Hrmm. Have you managed to connect via remote desktop in the past?
What internal IP addresses are showing on your router? (192.168.1.xxx, need the 1.xxx only)
Did you place your PC that you are connecting to in the DMZ first? (This may solve it)
Did you turn off your PC's firewall and try it then?
Please post back with specific steps you've taken and I'll see if I can help
---EDIT---
Also, please post back with your computer specs (Operating System, Manufacturer, etc).
never used remote desktop before. DMZ didnt work. Left dmz on though. My fire wall has remote desktop as a firewall exception. and what do you mean by : What internal IP addresses are showing on my router?
Oh, i have a compaq presario on windows XP. Also i heard something about doing it though 3G, would that be easier. I have a [email protected] router too
I'm not familiar with the [email protected] setup, sorry.
Since you put your PC in the DMZ, this means you can access your router and the settings. Check for "Connected Devices" or something of the sort. It should list the internal IP addresses of all connected devices.
I don't know how to find it under Windows Mobile, but on Windows you can do a start->run->command and then type in ipconfig in the black box that shows up. Unfortunately this isn't so useful without the same info from your phone...
well there are a bunch of IP's, the one for my phoe though is ...1.112. what else do i need???
Okay, so we can be sure that your phone is connected to your home network.
Have you attempted to setup your computer for using Remote Desktop in the past?
This link goes to a tutorial for setting your PC up.
Also, I run Linux, so I haven't used an XP PC in a while (run Win7 on my other 2) but don't worry. I'll be back in the morning to check the boards and see how you got along. If I can't figure it out, I've got friends (and so do you, now ) that can help us figure it out.
hi there i too had a problem getting it to work 2 actually. first make sure u dont have an AntiVirus with a firewall "Lookout AntiVirus "on your phone. that caused problem #1 second make sure u have gserver installed on your pc, and then add gserver.exe to the exception list in your firewall settings on ur pc. goodluck let me know if get it to work

Hi,
A newbie, dummy, etc to the WM5.0, o2 xda exec device and what not + great to see this resource out there. I have got no WiFi or BlueTooth setup, the device set me back heavily for a good little while ;-)
Meanwhile attempting to develop some apps at home, I am trying to avoid O2's call plan data usage and connect to desktop PC (ie. some custom TCP apps running on it) as well as attempt to use its internet connection via USB/ActiveSync.
Have looked around for hours, hit google and more, and all I could find is help topic in ActiveSync : 'Use ActiveSync to "pass through" this computer, which of course I can't see working. For example, pocket IE just comes back with 'address is not valid' for any IP address I specify.
I can see the IP addresses associated with ActiveSync, ping them etc. but for the life of me I can't figure out what's required to use the pocket IE or any TCP client on the device to see the desktop's IP address or use its internet connection.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Andy
In ActiveSync, go to connection setting. At the box "This computer is connected to", choose "The Internet".
It suppose to work now.
Thanks for the prompt reply. Have tried that, and what it presents is 'automatic', 'work', and 'internet'. I would have imagined it would present an option to chose my dial-up connection but nope, only those three choices are there.
None of them work, my setup does use a USB modem but I suspect that might not be a problem (although ActiveSync (4.1) seeems to be touchy about other USB devices judging by some web searches).
What I do see is a new Local Area Connection in network control panel for the mobile device. All its IP properties are set to automatic (private IP is automatic too). Event Log on the desktop doesn't report anything wrong either.
I try to use IP adrresses as URLs in Pocket IE only, hence it eliminates DNS issues or similar. I've also wiped the firewall to make sure it is not interfering in any way but still no luck.
What I am wondering now is whether this automagically works for others, if they had to add new modem connection or something on the device, and whether they had to enable Internet Connection Sharing on their dial-up (which I tried and messed up IP addresses and DHCP to some extent so I reverted back).
Any hints where I could be screwing up appreciated.
Regards,
Andy
From what I understand reading all day long (won't give up easy, is that pass thru is achieved through layered LSPs but somehow it's not working (question being does it really work with an USB/Dial up broadband).
And miserably failing at it, the network connection given to PC has following:
DHCP enabled
IP-Address : 169.254.2.2
Subnet-Mask: 255.255.255.0
Defeault-Gateway: (none specified)
DHCP Server is the Windows CE device and given address 169.254.2.1.
