I would just like to thank all of the people on xda and especially all the blackstone programmers/contributors for your amazing willingness to just give away your hard work . Because without xda i would have never bought the blackstone and im sure im not the only one . HTC needs to catch a wakeup and support you guys /or pay you some sort of royalty
If only they would hire people on here! Then we would see some kick ass devices.
Yes, XDA makes our devices cool. No thanks to HTC.
HTC makes the platforms we base our customizations on... I'm not sure if saying no thanks to HTC is entirely fair. Yes, there is a lot left to be desired, but I like the HD even without modification, but thanks to XDA I just love it.
Major thanks to all the people that provide customization and addons to phone, or should I say, computer platform with a calling function slapped onto it
HTC and others
I know they search XDA and try out the roms. XDA you guys fully rock!!
Loads of talent here!!
In regards to the classification of the Imagio/Whitestone and just as many of us thought, it's not a damn Topaz/Diamond2 or anything. As with the Blackstone, it is it's own phone. I would be happy to forward the email to any forum admin/moderator if need be but it's time we get a separate forum lol.
New Response From [ John (North America Support (Tech)) ]
Hello *******,
I would be happy to provide you with more information about the Verizon Imagio. The HTC codename for the Verizon Imagio is the HTC Whitestone. The Imagio is not the HTC Touch Diamond2. This device is exclusive to Verizon. The current US release of the HTC Touch Diamond2 is with AT&T and renamed to HTC Pure. The HTC Pure and Verizon Imagio are 2 completely different devices.
Please feel free to contact us again if you have any further questions. In order to help improve our service I’d like to invite you to take a survey at http://survey.htc.com/worldwide. Thank you for contacting HTC America Technical Support via e-mail.

Good job you got to the bottom of it as far as I am concerned. Solute!
Awesome!
I was curious why this phone did no have it's own section yet.
I sent a message to the forum admin hoping they'd reconsider creating an Imagio/Whitestone section for us. The initial post in the General forum was locked for some reason. Maybe with enough support for this they will create our own forum.
Thank you
I love my new Imagio, having "upgraded" from a TouchPro. (Well four TP's over the course of six months - the shortest life-span lasting less than four days! )
I would love to see it's own forum, and perhpas because the specifications internally are a bit different it does deserve one. Here's hoping.
i was wondering the same thing, same thing must have been found out over at ppcgeeks forum they made the change a couple of days ago...
looks like we have alot of members picking up the Imagio. With all the support im sure they will make a new section for it
PPCgeeks has an Imagio section now....
Everyone should understand by now that the HTC Imagio is just the Touch Pro 2 (CDMA) w/o the physical keyboard. Same screen, same processor, CDMA + GSM worldwide, .... so of course it's not the Topaz/diamond 2 ...
I as well would love to see a section all the Imagio itself and I am hoping that there are enough members with the phone to have the goods that I enjoyed with the Touch Pro. I am not sure how long I will be able to go without flashing my phone 3-4 times a week lol.
So far I've heard nothing back from the site admin regarding this. I don't want to keep pushing them or bugging them lol. For now I remain pretty active on the PPCGeeks dedicated Imagio forum and just keep hoping xda will do the same and make us a forum
Hurray they're making the Whitestone/Imagio forums!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=546
i feel like with it properly named we can get more activity going on!
Any word on if they will move these threads to the whitestone forum?

There are enough differences between the Touch Pro 2 and the Imagio (no video out for one) that, despite being told by Verizon that the Imagio was the TP2 w/o the slide, they are very different functionality wise.

I speak for all the evo users. We would like to see if you guys can port wp7 onto the htc evo. i am no noob. I just need some guidence.
Anyone up for it? I will def. Donate
I would really like to see some cross forum team work on this.
PS: No offence OP if you speak for evo don't make us look bad could you touch up you spelling a weeeee bit. Thanks
PPS: Take out "bribe included" from the title or the moderators will delete this thread.
I would also love to see some cooperation between the excellent devs and communities of these devices. This would be amazing
Lets go I'd drop some funds to get someones attention; no one over in the evo section seems to want to take interest. Well some do but we need some devs to bite. We just need a starting point. Can you hd2 devs give us some pointers? This needs to come to life!!!!

