Anyone else have the same problem?
My phone when wifi is open goes slow sometimes! animation slow! typing is slow! and opera crashes a lot ...and manilla... i think is the cookie tab ! after hard reset and with out cookie no crashes from manilla... slow system remeans sometimes!! i think that.. when phone download data slow the system !!!
ANY IDEA ?

Well after 5 days of having this phone, it seems to have got very slow...
Going into messages and then opening the keyboard, the screen can just sometimes freeze.
When typing a message there is a good second lag from when I type it to it appearing on screen.
Also, ive noticed that pictures I take with the phone seem to be very pixelated on the phone.
Ive had 2 taskbars at once from opening and closing the keyboard.
Just in general the phones seems to going extremly slow. Panels take ages to open up when the panel button is pressed and take a good 3-5secs to load.
It seems like this phone/OS has a stupid amount of bugs that need to be sorted asap.
Anyone else got these problems?

or you experience issues I don't

well it was fairly quick and i was impressed at first.
but now this has just turned into the slowest and buggiest phone ive had

Disable threaded SMS view, it *should* get rid of the lag you speak about.
Have you tried a soft reset? Leaving the phone running non stop for 5 days will slow it down.

yep done. still seems slow...
is it because of some programs ive installed?
uh is this your first pda? I mean I asked because you said your x1 is slow. may we know its slow compared to what? if it is just slow. then I guess wm6.1 is just slow. Ialso have sim-free one. And have a few pda's from wm2003 to 5, 6 and 6.1 and yep the 6.1 is a bit slow.
Its slow compared to how it was when I got it 5 days ago.
However, i have just uninstalled:
Spore
2 tweak programs
Windows Live Panel
The phone is a lot faster now.
Before I was waiting at least 3-4seconds for messages to loads, the screen to rotate etc...
which tweaks were slowing you down?
yeah which one? might help us make ours faster too.
Have you installed touch flo? that screws up the X1's speed
Ok heres what in uninstalled. This has made the device a lot quicker (well, only as quick as default speed - as it was when the device was first used)

XperiaTweak 2.0
Some other tweak program, allowed you to change what animations ran etc. Can't remember its name. AdvanceTweak or something
After uninstalling these, it made the device as quick as it was when I first got it.
I haven't got any random roms or anything like that. Everything on the device is official.
No TouchFlo

Ive editied the registry to remove the O2 Panel but this hasn't made a speed difference.
is it possible that spore run on background, developing it's creature.
I too occasionally get 2 seconds freezes. Could it be some cache setting in Xperia Tweak ? Since I don't understand them much.
You can use task manager (I mean real task manager which show processes, it's in phone:\windows) to check what eats CPU and RAM.
I loaded my X1 full with apps and tweaked a little but it's as fast as after a hard reset
I've been having some serious problems with browsing the net as while opening some websites that used to be ok in the past, now the Opera explorer closes. If I try to do it again same thing happens and after that the phone seems to be unable to open Opera all together. Also before closing, it keeps bringing up the virtual keyboard again and again even tho I keep pressing "minimize"... is there a way to reinstall opera or sort this out in an easier way?

I have the same trouble, gets very annoying, especially when it wont load at all and you have to soft reset to get opera to load again. How can a company like HTC release a product with so many faults and problems, i think my htc days are coming to an end, no support from them, what a bunch of idiots. very disapionted. what could have been a great product has turned out to be quite crap.
come on guys somebody must know how to sort this out?!
Having the same problem but i reckon its a result of an app i may have installed...dont have a clue which one could be the culprit!!

Hey guys, any of you has intalled a replacement for the top bar? There are some UI improvements that are designed for the Diamond and not for the blackstone. As a result, you can't rotate the screen, and Opera gets minimized when you try to do that. I have this issue with a 'Vista-like' top bar.
I think that might have been it. I also had a vista like top bar which looked good and at first sight didnt seem to cause any problems but i guess there were some complications when it came to opera.
HD2 has lots of memory right.. so why is that im getting this messages when either i try sending a MMS or if i want to open camera or open picture gallery or other programs. .. why is that i have to load memory cleaner kinda often if this phone has over 500mb of memory... phone gets choppy and have to reboot... is it windows? i meant this thing is powerful specs talking...
im running BsB tweaks
no way i can use it a whole day without rebooting...... im a hardcore phone user tho.. but still .. hd2 has the balls for it

happened to me when i used opera 10. if you dont fully exit it, you will get that message. sucks because if i have like 5 tabs open and i need to do somthing else on my phone, i had to exit it and it'll reset browser with home page. one of the reasons i went back to 9.7
The problem is in Opera 10.
Soft reset mob and start camera...it will be all ok. Then start Opera 10 and close and then open camera...and it wont, he will say memory low.
Go back to Opera 9.7, Opera 10 isnt good enoght...wait for Opera 10.x

I used to have flash disabled in my browser using Eclair. I find flash jerky and slow on the Legend, not to mention the effect it has on the scrolling performance of pages.
Can I still turn it off?
The setting seems to have disappeared.

i was wondering if i could transition this thread into more of a general question of browser performance.
I haven't used the legend for a few months and loaded froyo onto it yesterday as my other phone is out of action. I was under the impression froyo was susposed to speed things up, but scrolling in the browser is still unresponsive and slow. a friend and i were trying to load up film session times - he, obviously, on an iphone - and it was embarrassing how much my webpage jumped around on a fairly graphics lite website.
I know a lot of you guys love this phone, but could I get some honest opinions: is this actually as good as it gets? Am I missing something? The phone is about as stock as it comes with the Vodafone AU froyo rom installed yesterday after a factory reset and the only apps being angry birds and astro.

There's a bug in legend froyo that will crash your stock browser on startup if you set plugin settings to always on or always off if I remember correct.
