Anyone that has successfully purchased a TyTN and is using it in the US I would greatly appreciate some info on where to do so.
Thanks a lot.
I'm a currently an HTC Wizard use, and love it. I really want the video phone capability, and the increased speed for games and such. Looking forward to M$ Live Anywhere!
You're going to have to wait for video calling in the US... Cingular has not yet activated the feature (but are allegedly going to do so sometime in Q4 this year).
buy at http://www.smart-mobile-gadgets.com/ or http://www.dweiniger.com/ (note that I am not affiliated with either one)
or you can always go to trusty old ebay!
Thanks
Thank you very much for the info... And I'm aware of the Video Calling issuie here in the states. I'd like to have it early.... and have the faster phone... the overclocked Wizard just isnt cutting it...
730 isnt a bad price.... Thanks for the links...
Let me know when you buy it, I will follow.
Thankx!
i got mine from Phonesource-usa.com
i ordered and arrived the next day i am in canada but they are based out of the U.S las vegas i belive.
awsome service too always quick to reply.
oh and probably one of the best price's out there at the moment.
I really like the link from the last post. Thank you very much.
I will post here when I end up buying mine!
I bought 2 of them from http://www.PhoneSource-USA.com and I agree the service was awsome. I had mine delivered the next day and my brothers would of been delivered the next day if he didn't live out in the woods where they don't accept Saturday delivery.
Most places tried to tell me they had them instock or where recieving theres the next day but didn't. Give this guy a try if you haven't already purchased it.
we have the TyTN on special 719.99.. lowest price
full USA warranty for our customers ( Thats mean your tytn will be serviced in USA office).. and free USA CHARGER
www.smart-mobile-gadgets.com
I just purchased mine from GSM Phone Source (www.gsmphonesource.com). They are great to deal with and super fast service.
Hi,
I'm travelling from the UK to Las Vegas next week and was wondering were is the best and cheapest place to buy HTC products.
Any recommendations would be great.
Thanks

order online and get delivered to hotel. Try frys which is at the Luxor end of the strip but I don't think they've got much HTC stuff.
Try PhoneSource USA (www.phonesource-usa.com)
They have a shop at 2410 N Decatur in Las Vegas.
I don't know what their prices are like at the moment, but they were pretty good in October when I was there. Unfortunately, they had run out of Kaisers so I missed out.
Hope this helps
damn that exchange rate...
if you do hit up phonesource's store front, it's a good $20 cab ride roundtrip from the strip, but you'll get a fabulous view of how different the Las Vegas valley is away from the megaresorts/hotels. Start a stripmall picture collection!
Now that the Sim unlocking tool is out getting a AT&T Tilt and then unlocking it is the cheapest way to go. Get it delivered to the Hotel, even overnight:

Please note that this is for the locked and branded phone. Nothing will keep you from changing that though...

Does anyone have any sources for early buying of the HTC HD for Australia. I believe the device has already released in Germany but have been unable to find any suppliers who will ship.
The diamond took almost 4 months extra to get here.

I called Telstra, as they are a fond carrier of HTC products and they don't have a date. So I emailed today their rep and as soon as I hear from her, I will post it.
However, if you get any info here in Australia, let me know. Maybe Harvey Norman will carry them ??!!?
If it takes too long, I'll just find a good supplier from Europe.
Cheers.
still not sure how it will run on Telstra's nextG seeing as the phone will not be 850MHz... HTC have stated that they will not produce a HD that is compatible with US 3G networks- a 850MHz phone would mean one that is.....
on the other hand...... i want one for 3!!! wonder how i can pay for it.... get a decent free phone with a new contract, sell the phone on ebay and use the proceeds to go towards paying for the HD......????
Hey all,
so for those of in the US what is the best place to get it? Are there any shops that sell it already, or is it only out in Europe?
And if so, which is the cheapest but still reliable website to order it from?
Thanks.
I think im ready
Im also looking to buy a Touch HD here in the USA. Ive seen a few sites but dont want to get ripped off. Also I'm goint to to sell my USA 3g diamond if anyone is looking.
i got mine from clove technologies for $760 shipped. That was even shipped via DHL 2 day service. Works great. love this device!!!
Expansys USA apparently now has stock. I think the price is $799US.
I ordered from Clove as well. I've used them in the past and they are top notch. Even with 2 day shipping it was cheaper than ordering from Expansys USA without shipping.

did you order last week? i too ordered from Clove, but no word yet whether my order will be fulfilled with this week's stock. also, are you on att? if so, aside from the lack of 3G, are all the other services working well with the Touch HD?
Ordered from Expansys this morning. Just got my email that they shipped it out an hour ago.

