Browser not working over WiFi - Nexus One General

For some reason, when Im on WiFi, the browser wont load any pages but just throws an error message in my face telling me "Web Page not available". All other apps work fine when connected to WiFi, but not the browser..
Any ideas?

Solved: There was a IP in the Proxy Settings set by default. Cleared it and now it works fine..

Error connecting to WiFi, Need help

Sup,
I'm having trouble connecting to my wireless router with my Qtek 9000 Windows Mobile 5.
Technically it is connected, but no webpage loads. It's a netgear wireless G router with the settings set to b/g.
I tried in both, PIE and Opera.
I tried with "Phone" on and off to see if that makes a difference.
I get an error message in PIE:
"The page cannot be displayed or downloaded because the connection was
lost. Check the connection and try again later."
Google is the only page that loads, but I think because its cached?
I get this message when I try a search:
"The page cannot be displayed because the server could not be found or a DNS error occurred."
The error I get in Opera is:
"Could not connect to proxy server
http://mail.google.com/mail/"
when connecting to gmail.com.
Please, any help?
Edit:
I have another problem too. Youtube worked in Opera with Flash Player 7 PPC except the video loaded like the first 29seconds and then stopped. When I would play what was loaded, it would lag play and then go to the replay/share screen.
I also tried the FlashVideoBundle + TCPMP combo. With the combo, I tried with and without Flash7 installed and it doesn't work at all on PIE. I would get a "Video not available" error when clicking on a search result on Youtube.
So if anyone has a solution for this problem too, please advise.

Go to the Connections Tab in settings,
Then click the Connections icon
Click the advanced Tab
Click Select Networks
Change both Drop Down Menus to "My ISP"
Click OK till you get to the Home Screen and try accessing a webpage...
I hope This Works
But wouldn't that mess up my GPRS settings?
BTW, thanks for the reply.
Dude, it worked! Awesome!
So if I have to use T-MobileWeb (tzones) GPRS, I just switch both back to work?
BTW Thanks.
Can not connect to Wifi after WM 6 upgrade
I just changed all my settings to MY ISP and I'm still getting connection errors
A Delayed Response
Sorry about failing to respond for a while...but, anywho... in the screen with the drop down menus...you're gonna want to set the first drop down menu to "My ISP" and the second drop down menu to whatever GPRS connection you use...respond with details if this fails to be of help
And...a response to Ol' Blake
The ISP setting that your attempting to change won't affect the failure to connect to certain wifi...some problems with the WM6 for the Jasjar prevent the device to connect to wifis with WPA security...I believe...I'm writing this through personal experience and what I have read in other posts...btw...is the wifi that you are attempting to connect to password protected?

Connection problems making me CRAZY - PLEASE help!

Until a recent nuke-n-pave, I had a persistent connection and everything worked. Now...
Every time I do *anything* involving an internet connection, it connects to MediaNet, then disconnects moments later. It even disconnects between web pages!
"My ISP" ([email protected]/CINGULAR1) won't work - always gives me an error message saying, "The answering modem has disconnected." I always have to use MediaNet.
Clicking on any link (e.g. in an email or SMS) starts up IE - but with a blank page. It doesn't even *try* to connect.
Push email (mail2web) won't work, even though email settings are set to "As items arrive" - I have to go to ActiveSync and click "Sync"
Please - any suggestions for fixing this would be very, very much appreciated!
OK, I flashed a new ROM and I seem to have my persistent connection back. Now the only problem I seem to have is that clicking a link in an email or SMS msg causes IE to open to blank page.
I think this might be due to installing a couple different things to try to get Oper Mini to function as my default browser. (None of them worked.) I think the uninstall didn't go smoothly and now I have a default browser issue.
Can someone tell me how to fully restore the settings for IE as default browser? I found the settings in HKCR for http and https and I restored them, but it's still not working.

Email Problem

I did a hard reset before but now when I try to conect to Live messenger it fails and the email won't sync. Internet works fine and weather updates ect.
Any ideas?
Thanks
i have a similer problem. cant send a recieve on 3g. it just says can not connect. turn on the wifi and bingo emails come down. back to 3g and nothing again. the connection i fine. i can go on line download app ect.
ive actually been going to the hotmail website to view my emails. this works fine but its not ideal. would like to get the main mail working prpoerly.
ARe you using T MObile roms? Try un ticking the 'use proxy' setting if it is set, and you should be good to go.
settings tab - menu - all settings - connections - connections - manage existing connections - proxy settings tab.
No access to email via 3G
Have set up access to email account which works fine when on a wireless network. When wireless is unavailable I am unable to connect via 3G (Telstra NextG). All I manage is a Cannot Connect message and a suggestion that I change my settings. There is no entry for a Proxy Server as I would expect and internet access via 3G is operative.

TouchFlow3d Weather Error

I've been using my phone at work where we have lousy cell signal and no wifi, so I connected my phone through bluetooth. When I went home, it stopped updating weather, and Opera gave me a proxy error. I fixed Opera by deleting its proxy settings from about:config but can't find the settings for TF3D. All other programs work without issues.

Forgot to mention that I'm trying to connect through ATT Medianet with their automatic settings on my Pure that I can't change.
Install this cab, it will remove the proxy settings and make sure both networks are set to MediaNet.
You will be able to tether as well w/o paying for tethering.

proxy problem

My nexus was working fine for a week; I installed adblock plus which forced me to change the proxy settings - kept getting ads anyway, so I uninstalled the app. But now I can't connect to the internet at all - it keeps telling me that there is a proxy issue. I tried setting it back to the original setting (no proxy) but now the nexus won't let me have no proxy. So frustrating. Help?
Have you tried deleting the connection and recreating?
