Hi,
I often have my Touch HD in my jeans during phone calls, either using a headset or the earplugs. Sometimes, the volume buttons are accidentally hit which may lead to unintended hangups etc.
Is there any way, to prevent the touch screen from going on when pressing the volume buttons during phone calls?
Thank you.

Is there a software that will lock my keys and buttons including the ones on the side during a call? I'm always inadvertently hitting or pressing some button during a call.
Just press the power button to turn the display off which in turns locks the keys. you have to press the power button again to turn the display back on
thanks but i'm not looking to turn the phone OFF, i need to not have the buttons active during a phone call when the phone is ON.
I oftentimes accidentally press some button or another when I get a phone call. When I used to have a Treo 700wx there was a feature to lock all buttons during a phonecall. I'm looking for that functionality here as well.
I also had a Treo, but I don't find the need for the key lock anymore on my XV6800. I don't think I've ever accidentally pushed a button during a call.
I've noticed that the volume buttons don't control the volume right when turning off the single volume control settings in the sound tab. I like this, so the RING volume isn't necesarilly the same as the SYSTEM volume. Switching to the two separate volume levels gives unwanted behaviour in sound level as well as functionality of the volume control buttons, using the Audio tab or during a call. To be more precise:
- when listening to an mp3 on the audio tab, and the screen is off, I can press the vol up/down button, but nothing really happens unless I keep pressing down untill I hit 'silent' mode - and voila presto, the music is gone. Hit vol up once, and it is back at the sound level is was, regardless of how many times I press vol up. If I turn the screen back on, vol up/down work as they should (although I have better control on the screen itself);
- when answering or making a call, volume is at max loudness, regardless of the settings I chose beforehand. Pressing vol down shows it at min loudness on the screen, and therefor doesn't do anything - untill I touch the screen to adjust the volume, and then it suddenly is possible to use a lower setting. Weird and annoying too.
So I'm back to the single volume control untill HTC fixes this.
ever since i got my hd2, i've got this really annoying problem: when i make a phone call and hold the phone at my ear, it's supposed to shut off and lock the screen using the approximity sensor. but often, this wont work right, the sensor keeps enabling/disabling the screen, causing me to unwillingly press this football-field-sized "end call" button or to activate the phone pad and pressing those buttons.
this problem seems to occur more often when holding the phone at my right ear then at my left.
anyone know a solution? (maybe keeping the screen shut off during the whole call until pressing the windows button or something?)
I bought the nexus 4 recently and I've been in love with it ever since.
But.
When I play music, the on screen volume controls don't work. The physical keys on the side work fine.
But the on screen volume control defect vanishes when I'm on a call. When im on a call, I can vary the volume on the screen itself.
However, in the settings, I can change the master volume and that's it.
What can I do to make the on screen volume controls work again?
I have an S5 with an official Samsung case and the volume keeps going to zero so i miss calls and texts. At first i though that i was catching the volume keys as i took the phone out of my pocket. I tried altering the volume by pressing the volume keys through the case but it did not work. In fact when you shut the flap of the case it closes the screen of the phone so the volume keys do not work.
I have checked the setting and i can't see anything that would cause this.
Anyone have any ideas??