Yes, it was ordered Friday morning and I have a fedex tracking number. I should have it on Wednesday. It was delayed a day for their validation process for international orders. I had a different credit card and shipping address from my previous orders so it was delayed for verification.
I am on ATT and everything else has worked fine with past touch devices. Getting to the medianet homepage can sometimes be an issue, but I never use it anyway so it's not a loss for me. Other than that everything works fine.

You man slow Edge speeds? The Touch HD doesn't have US 3G.
yes i know of a store in new york city, i spoke to them on the phone two weeks ago they told me they will be selling it as soon as touch hd will be released by any European carrier, witch already has happened.
the price they told me is $800.00 they also have a website, but i dont know what is it, but u guys can give them a call 212-964-4444
but be ware, NYC especially Manhattan has a lot of cell phone stores whitch sell bootleg versions. most of the tourists dont know and just buy
but anyways anybody who checks it out keep me updated, i would like to know if anybody buys it from them, cause i wanna get one also in a few months.
guys how slow will the internet be on it with out 3g? is it still worth it?

I just tested the Edge speed (w/ 4 bars) on my iPhone 2G and got 154kbps. I'd imagine that the HD would be similar.
In case anyone is interested, Clove UK seems to have brought down their price to $693. I'm probably going to go with that deal...

it will be slower than 3G no doubt, but it's an acceptable trade off for me (now). i may change my mind once i get the device.
however, thanks to the University of Iowa defeating Penn State (in football) this past weekend (and the corresponding return on my wager/investment) the lack of 3G is of less concern. in other words, the windfall from that game (and the "windfall's" capacity to finance 100% of the HD cost) makes it easier for me to rationalize that lack of 3G. i can cave into my insatiable desire to have a big a** WinMo VGA screen device, a.k.a, Touch HD.

lol, earlier this year, the NY Giants winning the SuperBowl financed my Orbit 2 purchase. i'm usually good for 3 to 5 winning weekends during the 20 week season (sept to jan) and the timing of and "windfall" from this "win" couldn't be better. now i'll have to lay low until the BCS games and Superbowl so i don't give it all back, lol. windfalls such as mine make it easier to explain to wifey the quarterly appearance of a new device.
Hmm... so I checked out the touch pro/fuze today and wasn't really that impressed with the thickness. I'm given some thought to purchasing the HD from overseas, and so far from reading the forums I'm taking I won't get 3G speed (which I can live without) -
These are unlocked, so I just drop my sim card in? I have AT&T MediaMax bundle that I used with my 3125, I'm trying to avoid my plan being bumped up to their more expensive PDA plans...
Does anybody knows about this store???
http://www.n1wireless.com/
I'm in urgent need to buy a phone since I killed my HD2 and the store I bought it from originally (in the US) seems to be out of stock.
So if anybody knows if it's safe to order from this N1wireless can chip in I'll appreciate it since I'm ordering from outside the US I don't want to get burnt, it won't be easy for me to fight any legal battles from abroad.
Thanks,
Fernando
Never heard of it...
But if you are after parts I can only highly recommend on ebay - ukhitech
Good luck
That ship has sailed...
Now I'm looking for a full phone.
Note to self: If in need of changing jobs I should pick locomotive mechanic over cell phone repair man
Thanks anyway!
Well, after sleeping over it and today a bit calmer I decided not to risk it with that store. I found the reviews page and it looks a bit too dodgy to order from /to the outside of the US.
As somebody pointed in that page the negative ones are very detailed and the positives are very vague (like fakes).
Anyway, I'm still looking for a replacement phone and the more I look the more I want another HD2
I 've been looking at the Galaxy 2s and it looks good but then you see comparison review and it's amazing that an almost 3yr old HD2 can still present decent battle to a dual core.
I was hoping my HD2 would last until next year so I can try the Edge but now it died I need a WiFi hot spot phone before February so I think I can kiss the Edge goodbye...
Sorry I went off topic but I'm in desperate search of my next phone and I've been a HTC fanboy for a couple of generations and now there are no HTC in the market that fit my needs. Why they did stop selling the HD2???? (darn!)
well depending on how much you are willing to pay, you could try amazon, hd2 starting from 200$!
just checked swappa.com no hd2s there either..
Thanks Jim but the one I need is the T9193 that has the 850Mhz in the 3G band and as far as I could find in amazon or ebay or prettymuch anywhere the want over $700 for them. The ones at the $200 price range seem to be the Tmo bands that they won't work down here in 3G.
I gave up looking for it. now it's a matter of spending $600 on a new phone (either the HTC vivid or Galaxy skyrocket) and learn to fall in love with it or try to get a cheapo with wifi hotspot and survive until the HTC Edge comes out...