I would appreciate if someone can share their (working) Remote-NDIS Host settings from device in Settings/Network Cards/The Internet.
Thanks in advance.
Found and grabbed the settings off the web and some other forums, (169.254.2.1, and subnet mask of 255.255.255.0), things get "better".
"better" = another mega piece of nonsense.
R-NDIS Host now reconfigured, Pocket IE is still unable to use the USB dial-up broadband (no USB hubs involved on the desktop pc btw)
By some odd accident, started the MSN and while it refuses to check mail or similar (edit: it did allow it eventually), its chat features are working perfectly fine. Looking at desktop trace it goes off to :
ip48.hotmail-ppe.com via https
While that will return nothing to a browser based setup it certainly manages to use the desktop PC's connection as wireless is totally off on the device (called flight mode off is it, or similar?).
If anyone has seen or could explain this, or what on earth to do to get the IE (which consistently refuses with 'The address is not valid') to see the desktops connection from here, I'll be their slave for a week ;-)
Regards,
Andy
Matter solved, notified the networking and hopefully they pass it to IE team.
Put simply, write your own web-browser and it'll work
;-)

The fact that you can see the new Local Area Connection (Windows Mobile-based Device #..) proves that your Pocket is connected with your PC.
The “Remote NDIS Host” setting can be “IP address allocated by server” (then you may have an error message, but you should share the PC internet connection with the Pocket), or “Specific IP address” 169.254.2.1 (Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0).
So, your problem may come from the connection that PIE is trying to use.
The settings of “Parameter/Connections/Connections/Advanced/Select Networks” should be “Work Network” (réseau de bureau in French) in which :
General = parameters set name
Modem = “empty”
[VPN = “empty”]
Proxy parameters = “This network connecting to Internet” ticked
“This network connecting to Internet through a proxy server” NOT ticked (unless you are connecting to internet through a proxy server).
Sometimes, when you change from GSM/GPRS/UMTS networks, you must soft reset the Pocket to make sure that PIE will use the newly selected network.
In my case my PC is connected to the ADSL modem through a router, which is used as a DHCP server. Then my pocket is getting an IP address by the router in my local network range (different than 169.254.2.1). I don’t know if the connection of the modem on USB can be a problem, but I don’t think so.
You mentioned “some custom TCP apps running on” the PC, did you try without?
Good luck
Had similar Problem ....
Hi Layman,
Your problem sounds very similar to mine - except that I have a cable connection rather dial-up. Differences aside:
I had a machine at work where I plug-in my XDA and it works fine with the inernet.
It refused to work at home. To cut a long story short ... Check your settings are correct, and DO NOT SHARE THE INTERNET on your machine.
On my XP at home I had a bridge (or connection sharing). Once I deinstalled that everything worked. The symptoms were simialr to yours, I can ping local machines but cannot go to the interenet.
My setup at home,
XP Home Edition
USB connection
Activesync 4.1
CABLE modem connected to a wireless/wired switch router.
This machine is connected to the switch.
NO Internet connection sharing.
Hope thi shelps.
Hope this helps...
Thanks to both of you for reply, I pretty much took it as IE bug and slashed out under (real identity at MS guys but no harm meant etc. All a good thing.
------------------------------------
Glaps, cheers, have tried that on number of occasions and what was weird is that it kept coming back checked, or that everything would be unchecked. I just did the tests again
As per earlier posts I switched to purely flight mode (no wireless), so soft reset wasn't required. Having said that and looking at it, I can confirm the My Work connection to use Internet (not proxy) gets unchecked
on every soft reset (perhaps another bug? Yep, it's a BUG ).
Even in a single boot, when I triple, quadruple checked the proxy was not on and that the setting was still unchecked, and that IE was available on Work connection PIE wouldn't connect. I think I did a hard reset about 100 times as well and none of it helped. I've tried probably 20 variations on the theme with many settings. The fact remained IE-irony was the only app unusable.
(This pretty much makes the Connection/Settings on ActiveSync4.1 to use pass through for work or internet irrelevant, it should be all automatic. I think the idea of it all was that RNDIS and that DTLP feature is intelligent enough to figure out what's local network (work) or internet. Frankly I think it was a mistake taking that route for one scenario at least, but time will tell, no point speculating and certainly off topic..)
