I installed the rooted Tmo 1.5 and I love it! the only problem I have is that I can update the radio but when I update the SPL it crashes. Also I can only install the basic version. When I tried to update to the enhanced it would loop the ANDROID logo forever. Also when I tried to just install the enhanced version from the get go it did the same thing. Any suggestions?
I'm using CM-Recovery-1.4
Thanks!

What do you meant when updating the spl it crashes? And whats the enhanced version?
When you go to download the TMO update it has a fully loaded and a basic, then there is an update to take the basic to fully loaded. and as far as updating the SPL I downloaded the update, ran it, then when my phone booted up, it would show the Tmobile G1 screen then the ANDROID screen and it would cycle the sliding art there.
Where are you downloading this T-Mobile update from? And what spl where you trying to install?
I downloaded the ROM from this forum and the SPL and radio are these

What version of spl do you have now? You know once you load the new spl it overwrites your existing rom causing it to go in a loop until you load a new rom. And did you read the directions on that page cause just glancing at it I saw something that said if you go into a boot loop do this......
Hello, I've been reading these forums now for a while to find a solution but couldn't find anything.
The problem started in the beginning when I didn't write down my SPL version. So what I think what happened is that there was a 2.xx version on it.
Installed Jade-HardSPL_V5_20R3_232HSPL
Reverted back to stock version 1.4
The problem I'm having now is that when I startup my Touch 3G it's REALLY SLOW. And I need to know how I can put the version 2.3 back on it.
Because when I connect it with activesync and I try to install the 2.3 or the Jade-HardSPL_V5_20R3_232HSPL my HTC goes in 3 colour screen and then the screen changes white with a loading bar. But it stays in loading and doesn't load anything.
Who can help me please?

Hi guys, I really need your help. When I'm trying to flash a custom ROM on my phone, it finishes the process as usual and it will reboot the phone. My problem is that the ROM DOES NOT CHANGE??!! The radio is upgraded but the ROM stays the same. Any ideas?? PLEASE HELP!
Do you still have the radio file in the same folder as the flashing program and the rom file?
If so, that might be your issue. Move the Radio file outside of the folder and try again.
Pay attention to the version numbers that pop up when you're going through the flash program too.
Can anyone tell me if there's a way to flash a new radio with android already flashed.
i would like to know that too >.<
probably via the bootloader? or do we really have to flashback to winmo first Oo
1. Power off your device.
2. Hold Volume Down key and power on the device till u get the tricolour screen.
3. Flash your Preferred Radio Rom
Where can you download these radio roms? And once you flash those roms do you still keep your Android rom that you have installed before you flash the radio rom?

you will still have your android without any changes
Once you are in the tricolour screen you just flash with customRUU? Because customRUU wont find any information concerning the radio that is already installed..?

Hello again,
Just wondering if you flashed the correct stock rom check out this post to make sure...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=623283
It must be the correct one for your device otherwise there could be a radio problem!!
You do have HSDPL 2.08 on your HD2 so that is a plus. Please post your Carrier's name and the region the HD2 is from. I can use this info to make sure you have the correct stock ROM for your device and see if it might be a older version Win Mo ROM for your device as I think you have what is referred to as a stuck radio. If I remember right some members that have had this was able to get a older version of Win Mo to flash and then they were good to go again. Maybe Samsamuel will come and give some of his enlightened advice as he probably good guide you more than I could.

Yes enter the serial number of your device into the HTC website and it should show you the correct ROM for your device. If that does not work try entering the serial number in google and see what you can find that way.
Didn't find a solution yet

As I posted in my first post, it appears you have a stuck radio problem. The only way you will fix it is to find a stock ROM for device that has a earlier version radio. For some reason only earlier radio versions have been able to fix this problem, but it must be in a stock RUU. Just flashing the radio will not work. I am truly sorry I can not offer any more help, but with out the information I asked you for in my second post in this thread I can not help you find a RUU that might would work.

Try your stock ROM.
This is the Stocks on the HTC web page.
If you have tmobile use this with your imei
http://dl.htc.com/ruudownload/t-mobileUS/Filedownload.aspx?pid=leo2
Or if you have EU version;
http://www.htc.com/sea/help/htc-hd2/#download
Choose "news and download". And choose Rom update.

Flash magldr and it should work, if it works and it still doesnt let you flash a rom then boot an sd rom from magldr.
Has this not been solved? I see many suggestions but no reply lately from OP.
If it is a radio problem, you can always flash a radio without changing your ROM.
I am curious as to why this started in the first place. Where you using your phone and one day it stopped?
Did you flash the android ROM or did you buy it that way?
Which android ROM was it?

If the OP or anyone else for that matter has what is known as a stuck radio. Then just flashing the radio will not work, it will fail every time. I do not know what causes the issue on HD2's but I do know it does exist. I also do not know why flashing older ROMs via RUU works to fix the issue sometimes either, but again I do know it does on occasion work to fix the device. When you have a stuck radio it does as the OP says it will fail when trying to flash the radio. It also for some reason prevents you from flashing anything to the system partition of the device. Now I know people will say just flash a custom Win Mo ROM as they do not have radios with them or just flash MAGLDR or clk. But again it will not let you flash anything to the system partition so this is null and void as well. Being able to fix this is just finding the right combonation of older SPL version and older radio version in the same RUU. I have never seen a stuck radio be fixed by flashing from SD card.

Ok, I see. I was not aware of this 'stuck radio' issue. This is the first time I hvae heard of it. I have had the white screen of death before. Mine was caused by a flashable zip that I made which I had misplaced the proper files. I adb'd those files back to the proper location and all was well. That is why I was asking if it happened out of nowhere or after something had changed.
If you cannot do a task 29, but flashing older stock ROMs do work may be because they perform a similar task while flashing. I may be the system partition is too full to allow anything to be loaded to flash.
But, I do not know.
