My QTEK 9100 STOPS ON BOOT SCREEN, PLEASE HELP!

Hello,
I installed SPB Pocket Plus, then I reboot, since then my mobile stops in the boot screen.
Is there a way to boot in safe mode? (I tryied to boot holding the two upper buttons, failed.)
Is there a way to format the mobile before booting?
If I need to reinstall EVERYTHING, how do I do it? Using the USB cable? Where do I get the ROM? How do I procede installing the rom?
Please, I would REALLY appreciate any suggestion,

same here! don't know what to do, a hear an alarm tune and then it stops...
I did a hard reset now...

A quick Google search got me HERE.
Press and hold both the Comm Mannager Button and the Voice Command Button
While keeping those two buttons pressed, press the Reset Button with your stylus
After about a second you will be prompted for confirmation. Press the Talk Button to confirm

Additionally, if you can still connect to your desktop by USB Cable, you should be able to remove the offending software with ActiveSync without hard-reseting.

that's how i did it:
Plug the device on power
Turn on your device
1. Press simultaneously the 2 upper buttons (comm. & voice) and keep them pressed
2. After 3 s press the soft reset button and keep it pressed for 3 s, (comm. & voice are still pressed)
3. Release soft reset button., (comm. & voice are still pressed)
4. Don’t release comm. & voice buttons until you see on the black screen some Instructions to format your drive.
5. release comm. & voice buttons
6. press call button to start format your drive.

Hold both volume buttons and press and release the power button I think!

Hi, most HTC using this step
press and hold : 1 Call-key , hangup-key, and power-key
2 then then click yes need hold power
3 black screen, press power again will as for hard reset

To perform a hard reset

Ladies and Gents,
Now that I have been playing with mine for the best part of 24hrs :-D I can confirm that the best way to do a hard reset is to not bother with the holding down of the volume keys and quickly hitting the on / off button - this didn't work for me ONCE!!
It is however possible if you select the CLEAR STORAGE option in the settings menu and key in 1234.
Works perfectly.

I need to wipe my HD - it's going back and I'm getting a replacement (original has dead pixels).
Does the Clear Storage actually clear everything like a hard reset?
Also - does this wipe the SD card?

hard reset will not wipe your storage card. It will however wipe your device storage.

Clear storage will do exactly the same thing as a hard reset. It sends your device back to the time it came out of the box for the 1st time.
It leaves your mem card alone.

I suppose another solution would be to remove the SD card before wiping!
Hope the replacement is ok -then I can start putting my apps back!

Thanks Mate I have just tried it and It works perfectly. Although you have to be slight quick because the actual volume button are on the cover. You know what I mean.
EDIT: You can just turn off the phone press the volup and voldown button and press the power button it will go for hard reset. No need for opening back cover.

Clear Storage requies Windows Mobile to be running.
Hard reset provides the same function at a hardware level - i.e. you don't need Windows running...

Please Help ?? Someone ?? I did the Volume up+volume down+power button and it displays the colors and it just stays there,it says only htc blackstone led etc... message but doesn`t go any further to the deleting thing. Anyone can help me ?? What`s wrong with it ? Thanks a lot !!

If your phone does not reboot even after a hard reset I would try flashing a different rom. Would start by restoring stock rom first then using Dummies Guide top flash custom rom

Soft reset procedure for HTC Leo

Hello,
I have a Verizon Imagio (HTC Leo) and cannot figure out how to do a basic soft reset. Does anyone know how to perform this via either button combinations OR a program on the phone that does a SOFT reset (not the full HARD reset). Thanks for any help on this!

Also wouldnt it be the power button that you hold down, i think its not a dedicated button so i will guess the call end button will do this.

Is this to power off the device or to reset the device? I think it is to power off...

Poweroff is a soft reset.
A hard reset blows away all your info and settings. Like a format
Hold the power button down and you will get a prompt.

Hard reset is holding both the volup and voldown buttons during poweron

You could try Touchoff... it installs as a cab file and when you hold your power button down, it gives you the option of shutdown, soft reset, etc... or pxshutxp... which is an app that you have to tap to open for the same functions as touchoff....

Can't HARD RESET my Diamond2...

Hi all, guys. So, the problem is the following...
I need to hard reset mi topaz, but the VolUP + VolDown + PowerON method doesn't work. The 1234 method can't be performed since I can't access start menu. I didn't try the VolUP + VolDown + RED button when Topaz is turned on.
I think it's strange that method 1 doesn't work. It boots normally, like ignoring I'm pressing the two Volume buttons...
Any suggestion, solution, guys?

The RED button method worked, but It's strange why the VolUP + VolDown + PowerOn method is still not working...

the soft reset and power buttons do the same thing, it just reboots the phone, and while phone starts to boot, before splash screen appears, is when you have to hold the volume keys.
So it would be;
Power on, THEN hold both volume keys immediately before device starts to boot,
or
Hit soft reset, THEN hold both volume keys immediately before device starts to boot

This doesn't work. I think you got it mixed up.

No, it works, you just aren't fast enough.
It's just different ways to get to the same place.
The point is, volumes must be pressed as device begins to boot.
I just soft reset and press them and it always works for me.

But the ArtieQ method is the one I always used... and the one that usually worked... but anyway, NOW IT WORKS! Thanks Bruce again!

hd2 won't start, freeze

my hd2 won't start, it freeze when the htc logo appear, i have reset it by holding down the volume buttons but that didn't helpt. is there anyone who knows what to try then, to make it work again

Reset via phone buttons:
If you cannot turn on your phone or access the phone settings, you can still perform a Hard reset by using buttons on the phone.
- With your phone powered off, press and hold the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons.
- While holding the volume buttons, press the END/POWER button briefly and then release it.
- When you see a warning message on screen, release the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons.

i wrote that i have tried that, and it didn't help

did you do anything before this happened? (your first post is typically bare of any facts) like flash a new rom? If so what? Does it show the RGD info bottom left on the screen it hangs on? You said you tried hard reset but it didnt work, , do you mean it didnt work, or it worked but didnt fix it?

i hard reset it but it didn't fix it. i have ran froyo nexus one on it for a couple of weeks and the last week i tried hyperdroid. but after i have installed hyperdroid, sometimes it just restart by itself i have read other who got the same problem.but sometimes it it did not reboot again, there was only a white screen, and then i have to soft reset it a couple of times until it reboot correctly. but then the last 2 days it got worse with the reeboting and now it can't boot

you must update your rom with your sd card without boot to windows..(i know u can't it's for this reason than i say that)
but i dont understand how do it.. sorry search on this forum