------------------------------------
RedJupiter, cheers. I can confirm the above holds for the disabling of Internet Conn Sharing too. It is not a deciding factor for the device or more correctly Pocket IE. With or without ICS, all applications apart from IE work.
To add to this (and encourage the debate perhaps, at least others/I can learn more from other experiences), in the last 3 days I've seen numerous posts on how to configure ActiveSync 4.1 'correctly' (heck even the install is labeled wrong, 4.0, speaks volumes). Suggestions ranging to enable IP routing in registry on desktop XP box, to enable NetBios over TCP/IP, to configure WINS, DNS etc. All of which I just don't see affecting much at all (at least in my own setup)
Here it is a USB modem, no routers, simple Dell 9100 box. So two USBs used: one for device and one for broadband modem. (will post the ROM versions and other stuff later). Ops, add another one for keyboard but surely that shouldn't do interrupts or something ;-
Custom app HTTP requests succeed with no problem at all, all other apps work with internet too. Pocket IE stands out.
Hope I am proven 'wrong', it really don't matter on that front. It's just that I can't test with Pocket IE and must give money to provider just to use the browser with settings (MyISP) that will probably make it work (which btw, I haven't setup yet; and will be surprised if that solves this problem instead . Call it avoiding O2's 'mega-bloat-software' install that smashes the device effect, so I am even scared to set the ISP up since that freezing cold experience lol.
( was an intro, but consider it ignorable as it is just early experience:
Above all together only part of the story because the whole thing is as unstable as it gets, the device (OS really) can get really shaken when running low on memory. Files get deleted as you watch them, ActiveSync can return consistent 0x8007000E error on the device (wonder if anyone is checking this really) although plenty of free RAM is on it. Google just solidifies all this with the number of hits and problems related, but things ActiveSync can do (like add files) are just beyond any bug reason; it needs to be scrapped really and alternatives are available so no more moaning from me there).
Ok just one more , what's more things get far more messy when you involve VS 2005, bugs in all OS-es with SSL usage, cert handicaps, you name it. I guess that tells what I am doing with the desktop, simply
trying to do a full roundtrip and test my own server running on desktop. Turned out a web client was required so went down the route to host the browser and pump the HTTP/S myself. Of course, turns out there are issues with the TCP/IP Winsock interface and limitations not only related to authentification and certificates but more, but it's a start. Besides, I am glad I can hit websites from the device (not just desktop debugging)
Eventful 4 days, and all I can conclude is that coming back to software+hardware, jack changed in last 6 years of software 'advances'. Yet you'll see new AKUs, new issues and what not before all the other important bits are resolved first.. But .NET adoption will keep smashing those devices until they figure out it's not sensible having it at all if all software that will run on it would use it like its Free Money Monday every day; not until they sort out the desktop GUI and RAM eating experience first; and it will still all be classified as 'vis ta bloat' OS. )

This is probably really remedial but I'm a Mac user so it's foreign to me. I had an Imate Jam working great with Active Sync 3.8 on Win XP Pro.
Now I have the MDA and have installed Active Sync 4.1 (even tried 4.2). When I plug in the MDA, Windows makes the 'donk' sound to advise something's been connected but it just shows a 'Generic RNDIS' device connected and the add hardware wizard says the device cannot start (yes it's turned on).
I don't see any drivers on the T-Mobile CD that came with the product....is there something else I have to do to install this thing so Active Sync recognizes it?
<edit> I've attached a picture of the hardware manager...
When I uninstall the driver and re-plug in the device, it's immediately recognized as a Windows Mobile-based device but then I get the error: "A problem occured during hardware installation. Your device may not work properly." This happens each time I try it, even after a restart.
thanks,
Tim
hi buddy
i've had that XPerience when i've connected my brand new prophet (o2 xda neo) to my pc via usb 2.0 hub. i was going nuts, because all older partnerships to devices i've established before i've bought the hub did work... if you do the same - change it! at least one time you should connect the ppc directly to an available usb connector on your pc until you have established a partnership. also i would recommend to install active sync 4.2 beta (use the search here to find the link), it fixes some connecting trouble... let us know if any of these tips helped at all or if you found your own solution...
cheers, lutz
Try disabling your firewalls these are the usual culprits to stop syncing. You can add activesync to the list of acceptable programs if you use something like zone alarm firewall etc.. I have the windows firewall disabled.
