play on the background.
Solutions anyone?
3-Some apps look like they "expired" or something, because I install them and after some time it doesn't open, just says that the process has stopped unexpectadly and it says to "Force close".Help?
4-Any tips to make the phone faster would help, I already use a sd booster and the done the settings arleady told to make the sistem faster( tips about overclock would be accepted)
