Has anybody gotten this to work?
I've sent a request to RIM and have heard nothing back! The client installs perfectly fine but no PIN is given on the device, also tried with different OS's to no avail :s

Hi,
is there any solution for getting LEAP working on Wizard. It seems that I-mate AKU 2 ROM has software for it since I can start LEAP program and add new entries, but it's not working - I can't connect to my corporate WLAN.
Is there any solution for this problem. Will this be at least in some new ROM, etc?
I'm in the same boat.
I've done countless searches and hours of investigation. Some have reported success, but I have contacted them and done exactly as they did and still no joy.
My network administrator claims that we are not using any restrictive protocols and/or options on our network and is also puzzled as to why it will not connect. It does attempt to connect to the AP, but authorization fails everytime.
I have official given up. If anyone can provide insight I believe that many would be indebited.
Perhaps you and the admin should take a look at the logs and figure out where it's stopping exactly? I haven't had the need to use LEAP yet so I can't really comment but a little sniffing around will probably tell you what's going on.
My main question is: Is LEAP working at all on Wizard? My previous device was iPAQ 4150 and it was working perfect using LEAP in my corporate WLAN - so I don't think that the problem is in some restrictions.
With the new AKU2 ROM came an add on for LEAP - the software is there, but is Wizard actually using entries that I enter there? It seems that it doesn't.
Well I have some encouraging news for you ...
My last PDA was also the 4150, and I could not get that working on our corporate WLAN either ... therefore ... you may have better luck than I.
Best of luck ... if you get it working, could PM me please.
Thanks, Greg
it's amazing why enterprises are still using the LEAP when its proprietary to cisco when many non proprietary types of EAP are easily available and better support..
PEAP for one is totallly free, offers similar if not stronger authentication and works with most recent windows operating systems
I have gotten it to work. The last version of Funk Odyssey works. You can download a trial from Juniper's website.
@work!
I bought my HD2 two weeks ago, and we're using a blackberry server @ work.
With the HD, Blackberry Connect never quite worked for me. But how about the HD2?
Does Blackberry Connect work in any version?
Does Blackberry Application Suite work with the BB server on a HD2?
Who has tried already?
dont think so. my father got a bb server @ work as well and it wasnt possible for him to access it. I think the encryption/safety-options of a bb-server a simply too strong to hack them in an easy way whereafter it should be quiet difficult to pretend to the server that you "are" a blackberry.
ok, but I think that BB Connect is provided by Blackberry themselves. So it should be possible to get a propper ID from the server. But I had problems with several versions of BB Connect, until my HD finally connected to the server. But didn't synchronize at the end...
I had used the BB Connect software for the "instant mails" facility of the Blackberry on my Touch HD, and it worked flawlessly!
the latest version is 4.06 or something like that.
for me, as it has worked perfectly on the touch HD, should work on HD2 as well.
Try it out.
Thanks mate, I'll try it out.
@ the moment I am using xtend connect pc to get lotus and winmo synchronised...
Anyone try using a PPTP VPN and get it working? My linux laptop and old iphone 3g connect fine to this end point, but the Epic fails almost immediately. Ideas?
Thanks
Actually, I tried this myself and had it fail as well (although I couldn't test it with another client ie my laptop at the time). I've also had many other problems getting more than a few other applications to connect: (see this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=775836)
I'm seriously thinking there is some firewalling/port blocking that was built into this phone. I wouldn't say it's built into the networks because both sprint and clear connections exhibit exact same applications not working (ports blocked?) and thus I'd guess port blocking in the config files of the phone. I'll research the issue more in depth after I get my phone exchanged first (gotta take it back and rebuy it to get my 2 year discount :\ don't wanna root before)
Hi, I tried installing "Ip Webcam" from market on my HD2, but it won't work. when i start the service it run like it should on the phone, and I can access the webcam part just fine in the browser from the phone. but when I try to access it with my browsers on the PC nothing happens.
And yes I have port forwarded my router as I should.
And I tried pinging the phone, and it didn't work.
The problem startet after I went from SD builds to NAND builds.
so anyone know how to fix this? I would really appreciate it if you can help me with this problem.
Greetings daniel3006
update:
tried it from my friends Iphone, and both his mobile and my laptop is on the same network, and he could access the webcam just fine from safari on his phone. But still I can't access it, and tried on 3 laptops. :S
Try pinging your laptop with your HD2, after that you try pinging the HD2 from your laptop. It should work for a short time. The problem is in all builds without SENSE. With a SENSE-Build it works.
It works only in a couple of roms with sense - not with all.
Here is another thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=939853
thx. it worked when I pinged my laptop from the phone.. but strange it doesn't work out of the box on non-sense builds. :s
Hi,
I just got my transformer, and am loving it. However, desperately missing the Splashtop streaming experience that so many people are raving about. Please help.
Whenever I try connecting, it says "Connect failed"
I have already enabled Splashtop Windows client in my Windows Firewall.
Also, I created a Splashtop rule (as mentioned on their site) to allow ports 6783-6785.
Have tried to seek help on their site, and in desperation turning to experts on XDA. Please help resolve this. In addition to the above, I am running a McAfee Antivirus that is enabled by the company admin, so I cant shut that...but I suppose that should be ok. Please please help...
Before 3.1, I had no issues. After, i'm having some issues sometimes too. I have to click it 2-4 times before it connects.
Don't know what happened. Nothing changed on my pc end. Wondering if it's a TF thing.
Does it work while on the local network? If so then its a port forwarding issue in your router or youre using the wrong address. If it doesnt work locally it is an issue w your splashtop server setup or windows firewall.