Thanks for the suggestions. I've tried connecting directly to the USB port -- no dice. I only have the Windows Firewall which was already showing ActiveSync as an allowed application but I turned it off and still nothing changes.
The device manager reports:
This device cannot start. (Code 10)
Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device.
The troubleshooter basically instructs me to delete the device and try again, which I've done a dozen times, restarted both phone & computer. Still nothing.
Another trick that worked for me, if you have a network socket even if you dont have a network cable attached, enable network connections on your computer and try again. Whenever you change settings on your computer uninstall activesync and reinstall it. Hope that helps.
AS not connecting
For some reason, I had to repair/re-install AS. After re-booting, XP Pro/AS 4.2Beta recognized the Wizard again (Cing 8125) as all was well.
It's been stable the past few days, I think because I'm not trying to sync at work (I just cancel and use Guest).
Not a great answer, but good luck...
paul
Thanks, still no go. I do have an active Internet connection. I'm not so sure this has anything to do with ActiveSync as the computer doesn't even get to a successful install of the hardware....it always says a problem occured and the hardware may not work properly.
Succes...almost. I left the phone plugged in and restarted (after deleting the hardware profile) and when the PC rebooted it made that oh-so-sweet ActiveSync connected sound. Then AS quit and I was back to where I started in the post before....doh!
Just for kicks I plugged in my old Jam and it worked just fine, the hardward was recognized right away.
This leads me to believe something may be hosed on my MDA? Weird because it charges fine and everything else is great...it was a brand new unopened box from the local T-Mo retailer.
Hmmm...
BNDIS Connector
Guys,
Not sure that this is the solution, but this is what happened to me too. The way that Active Sync 4.x talks to a WM5 device is as a network device, not a USB device as in WM2003/Active Sync 3.x.
So, what you need to do is make sure that your PPC, which when connected to the PC shows up in the Device manager as a BDNIS network adapter, is to ensure that the BNDIS connector has an IP Address.
The easiest way to do this, connect the PPC to the PC and here the ping sound.
Right click on the My Network Places icon and select Properties
In the Network Connections Window, select Views > Details.
Find the Network Adapter that has the Device Name of the BNDIS connector.
Right click on this Network Adapter
Ensure that Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) is checked.
My guess is that it is not checked
If it is, check the properties for the Internet Protocol (TCP..) and ensure that DHCP is selected.
Hope this helps -

This happened to me too. ActiveSync 4.1 worked perfectly until my WinXP Machine crashed and I had to reload.
When I reloaded, ActiveSync acting in the same manner.
I'll try this tonight and see if works for me. Hope so.

You can still use your mac & missing sync 2.5 alpha & for most things it will work fine, but functionality is limited & sync only via BT. - it does ical, Address Book & tasks & time sync. & you can also install programs & documents as well. for media I just copy the songs straight to my mini sd card via a card reader.
Some programs will only install via windows, but as I have an intel iMac I run windows as well & activesync so far works well for me, but I have to disable the contacts/tasks/calendar or I end up with dupicate entries etc.
jkossowsky - awesome info. The problem I'm having is that the device does not show up in the network adapters. When I plug it in, it tells me there was a problem with the device and it could not be started.
Device Recognized
You need to install Active Sync 4.x before plugging in your device.
So, to be really really safe, go to Device Manager, look at the Unrecognized Devices section, find your unrecognized device and right click on it and remove it.
Install Active Sync 4.x
(if you already installed it, uninstall it, reboot and reinstall it again)
Once it is installed, plug in your device and it should be recognized as a Network Adapter.
If Active Sync does not automatically find the device, follow the instructions from my post above.
Uninstall Activesync, reboot, Reinstall Activesync, Reboot, plug in device.
pray
if that fails, attached are the proper INF files, manually update them to this, and see if that helps.
Thanks for the info, I'll give this a try. The thing that really killed me is that my old iMate Jam connected fine during this whole ordeal.
I exchanged the Wizard for a new one and still had the same issue. I finally tried syncing it on a new laptop running Win XP Pro and was able to get it to connect.
I'll try the suggestions above on the previous machine to see if I can get it to recognize the phone. Atleast I know the phone is not defective now.
