On htc magician, center of my touchscreen dont work, screen is ok but touchscreen dont work in the center of screen! Broken of some system problem?
Maybe your touchscreen digitizer is broken?
you may try this it works on my htc wizard
try to massage the digitizer in the middle maybe it stick too close to the glass screen
found this temp solution in the wizard sections
but you ll need to replace the screen finally

I have serious problem with my o2 xda mini s pda.
After I buy this pda touch screen work perfectly but after few uses touch screen stop work or work sporadically in landscape. I started to seatch for a sollution. I found that the flex cable can be damaged for long time use but in addiotion the all screen can stop work correctly after dagmage this flex cable (my screen work good - no trail or something).
Now the touch screen stop response for any touch (potrair or landscape).
My question is what can i do ? Can anybody tell me what is the faulty part (flex cable or touch layer) ? Maybe there is other option...

The touch screen of my HTC elf doesn't work anymore.
I am going to order some parts to change the digitizer myself and also the casing to make it look a little newer.
Anyway, I'd like to understand how the touch functionality works exactly. Is it a pressure on the digitizer itself that make a "touch" or is it a pressure on the digitizer that press the screen and this action make a "touch" ?
When I power my disassemble Elf, a pressure on the screen itself doesn't do anything....
I'd like to know if I need to order a screen as well

just replaced my own elf's digitizer a month ago... and the phone is like new.
To answer your question it's the digitizer that reads pressure and sends the data to the system (if you already disassembled it you should have noticed a flat cable that connects the digitizer to the board).
So if the screen on your elf is working you should solve the problem by replacing only the digitizer.

After a busted screen I replaced the LCD and Digitizer. After that I didn't make any changes to the software (ROM, nor settings) of the HTC.
LCD works fine, but my screen alignment is bad. On almost all items I have to thick on one item beneath it to get it, also some items are not reachable due to this problem.
I managed to start the alignment proces with the use of the Remote Alignment tool, alle goes well but the upper two crosses. The digitizer simply doesn't respond to these and after al while starts over again.
Is it normal that you have to align your screen after a digitizer replacement?
Will it help to hard reset my HTC? (I'm using a hacked ROM, last one from Dutty WM6.5, so it doesn't start automatically with the alignmentproces)
When the upper crosses don't respond in the alignment proces, does this mean the Digitizer isn't ok?
I found a thread about Remote Screen Alignment on this board (/showthread.php?t=355010). Will this help for me? The phone is almost unusable so installing / using PHM Registry Editor will be almost impossible.

hay guys finaly got my screen for my HD2 i did buy a LCD with the digitizer attached but now the touch dont seem to work at all any ideas any help would be great thank you just found another issue when i go in to Nand i cant select any thing like USB flasher AD recovery or even reboot phone the buttons just dont want to work in it but they work by chance if the power button was busted would it screw the touch screen up and the rest ?
just answered one of my Q's touch screen still dont work even with the buttons unplugged
and after a closer look aparently the LCD Back light is allways on soo im just wondering is it the new screen + digitizer or is it the phone ? a replie would be nice

I was applying a Zagg Invisible Shield on my HD2 today and the only thing I can imagine is maybe I pressed too hard on the screen while squeegeeing the solution and now my touch screen is not working. Everything else is working fine, I can still answer calls using the buttons at the bottom but the touch screen is dead. Is there hopefully some kind of fix for this or am I SOL and need to replace the digitizer? Thanks in advance.

may be your pressing hard has broken the connection or has caused a loose connection between the digitizer and the flex cable/ribbon.
if your good in DIY may be you can dismantle and fix it..
if not a repair shop is your option !
