Where can I find official HTC ROM updates?

Goodmorning,
Does someone know where I can download official HTC released ROM files? HTC doesn't publish their ROM images on a own FTP server, but referes to the operator sites. I bought my P3300 in the Netherlands (www.misco.nl), but my device isn't (apparently) imported trough the official Dutch importer (www.smartmobility.nl). Smart
Mobility doens't have my IMEI number in their database, with the result that I can't access the ROM-updates. Does someone know the official UK HTC importer, where I can try to check for ROM-updates? I suppose they will recognise my IMEI-number...
I can't understand why HTC distributes their ROM update so laborious. It would be much easier I they would publish it on www.htc.com. Is is easy, one central point for all customers and users are always 100% sure that they have the latest version of the ROM. Now we are depenable of the "operators" and they use IMEI-verification, maybe they are late with putting ROM updates online, etc, etc.

Well for now you shouldn't worry - there aren't any 'official' upgrades at the moment (I just checked the Smart Mobility site). When/if they are released, I'm sure you'll be able to get them through different channels.

I am new to all of this , i have got a std hd on orange (well not any more )
rom version 1.14.405.3 (22273) WWE
I thought i would tart simple and kick off with the latest HTC rom... see how that improved things for me... i put the SN of my handset into the downloader on the HTC support site and got a message saying that it was not suitable for this device... WTF...
I am kinda lost now , all i want is a smoother, more responsive handset that doesnt freeze up on me...
any pearls of wisdom ??

because you bought your device from orange you can't use HTC.COM for ROM updates. When orange bought the devices HTC technically washed their hands of any software involvement (hotfixes not included).
Orange (like most networks) Take the stock ROM and modify it to their liking adding in stuff they want you to access. Take a Sony Ericsson for example. In the menu instead of play now and Internet, they have swapped this for stuff that will take you straight to an orange website that you have to download their content and no one elses.
In short if you want a new ROM you will have to use either HSPL or USPL to unlock the phone and allow ROMs to be flashed.

There is a number of HTC upgrade roms available in the wiki (available shipped roms)and also lots of cooked roms to try. I suggest you read up on flashing in the wiki and also read this dummies guide/tutorial

I flashed it with HSPL 3. and after that i've installed FLASH(RUU via PC)in the end of installation my HTC HD from Tmobile totally died- no sings of charging, no 3 color boot screen, pc can't find Qalcom cdma something driver and can't recognize the pone.This is a site i took a ROM from:

site is in hebrew, RUU called FLASH, it's an official rom of NEWPAN ver 1.48. Please help me to unbrick it!!!!

if it was an official rom with version 1.48, then it would contain a radio that WILL kill a tmous (t mobile usa) hd2, which gives exactly the problem you describe (wont power on at all, PC sees it as qualcomm but wont find drivers)
do you have a complete filename for the rom that you flashed, please?

Anyway, do you think you flashed an official rom in hebrew language? because if yes, then that is bad, because t mobile usa hd2 ONLy supports official roms from t mobile, ALL other official roms will destroy your phone.

ok, so it seems you dont know the actual version numbers for the rom involved, but i guess it doesnt matter anyway, because all the symptoms you describe fit with what happens when you flash a non compatible radio (included in all official roms) to a tmous hd2.
There is currently no known way to fix it, other than to send it to t mobile/HTC.

im still on 1.5 how the heck do i get to 2.1 ? i don't have the option to update software and the udates on the htc site are older than what i have? confused

i dont think its possible.
i mean if it was, people would have mentioned it, with threads dedicated to updating to 2.1

Change your date to about a month forward and you should see the update (if your provider has released it).
O wait you're on a generic rom. Maybe change the rom to an official from your provider and then wait for the update.

choice 1: download offical update of 2.1 from pc and install it directly
choice 2:hack your device,but a little complex make gold card(gold card is a special tf card which have some codes and program that could approve you to flash any custome rom ) how to make gold card you could look up some information,I have some chinese information,but I think it's so difficult for you to read them.
If you have root,it's more easy,download rom,press home+ power to get into Recovery ,use recovery to backup your original rom,then wipe all ,and then flash your new rom,reboot system.
some device will notify you to update rom,but official rom i think it will forbbiden you root your device,it's not convenient. using the modified edition is recommended.

I used the Goldcard method my my 3 UK Hero then loaded the official 2.1 ROM downloaded from the HTC website. Very simple to do, as said you can also have a look for Universal Androot and go down the root path.

HP Slate 7 Extreme ROM

Hi, my rom got messed up not long ago.
It got stuck in the HP logo without being able to boot up.
Anyway, from what I've see from the HP support site, the official released firmware is still V13.
That sucks since you're not able to use that to flash your slate 7 extreme once you're installed any OTA updates after that.
I've managed to locate V19 of the firmware (KOT49H.17795_415.0374) located in the FTP server of HP (I was desperate).
I believe this might be able to help some people who got stuck without being able to flash their ROM using what's been provided by HP.