Darn, no dice on that manual driver install...I get 'the specified location does not contain information about your device'

You may want to have a look @ support.microsoft.com
There's an issue with 4.x ActiveSync [AS] and Windows Firewall. Even though AS is listed in the exceptions, it doesn't work properly......
See here.......... http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/help/activesync/default.mspx
I had this also - bugged me for weeks.
I found that the AS suite I downloaded from the MS site - regardless of version - would never find the Wizard. Only when I installed the version on the CD that came with the dvice would it connect - even though I think it was only AS 4.0.
Although I imagine you've aalready tried the CD version if you have one...
Is there a program that allows you to use your Wizard to remotely control your PC over Wifi?
I remember my friend had one on his Universal that allowed him to use bluetooth to control his PC but I don't remember the name. Also, not sure if it was the phone's fault but the picture was slow to refresh. Unfortunately, he's now sold his Universal and said good riddance to anything affiliated with it...
There were a couple of programs that let you use your Wizard as a keyboard input device but do these also let you control mouse and let you see what's going on?
Yes, try this!

there is a terminal services client built in as well...
Thanks for the replies.
Yeah... the in built Terminal Services Client didn't work for me and I guessed that it was just the inbuilt stuff being useless.
Unfortunately the vncviewer doesn't seem to work either. I'm beginning to suspect that there's something wrong with my Wizard or my home WiFi setup in general.
Oh well, time to go fiddlin'
On my device it works perfectly. You can also run the program on your desktop pc to test it.
Can you ping your pocket pc from a desktop pc?
No, I can't ping my Wizard; I tried this first and nothing goes through.
I had thought that my router wasn't letting anything through but I can ping the other computer on my network just fine.
I did try the program but I can't connect to the other computer on my network. I only know the basic home networking stuff so it's probably something to do with my wireless router. Do the ports matter?
The ports don't matter because ping takes place far under the TCP/UDP layer. On my router (fritzbox 7050) there is an option where you must allow that wifi devices may communicate with each other in general. This is the only restriction I can think of if your other computers are hardwired.
However, I can ping my wizard just fine when he's connected to my router. Have you enabled DHCP? If so, try to (disable it and) manually assign an IP to the wizard.
My router (Belkin F5D7633) doesn't have any options to enable or disable communications.
I tried assigning the IP address manually and switching DHCP off and this has allowed pinging but I still can't use either the inbuilt terminal services or the vncviewer.
I think I'm going to give up trying to use my Wizard for this and just stick with a laptop...
Maybe this should be said, but I thought you surely know ....
In order to use the vncviewer program, there has to be a vncserver program running on some machine. try realvnc for example http://www.realvnc.com/.
Install this on a local desktop machine and then try that viewer again.
If you already did that, then sorry
 Don't be sorry. Actually I already have the free verison of VNC running on all my machines and I have a license for Access Remote PC from a while ago to transfer files when my Windows XP stopped displaying some folders across the network.
I think that's where my problem is: either in my network or in my operating system. I do access my PC from my laptop but I just thought it'd be nice if I could do it from my phone too. Oh well... but thanks for the help though, you've been very thorough
no problem  the last thing I would try in your case is to open up a general server on your desktop pc with a program like netcat. then grab a telnet application or the internetexplorer on ppc and try to connect there with that. worth a try at least...
How can i use this with macs? Is there another software available?
hey there guys new one here just signed up not long a go i my sell got the htc hd2 from t-mobile seems pertty good but i got a little issue
Cannot connect with current connection settings to change your current connection settings tap settings
I’m running Windows xp home with a Dlink EBR 2310 Router.
I’ve forwarded port 3389
I have tried the local Ip-adress and my computer Ip-adress, and I have allow connection for remote desktop.
What am I doing wrong???
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
hum ok then i know same thing every forum you go to newbie thing well i used Google and the search bar
are you trying to connect while on the same network (i.e. you're at home on your phone where your computer, and router are)?
or are you trying to connect while at another wi-fi location? (away from the location where your computer is)?
at home please note remote desktop is new with me but however i found tutorials at pocketpc i know computers pretty well but this has me stumped....
what would it have to do with the net work? I should be able to connect to my pc even if i was down the street also my computer is not running off WiFi or a wireless router.
