From what I can tell, the icons are all new. Although maps is older version and will get updated via Market and icon will be replaced back to normal. Other than that, not much difference.
It has the Google search app and the updated Voice Search.
Would love to know why there is a Twitter client in the gapps package.
does anyone know where i can get GAPPS for CM6?....i just rooted about 30 mins ago and im totally lost and every link is broken......i really need some help LOL....i know that sounded desprate
we have moved on to cm7, can still get the cm6 gapps at http://goo-inside.me/
wow thats real overwhelming to me LOL....should i just flas CM7?.....would that be a better option for me? (and is everything included with CM7?)....sorry for all the questions...did my homework on rooting, but all the stuff that comes after root im not so keen on.....thank alot
can you tell me which one i need for my particular ROM?>
HDPI
MDPI
MDPI-TINY
MDPI-TEGRA
hdpi
cm7 nightlies have 4g now, they are working very well and have everything that cm6 had, there are a few minor issues such as dialer wakelock, titanium not auto restoring, slow pc to phone transfers
ok cool....but im having a problem....i downloaded CM7 onto my PC and dropped it into my SDcard....went to the bootloader and selected RECOVERY....but its not taking me to the Clockwork MOD....its just giving me the option to REBOOT, REBOOT BOOTLOADER, AND HBOOT USB..........did i do something wrong?....this is the first time im flashing a ROM over another
P.S. Do i have to delete Cm6 thats in my SDcard, then drop CM7 into the SDcard.....then try to go into recovery?....im not really sure

This would be an amazing mod indeed..too bad no one seems to care (as usual i'd say..). I'll try porting it myself, no guarantees though, as unfortunately i'm no developer

I've modified the various smalis in services.jar and framework.jar (hopefully they are fine), working on the framework now.
Great great great (horray) This will be one of those epic mods! Cant wait! Only wondering if it will be possible to apply to all the different sense-roms out there (i'm running rcmix hd)...
Cheers

Unfortunately (but as expected) doesn't work with RCMixHD... phone keeps stuck at first bootscreen for ages, so I grabbed my nandbackup... think it is due to the totally different notificationarea with integrated multitasking in the HDRoms... but anyway thanks for your efforts!

It is available through the donate version of Liberty Toolbox on the market! Support your ROM developers, it's only $5. I am installing it now. I will report back with all the awesomeness that has been having people froth at the mouth lol. Nom nom nom
Liberty 2.0 will be released for the masses in a couple days on the forums. They are calling this some what of a beta stage. Either way, I don't think they would release something that would need to be tested for a beta stage for $5 LOL.
Remember, you have to SBF if you are on the Gingerbread leak. If you are not on the Gingerbread leak or any Gingerbread ROM, a simple whipe data/cache will work. This has been confirmed by the developers themselves.
Edit:
My Quadrant score is 1388 on clean installed Liberty 2.0 running 1.0Ghz. Overclocked to 1.2Ghz, which is what I normally run, it's 1629. AT 1.3Ghz, I get 1724.
Edit #2: Liberty 2.0.1 has been released and you can download 2.0 for free on droidforums. Also, in the Liberty Toolbox (donate version) Liberty Gingerbread is available for download!
So is 2.0 gingerbread or still froyo?
It is froyo
Has anyone else installed this yet? I want some others to wiegh in before I give my opinions about the ROM.
Yea, My first impression is that it's a lot like 1.5, in fact at a glance you can't tell the difference. I'm at work and have not got to play with it a lot yet though.

You will need to SBF back to Froyo 2.3.340 yes.
I am not yet impressed with 2.0. I mean, yes it's snappy and quick but I don't see what the hype was all about. It is stripped down and apps open quickly but, there isn't a whole lot of change from 1.5
I think this is the best it will get. Unless you theme 2.0 or any other Liberty version, it's plain as plain can be. If your looking for speed and willing to do a lot of the work your self as far as theming and improving the ui look, I was kinda of let down by 2.0. Everyone praises how great it is...am I missing something here, lol?
I liked 1.5, but it had a couple bugs. I am hoping those bugs will be gone completely in 2.0. I was also hoping 2.0 would bring something new and cool to the table, but I really don't see it. I tried a couple other roms, and I thought liberty was faster than any of the others I tried. To early to tell if the bugs are fixed in 2.0.
I am getting a force close when I try to open liberty settings in 2.0. Other than that no real negatives yet.
For anyone looking I just found the settings force close fix on twitter.
Force close in liberty settings fix: download toolbox > access liberty settings by pressing menu> settings in the toolbox.

Let me retract my previous statements lol. Battery life is amaaaazing so far! I themed 2.0 and man-o-man....2.0 is running quite fast! There isn't a single issue for me. I installed the two Liberty Tool Boxes from the Market and that stopped the FCs when opening the Liberty settings. Other then that, holly molly is alls I have to say!
This is now a true 5 star ROM, all the way! Loading this to me gf's DX!! Locked bootloaders are a thing of the past once you really get this ROM going.
This doesnt seem better than rubix? seems like it comes with more crap I dont need.

More crap? Like what? Gmail, LoL?
Liberty 2.0 is pure speed. It will need to be themed if you are looking for eye candy.

It's easy to remove the bloat from Liberty. Take the time to read the OP before you look a gift horse in the mouth. Jerk.
Help please! My Droid X got stock on the Liberty boot screen while flashing, I cannot go back to recovery. I tried holding camera, volume down & power and it still boots the liberty boot screen stays their, I tried power, home and search and nothing their either back to liberty symbol. Help please! All and every suggestion will be tried.
Thanks

Were you running Froyo or Gingerbread? Did you wipe data/Cache before or after installing installing Liberty 2.0?
I used the wipe data/cache in the install que in the new Liberty Toolbox.

Thanks for your responses now I just have to figure out what SBF is?
I'm trying to access the carrier settings like you would do on a Sense Rom for the EPST. Just trying to configure my mms settings. Any help would be great.
Nope. Can't be done in CM7 because EPST is not open-source.
Download a Sense ROM, Nandroid backup CM7, flash Sense, edit settings, wipe everything, restore CM7.
Maybe when the Nexus S 4G comes out, EPST will be made open-source, and can be ported to the EVO, Shift, Heroc, Bravoc, etc.
Tried that and it's still not working :/
Probably better off with Sense for the time being.

You didn't use a sense rom based on a stock EVO 4g ota. My guess is you used a desire z port or kingdom which may or may not work. Try sprint lovers 3.70. It has never failed me.

I tried that exactly how it was explained but nothing changes.....still the default sense lockscreen
I'm on nfinitefx45's Leak Rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1082793) and after reading some of the other comments on the Lockscreens page they say it doesn't work on the Sprint leak on the Evo either.....I wonder why it doesn't work on the Sprint release.....weird
On Mik's GB and it worked after I turned on the stock Android lockscreen in display settings, backed out and locked, unlocked, then went back to display settings and unchecked.

For me on the new leak i had to use root explorer to delete the old htclockscreen then copy the new one into the app folder under system. Then reboot your phone and its there

Thats basically what my way does just without using a root explorer.....I was already in Titanium Backup restoring all my files and figured I would give it a shot....that way is most likely faster and easier to do tho....
