Torrent-Fu and the incredible - Droid Incredible General

Has anybody gotten torrent-fu to work on the incredible? I'm new to android so it could very well be a setup error on my part, but I cant get torrent-fu to connect to my laptop. I've followed all the steps at "torrent-fu.com/getting-started" but I always get this error "409: Conflict. Your request had an invalid session-id header."
Also, I'm using Trasmission in Snow Leopard.
Thanks

Torrent-Fu Works Fine
Torrent Fu works fine on my incredible. Make sure you have the router port forwarding setup correctly. And I am sure you setup the torrent client webUI correctly too. If you are using uTorrent you have to enable web UI.
Unfortunately I was only able to use it for about an hour before the CPU fan died on my computer so I don't have a lot of time logged using it but I did confirm it worked through the VXW network.

win7 wifi with x10 using connectify?

I live on campus and I get internet through residence...
I set up connectify on my computer so that I can use Internet on my phone as well.
Has anyone tried this??
On my x10, it says it's connected, but I can't load any pages (Web page not available...says the browser) and when I look at the connectify panel, under Connected Clients - 1, it's got sony logo and says <Connecting...>
I'm not sure if it's because my wifi card doesn't support it? (but it says all do..hmm)
or if it's my phone? My phone's always had problem with wifi 'outside home'.. Like the only wifi I would be able to use would be a secure wifi through my home router. I haven't been able to connect to any 'public wifi' like at cafe or restaurants...
If anyone's used this and knows how to fix the problem it'd be great... thank you!!!
(or it could be that my school's lame and they block any internet connection through personal hotspots )
Same happened with me on my network. I have tried it on my friends laptop and it worked just fine but i wasn't able to connect using my own laptop( on my home connection which got a windows server machin ).
I'm just guessing it was caused by my windows server machin and some firewall setting that i couldn't adjust.
By the way i just the exact same problem as yours, phone keep showing that it's connected and couldn't open anything and Connectify keep saying connecting.
sorry for my bad english.
I had the same issue, it was a firewall thing. I emailed Connectify and was told
"At a minimum, DualServer.exe (ConnectifyNetServices.exe in 2.1 Beta 1) needs to be allowed to access the network, and ports 67 and 68 for DHCP, and port 53 (DNS), as well as 1317, 1318, and 1303 (internally used ports for DHCP and DNS), need to be open. Connectify 2.1 Beta 1 will try to configure Windows firewall to open all necessary ports."
Currently i have just disabled windows firewall and all works fine (I have a hardware firewall between me and WAN).
I had the same problem with my x10. It kept saying connecting. I contacted the developer, they asked me to use beta. I just installed beta and every thing is fine now...

this version didnt work for me but the 2.2 version works for me, My phone is Xperia x10 mini 2.1
Using HP Pavilion DM4, I can use connectify and my X10 gets internet access...not sure what's your problem though.
I use Connectify on my Win7 PC too, sometimes, out of the blue, while I am connected and loading pages, it stops, even though it is still connected.
I find that killing the app and the process on my PC and then opening the app again, fixes the problem.
Connectify is very buggy but incredibly useful when it works right, imho.

[Q] Not able to run any servers on phone running CM 6.1 RC2

I am trying to set up SwiFTP, but I have discovered that I can not run any server successfully. I've tried the Wireless File Transfer app as well as IP Web Cam and can not connect.
I have exhausted everything I can think of and it is driving me crazy. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
EDIT: I have tested SwiFTP with my roommates Droid X and it works perfectly.

it's an issue with cm 6.1 RC2. It becomes evident that nothing of the sort will work when you try to ping your phone from your computer. You will receive the destination host unreachable.
So is there a solution? Seems like it would be an issue for a lot of people. Obviously though, I don't expect everything to work in CM, but this seems like a little bigger issue than something like trackball wake.
For some stupid reason there is a firewall I'm guessing in the android OS that's blocking all incoming connection requests. We should have access to be able to configure this - since this is basically based off Linux right.
Bump...can anyone shed ANY light on this?

[Q] VPN Not Connecting

I've had my Verizon Fascinate since launch day, and I really love it. Aside from the slow roll-out of stock Froyo.... Anyway I am trying to setup a VPN from my Fascinate to my home network. I've tried using the built in Windows XP PPTP, which works fine with my G1 running Cyanogen, but after about 30-45 seconds, the Fascinate says it could not connect.
If I pull up the Event Viewer for System on the windows machine, I get a warning every time I try (and fail) to connect.
"The user connected to port VPN4-1 has been disconnected because the authentication process did not complete within the required amount of time."
This fails whether or not I'm on 3g or my own Wifi. I've not sure whats going wrong, and there's only 5 threads in the Fascinate forum related to VPN which aren't related to this issue.
Is PPTP broken on the Fascinate? Has anyone managed to get it to connect at all?
Thanks!
(I'm running my Fascinate stock, no root, only thing I've done is the OTA update a few months back)
I know your pain, I tried getting the built-in vpn client to roll but it gave me the same error message that you got. I tried "1 VPN" from the market and it worked and I was able to ping another pc on my network thru Windows PPTP server. But for my purpose I was unable to mount a Samba share over VPN