I'm no expert by any means, but I managed to connect to remote desktop by using this:
Computer: (use your computers IP address, not your routers)
User: (should be the same as your normal sign in)
Password: (self explanitory)
Domain: (Leave blank)
This worked for me, but I am on the same network as my computer.. I DON'T know how to log in from another wi-fi point.
Izod2010, let me know if this works (on your home network)
If somebody knows how to get remote desktop from an outside Wi-Fi point, please let me (us) know.
Cannot connect with current connection settings to change your current connection settings tap settings
so that's a no it didn't work with My IP or local IP
do you have the Wi-Fi on you phone turned on? I tried to connect without turning on my phones Wi-Fi the first time.
Once I turned it on.. it went without any issues.
nope still same message♠
should i use the router login?
check these out:

step 2 might fix it.
or check out youtube...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCs4GQma7IQ
(I didn't mess with my router like he said.. It didn't have those setting available to me)
yea no matter what i do it dont work i guess its either phone side or my pc not sure whats wrong.
oh, btw. what operating system are you running? I think you have to have XP professional or newer to run RDT... and like the one website said (that I linked to).. I believe that you need to go into it (on your computer) and allow RDT accessability from outside computers.
other than that, I have no idea.
finally got this working...
upsetting that i can't turn it off/on.. but still bad ass regardless

What do you mean? What can't you turn on/off?
For Remote Desktop you must have XP Pro. XP Home and all other "Home" Windows do not come with the Remote Desktop Server. They do come with the Remote Desktop Client (RDC) so you can connect from the "Home" PC to some other "Pro" system. But you cannot use Remote Desktop Client (RDC) from anything to cennect to a "Home" Windows System. For a "Pro" system, right click on "My Computer", select "Properties" and then select the "Remote" tab to turn on Remote Desktop Server.
I realize this thread is old and technically solved...However I just experienced this same error message and after searching and not finding an answer wanted to post what solved mine for the next person like me.
STUPID...but I just flashed a new ROM and couldn't get signed into RDM--My Data Connection was turned off by default on the new ROM. I didn't realize this until after getting extremely frustrated.
Hope it helps someone in the future
Did you get this to work?
Hello,
could you ever get this to work out??
It was working fine on my touchpro 2, and I used it almost everyday with no problem.
ever since I got my HD2, it NEVER worked, and I tried every way possible. Every time I asked I was told to do the steps mentioned in your post replies and they told me you're a newbie maybe you can't figure it out, Ive been using windows mobile for nearly 10 years now, and I used remote desktop since it was first launched!! and it worked perfect every time.
There is a problem that I can't figure out, Im a computer software engineer and Ive been trying EVERYTHING possible. Something is missing, and wm experts and neglecting this, thinking that we're newbies and just can't figure it out.
Can someone tell me how i can get a small navigation window in remote desktop ? Watch this vide http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFiDZ_wBAtM&feature=channel PLS help
You need Pro version of windows XP-vista or Windows 7 to use Remote desktop
I have Windows 7 Ultimate... but i ask about small window in PPC (Touch Pro 2) which let me navigate after zoom in.
I have an Archer C7 wireless router with a USB hard drive connected to it that contains all my media. I have two linux boxes and two Windows machines that can see the share (\\192.168.xxx.xxx\volume1), but the nVidia Shield TV won't see it automatically OR let me enter the address manually. KODI and SPMC both surf to and find the share and media folders therein without problem, but the Shield will not natively see it.
When I try to enter it manually, it says "CONNECTION FAILED - null is not available". I don't know what it says by null except that it can't tell anything is there at all.
The only thing I can think of is that, in Linux, I have to use "sec=ntlm" to change the dedault security in the cifs/samba command in file /etc/fstab to get it to mount, but I can't set something like that in the Shield. Even if I remove authentication altogether, the Shield still doesn't recognize the share or even the 192.168.xxx.xxx address at all. They're on the same network. I should also mention that I can connect to the share from my Android phone, so I don't think it's something with the OS. Maybe...
At this point, I'm at a total loss to get this share connected to the SHIELD.
Any ideas?
Hi! Any news about this problem? Have you solved this?

No solution yet. I let the Tier 2 techs at Nvidia know about it, but nothing back (as I expected). All we can do is hope this and many other issues are addressed on the next update.
Try with NFS. My share is NFS and auto connects correctly every time on bootup.