we have androidball porting this for us. any help would be appreciated. there is a thread in the evo development section.
Our dev can't really work on WP7 for our hd2, just because dft haven't release their tool yet. Seems like it's difficulte to build WP7 rom for other devices without proper tool, hope you will get some help.
Cotulla doesn't have an Evo, does he ? (Joking )
I'd love to see WP7 on other non-official devices beside the HD2 ..
you have to send cotulla the message. Give him an Evo and he might considered doing the port.
The time has come to say goodbye to this forum.. because of this forum i have jumped onto the android bandwagon.. thank you to all the developers for the wonderful ROMs that you have produced to keep the HD2 a remarkable device. I've been on XDA forums since my XDA II and will stay here, just moving to the Samsung page.. thanks again everyone for all your great work!!!
congrates on your new toys
i'll keep my Leo as monumental devices, even it's over for winmo, but capabilities are developed time to time...android seems so interesting but can't put away my thought on WP7, times will decide..
Now with my Leo....just can't live without doing something different
Hello XDA,
My name is swagstr and I am as some would call a developer and others would call a contributor. Either way, I have created two very successful ROMs, SOS+ (X/S/M) for the HTC EVO 4G and SOS M for the HTC EVO 3D.
I have a vision for a new project and I was hoping to get as many developers and contributors as possible to help with this project.
The project is titled: All Swagged Out Project. It is a play on the way most people misspell AOSP.
The goal is simple. Every time a new developer or contributor begins to dig his/her heels in and tries to learn how to modify Android, this person has to search and search and search. I was hoping that the people that develop and contribute for the EVO devices could take the lead and create a repository of sorts for modifications.
A wise man named tommytomatoe (developer of The Classic ROM for the HTC EVO 4G) once said: "Sharing is caring." I fully believe in this motto and hope that everyone in the EVO community feels the same way. I have opened up several threads over at the SOS Forums where people can post their original (or borrowed) mods and tweaks for the EVO 4G LTE, 3D, V, and 4G. I would not be opposed to having these posted at XDA, but I think I would be nice to the XDA moderators if I took the moderating of these threads on myself. My goal is to moderate these threads and add as much information as possible to provide the best ROMs for EVO users.
I think this could revolutionize knowledge sharing in the Android community and I hope EVO users can lead the way.

Interesting...........so we would have to register on this site in order to contribute to this project of yours??
Since it's a forum, I'd imagine so...
I could c people responding with different mods they find or make and posting them here and u maintaining a off site website where u store the mods in different categories. But it couldn't be in a forum like settings as redirecting from xda to another forum is frown upon.
XDA Moderator
I figure that if I added, say, my Guide, I'd have to upload all the files that are linked in there to my dev-host, for example, then copy/paste the info with the links going to my site, instead of the xda links. I think that's what you.re trying to say, Smurf?

Yeah the point I was trying to make was that since it is a forum that it will require people to sign up in order to contribute and this MIGHT be considered a form of advertising his site!
I know what he's trying to do is helpful BUT is the way that is being handled......that's why I said it was interesting! Obviously, I'm no moderator BUT I've been on XDA long enough to know that this kind of stuff like Papa Smurf said is frown upon.
We'll see what comes of this project...hahahaha

Even though this is a great idea,i would'nt see having to go off site and register to post our knowledge/guides/mods and others from this forum as a redirect from XDA,but i would be interested if you would concider keeping this here on XDA instead.I think i have a few things to contribute that i've learned over time.
I appreciate the ideas and I like the discussion. Suggestions for how to keep this maintained on XDA?

Isnt tommys famous motto enjoy the possibilities? Lol sharing is caring....
Well i think it should be on a different site like a forum but just one main big thread and we can use BB codes

Sharing is caring is something completely different then what swagstr is trying to do
YES he's trying to create something like a one stop shop for people starting up to help them and not cause them to spend hours and hours of searching.
The issue on hand I believe is that having it on a different site causes an issue with XDA rules and policies
Anyways, my suggestion to you swagstr is that you should request people to send you guides, suggestions, tips or whatever via PM and when you have enough of them.....start up a thread in the general section or maybe the development section.
Once you get enough guides or whatever, request that it be turn into a sticky
Hope everything works out as this is something that in my personal opinion could prove to be helpful if done correctly!
Let me know what you end up going with and I'll write up a few guides to contribute to it!
A thing like this is something I would be interested in.....
