Hi, I am a beginner.
My first step is to install the morelocale2 via my "mobile network".
That app is about 62K. And I changed my desktop language successfully after installation. That's good.
But next time, when I want to change the language again, I cannot find it.
Anybody can help me: where is the app now? how can I use it again?

I installed Asukal's MUI (Thanks Asukal, really useful...)
However installing skype... leads me to a japanese version of skype... Whatever I do... Whcih is reallya pain for me !
Anybody had this problem ? Some ideas on how to fix it ?
I've installed Skype on my X01HT now twice, once with the JasJam rom, and once with the new Softbank Rom, using Askuls hack.
The key is that I downloaded the CAB file directly from Skypes site, and then executed it on the phone after transferring it to the card. If you're having trouble getting to the english version of the skype site from in Japan, just scroll to the bottom, and select the english language version of the page. It took me awhile to find it, but you'll eventually get the language of the page, and program of your choice. Good luck!

Unfortunately that's what I did (get the cab from my PC, on the English website)
Anyway if it worked for you, it should work for me
So I am going to give it a try once again ! (And check each step this time !)
Skype CE is multilingual application, no matter what you install, it seems to check your localization settings on startup and change language according to it. On my x01ht I had to open Skype in Japanese and than change language in Skype options...
It should not be hard, just follow these steps (I assume no WiFi available):
1. Open Skype
1a. If you get warning that you can only use cellular network, accept it (I don't remember which button, try left)
2. Sing in with your username and password, tap サインイン button
3. Confirm WiFi not available windw (OK)
4. Go to menu (メニュー)
5. Go to setup menu (設定 (E))
6. Select English language in language menu (言語), confirm OK, OK
7. Exit Skype, menu (メニュー), exit (終了(G))...
At next Skype start, everything should be in English...
Hello, I used to have the stock ROM with a Dutch XT9 dictionary. Now i'm stuck with an English XT9 after a flash..
Tried several things I found on the forum, but unable to change it successfully, it keeps popping up English suggestions...
Any idea on how to get my Dutch XT9 back?
Thx
Did you tried to download language installer from Sunnysoft? http://www.sunnysoft.com/htc/
Download it and connect your phone to PC via ActiveSync, run installer and it should start installing language on your phone.
In case, when installer say, that ROM is incompatible/not matching, then upload this installer from Sunnysoft somewhere and give me link. I extract language and XT9 CAB's from this installer and send back to you.
Hey,
I've installed this value added installer and it changed my whole phone to arabic. How do I get it back to english?
well the only way to solve the problem is to install the whole rom.. i.e. rom in english.. if thats difficult you can live with two lnguages.. in programs go to multilingual support.. unclick disable multilingual support then set ur language to English with arabic support

Don't panic mate. You can still return some english parts of it but not all. Try this first:
1.) Go to the Settings tab (that's the last tab in the slider, far right after the footprints tab)
2.) Count 10 from the very top of the settings and click it.
3.) From there Choose the 1st menu and try to choose english from the 1st drop downlist.
If this doesn't help just try to download this stock rom:
http://shipped-roms.com/shipped/Leo...Radio_Signed_15.30.50.07U_2.06.51.07_Ship.exe
or if that is not the stock rom that you are using try to search here:
http://shipped-roms.com/shipped/Leo/
That happened to me before, i have managed to put back some english parts but still it's irritating if you cant understand something that you are seeing on your phone. I have managed to restore my stock rom back then.
Hope this helps mate!
Goodluck. Let me know what happens. You can just reply to this thread or pm me, i'll be glad to help you.
i have downloaded the first link but it doesnt run on my htc hd2. the other link is an index... what am supposed to search for in that list?
well I've installed the value added installer and it did turn my phone to arabic,
disabling Arabic suuport means you're back to zero. however, you just need to change a few parts and all of the English interface will be back:
enable English with Arabic support from the multilingual support option, you'll find it in Misc in the settings tab, or in system in the winmo settings page (that's whn you click menu>all settings when you're in the settings tab).
now soft reset.
go to the settings tab again and choose locale and text > Regional. Personally I set it to UK because it's quite closer to what I use but if you want more advanced options, go again to winmo settings choose system and then regional, you'll be able ro maually adjust each value, even choose how the date will appear: Arabic, English names in Arabic, or plain English.
soft reset and you're good to go
hope that helps
note that the value added installer will be automatically installed whenever you hard reset, which means you'll have to do these all over again, a better idea is to install some of these backup programs which will restore the mobile to it's state at the time of the backup.
Hi.
I just bought a UK Nook Simple Touch Glowlight. To be exact, I had it delivered to Germany.
Powering it up, it shows me some registering procedure - also with setting up the Wifi. And here I fail. It connects to my Wifi (and also several hotspot mobile phones) telling me it is connect, but it cannot connect to the internet.
So I used tcpdump / wireshark and figured it is aquiring an IP and then trying to connect to h_t_t_p_s : _slash_ _slash_ bncs.barnesandnoble.com - a SSL handshake seems to take place.
The UK telephone support just answers me that it currently is overloaded and hangs up.
I now have two guesses:
a) Registering a UK Nook is currently not allowed from Germany (maybe using my IP to geolocate me).
b) B&Ns serveres are down.
Can anybody confirm a) or b) ?
And do I need to register? I want to use this device primarily as Android device and I'd prefer not to send it back to U.K., if I can make it work.
PS: Sorry for the stupid URL, I am new and not allowed to post outside URLs.
Skip registration
Here is a thread ( link ) that details how to completely skip the registration process. If you do not want to buy books from B&N, perhaps this is your answer.
I had the same problem here (France). I managed to registered my nokk. I solved it like this: instead of choosing french language at setup i chose english, complete the registration and that switch back to french.
Hopes it helps
Thanks

It worked now. I do not know what exactly helped, because it was set to english before. Maybe a hard reset worked magic, or the registration really was temporarily not possible.
I now also rooted it with tinynoot using these step: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=33446615&postcount=17
Thanks!!

I think the keyboard can be changed in the EM app. (If you don't have that app, it is described here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1195463)
You need to unlock the hidden menu and then select "Service Center". There is an option for the keyboard layout.
I don't know about the system language.
How did you flash to 7004?