Thanks for the recommendation, I went ahead and downloaded the free trial APK from their website for "1 VPN" and tested it on my G1 (which works with the stock VPN) and it works fine. I side-loaded it on my Fascinate and tried the same credentials (verified with the G1) and got the same error.
Am I missing something here?
I updated to DL09 and this issue is continuing. However I no longer get the errors in the Windows event viewer as I did before. I am still able to connect to the VPN via my G1 with Cyanogen. When I successfully connect via my G1 I get an event message. When I attempt and fail with my Fascinate no error or message is logged. Any ideas?

[Q] Help please. Splashtop is just not connecting

Hi,
I just got my transformer, and am loving it. However, desperately missing the Splashtop streaming experience that so many people are raving about. Please help.
Whenever I try connecting, it says "Connect failed"
I have already enabled Splashtop Windows client in my Windows Firewall.
Also, I created a Splashtop rule (as mentioned on their site) to allow ports 6783-6785.
Have tried to seek help on their site, and in desperation turning to experts on XDA. Please help resolve this. In addition to the above, I am running a McAfee Antivirus that is enabled by the company admin, so I cant shut that...but I suppose that should be ok. Please please help...
Before 3.1, I had no issues. After, i'm having some issues sometimes too. I have to click it 2-4 times before it connects.
Don't know what happened. Nothing changed on my pc end. Wondering if it's a TF thing.
Does it work while on the local network? If so then its a port forwarding issue in your router or youre using the wrong address. If it doesnt work locally it is an issue w your splashtop server setup or windows firewall.

If via lan (inside your nerwork) u don't need to port forwarding. All u need to use is the ip address of that machine. Are u having issues inside or outside your network? I noticed on mines, when I get connect failed I need to stop splashtop client and then start it again. Here a weird issue Im having, if there was a session of rd (windows) on my server then after that I will always get failed error with splashtop. I need to either reboot that machine or use logmein to restart the software on the computer. For me, there an issues with splashtop and windows 7 rd.
It doesn't work for me within my home network. Is there a way to try and narrow down the problem, or test it differently?

Try downloading the free version in the market: https://market.android.com/search?q=splashtop&so=1&c=apps
If it works, you may have a problem with the Asus-installed version. If it doesn't work, it could be the "server" portion

Just checked out the free verison and the highest resolution is 1024× 768 which look like crap on the Tf. Unless the paid verison has a native resolution for the TF, I going to stick with the splashtop that come with the Tf
There's a bug with splashtop I think. I can't connect to my mac mini unless the monitor is on or plugged in. Maybe you should try that.

I'm pretty sure the answer is right here:
"In addition to the above, I am running a McAfee Antivirus that is enabled by the company admin"
You might want to chat with the company admin. If it's a work computer, 99.9999% of all admins will lock down ports to their IT Assets and there's not a darn thing you can do except get them to open it (small company) or get fired for trying to hack their network (large company).
If it's a work laptop maybe it might be on your side and something you can change but the vast majority of time the IT folks are going to close down company resources to avoid folks being able to do exactly what you are trying to do.
The splashtop desktop portion said there was an update so I installed it but now it only keeps me connected for a few seconds then it drops out. It also doesn't let me interact with what I'm seeing on screen. Anyone else run across this?
I have tried about everything I can think of to get Splashtop to work form outside ny home network:
Disabled firewall in Trend AV
Allowed Ports 6783-6785 in Trend
Turned off windows FW and allowed ports (three entries)
Turned off FW for UV modem
Allowed Ports in router (Lynksys)
And even tried disabling FW in router.
Thus at some point, all FW's were off, verified ip address (starts with 99, so correct one), used ipconfig to find IP of my computer too...
Whew... Any thoughts? Logmein works like S***, so I don't think I'll go there until they update it (or is the app better?)
Thanks!

[Q] VPN issues with AOKP4?

I use Cactus VPN to connect to their NL server to watch NFL games using Gamepass over PPTP. I have been able to connect just fine and it will work for a brief time. But as soon as I go to a website, it will begin to load the site for a second or two and then loading stops and times out. Once that happens I can't even ping anything. Kill the VPN connection and it goes just fine. The VPN worked with stock ROM and it works in Win7. I also connected successfully on my daughter's Macbook. It seems isolated to this release on AOKP on my N7. Anyone else had this problem or know a fix? I love the ROM, but with VPN not working for me, its a no-go.