If via lan (inside your nerwork) u don't need to port forwarding. All u need to use is the ip address of that machine. Are u having issues inside or outside your network? I noticed on mines, when I get connect failed I need to stop splashtop client and then start it again. Here a weird issue Im having, if there was a session of rd (windows) on my server then after that I will always get failed error with splashtop. I need to either reboot that machine or use logmein to restart the software on the computer. For me, there an issues with splashtop and windows 7 rd.
It doesn't work for me within my home network. Is there a way to try and narrow down the problem, or test it differently?

Try downloading the free version in the market: https://market.android.com/search?q=splashtop&so=1&c=apps
If it works, you may have a problem with the Asus-installed version. If it doesn't work, it could be the "server" portion

Just checked out the free verison and the highest resolution is 1024× 768 which look like crap on the Tf. Unless the paid verison has a native resolution for the TF, I going to stick with the splashtop that come with the Tf
There's a bug with splashtop I think. I can't connect to my mac mini unless the monitor is on or plugged in. Maybe you should try that.

I'm pretty sure the answer is right here:
"In addition to the above, I am running a McAfee Antivirus that is enabled by the company admin"
You might want to chat with the company admin. If it's a work computer, 99.9999% of all admins will lock down ports to their IT Assets and there's not a darn thing you can do except get them to open it (small company) or get fired for trying to hack their network (large company).
If it's a work laptop maybe it might be on your side and something you can change but the vast majority of time the IT folks are going to close down company resources to avoid folks being able to do exactly what you are trying to do.
The splashtop desktop portion said there was an update so I installed it but now it only keeps me connected for a few seconds then it drops out. It also doesn't let me interact with what I'm seeing on screen. Anyone else run across this?
I have tried about everything I can think of to get Splashtop to work form outside ny home network:
Disabled firewall in Trend AV
Allowed Ports 6783-6785 in Trend
Turned off windows FW and allowed ports (three entries)
Turned off FW for UV modem
Allowed Ports in router (Lynksys)
And even tried disabling FW in router.
Thus at some point, all FW's were off, verified ip address (starts with 99, so correct one), used ipconfig to find IP of my computer too...
Whew... Any thoughts? Logmein works like S***, so I don't think I'll go there until they update it (or is the app better?)
Thanks!
